Ireta Shurtz was released from the Relief Society organist. organ-ist. Teena Johnson visited with them, also Warren Peterson. Julie Hansen from Cedar visited vis-ited over the weekend with David Clark and family Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Clark. Jim Shurtz was made Ward Organist Organ-ist and Ireta Shurtz was released re-leased with a vote of thanks. Sorry to hear of the death of Phillip Larson, husband of Merle Jenson Larson in Nev. Tressa Jenson and son, Rex, left Sunday to attend the funeral fun-eral Monday. We send our "Sympathy" to Merle and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Huning-ton Huning-ton (Phyllis) and his brother Stanley and his financee Valerie Val-erie Shurtz from Cedar visited her parents, Bp. and Mrs. Bob Jenson during the week. Bp. Bob Jenson and wife, Verla, returned home from Denver, Colo, .after visiting a few days with relatives. The funeral of John Clark was very nice, all the children were home and stayedfor afew days after. ABRAHAM We were happy to have Mrs. Charlotte Hansen Stout and her son Woodruff and wife from Salt Lake visit us Monday. She works for the Salt Lake Tribune Tri-bune and has for ten years. Woodruff Is a carpenter and lives in Bountiful. We took her to see the old Woodruff place and his mother's home place (the Max Holbrook farm). We were sorry to hear of the accidental death of Leo Petersen's Peter-sen's grandson In Idaho. Our deep sympathy goesto the family. fam-ily. On channel 2 TV a story of Fred Farnsworth ( Myrle Mr. ACTON FULLMES Young's husband) of Ely, Nev. and his mine was very interesting. inter-esting. It showed his homemade mining equipment and how it works. We received a call from my nelce, Ada Brown Buffalo of Pocatello, Idaho one day last week. Quite a bit of snow up there already. What kind of ylnter are we going to have I wonder. Our love and sympathy goes to all the dark families at the death of John Clark after such a long Illness. Our friend and former neighbor, neigh-bor, Julia Bliss (Ferron's wife) of Spanish Fork was nominated as teacher of the day by her students in the Spanish Fork schooL I'm sure Julia deserves the honor. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Tolbert also visited the Petersons recently. re-cently. Dale says he is now a grandpa. His son Roger has a baby boy. Happy birthday greetings this week go to Mrs. Leah Re id, Miss Connie Fullmer and to Gene Fullmer, Mrs. Jean Andersen, An-dersen, Grantsville, Lynn Thomas, Delta, Robert Sampson, Samp-son, Henderson, Nev. I hope everyone has the happiest hap-piest and nicest Thanksgiving day. We all do have so much' to be Thankful for. Mr. and Mrs, Jim Ames of Escondido Call', visited the Clifferd Petersens Monday. They had been In Salt Lake to a National Grange meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson and four children of Salt Lake, Dixie Lynn Tolbert and Sid Tolbert who Is recovering very nicely from that bad auto mobile accident last summer, also visited Erma and Clifferd during dur-ing the Pheasant hunt. Lewis and Judy Tolbert of Delta came out and they had a nice day together. Also during the hunt Erma's daughter, Char leen and husband and family of Salt Lake were here. Monday was Mrs. Rose Webbs 81st Birthday. Lola and, Walt Stoneking had Birthday dinner with her Sunday. ' Lola and Walt enjoyed a nice visit at the Garland Johnson home Saturday evening. Emily and Alva Young called on us Sunday after church and we talked old times until pretty late and enjoyed it so much. NORTH DELTA Miss Mary Barney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Barney Bar-ney of Martinez, Calif, a student at BYU and her room mate Miss Ellen Norris spent the weekend in Delta recently with Mary's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vert Barney. Saturday Satur-day visitors at the Vert Barney home were Mrs. Barney's sister, sis-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Royal L. Allred of Spring City. Sunday, Nov. 22, Mrs. Vert Barney celebrated her birthday birth-day and had a phone call from her children, Beulah Theobold, Ralph Barney and Gordon Barney Bar-ney all of Calif.
