AFTON FULLMEB CBS INTERVIEWS INEZ RIDING The New York offices of the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) interviewed Inez Riding by telephone last week for an upcoming up-coming segment of that company's news magazine "60 Minutes". According to Mrs. Riding the questions asked concerned the Woman's Liberation Movement, new dress styles and capabilities of women as compared to men's. The interview is scheduled to be aired the latter part pf September or early October. VERDA LITTLE Mr. and Mrs. Armand Mingione , (Norma Jeanne) returned to their home in Escondido, Calif., after spending the . past week in Delta with their parents, Mr. nnd Mrs. W. LeGrande Law. They came to bring their son, Richard B. Little, who has been called to tho Gulf States on a mission for the LDS Church. They all went to Salt Lake Satrduay morning to take Richard to the mission home, stopping In Springville to see his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wind. The Laws and Mingiones returned to Salt Lake Wednesday Sept. 2nd and spent the day with him before he departed for his mission Sept. 3rd. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Roberts of San Francisco, Calif, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Quin Shepherd dand Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Robtrts and Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Works. The Roberts Rob-erts were returning home from Wenatchce, Wash., where they visit ed a brother and family, Melvin, and father Frank Roberts. The group with Verna, also attended the wedding of a niece, Mary Jane Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. L. H . Riding visited with Mr. and Mrs. Nlelson (Agnes Black) of Flaming Gorge for a few days, then they spent one day at Jackson Hole, Wyo. From there they went to Salmon, Idaho for some delightful fishing and stayed over night. On the return trip home the Ridings visited with the Raymond Ray-mond Vest family over night. Elder Rouald Moody, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Moody has returned return-ed home after completing a two year LDS mission in London, England. Eng-land. Elder Moody's plane was held up several hours while getting thru customs. The family also had a long wait in Salt Lake Air Port which made it 3:00 Sunday morning morn-ing getting to Delta. There were twenty-three trailers and fifty 1 people In attendance. I find these ' caravans are very popular through- ' out the country. I Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jefferv. Tonva nnd Ralph also attended the trailer i rally along with their parents. ! Returning just In time for school from a trip to New Mexico and Mex ico were Lauretta and Margene Jeffery, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Hale Jeffery. The Girls were treated treat-ed to the trip by their uncle, James Hunter, Mrs. Jeffery's brother. Dorothy Jeffery and Marilyn , Co vice chairwomen attended Senator Moss' Opening Campaign Rally Saturday in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Jensen, Jr. (Cora Gardner) and son, David of Los Angeles visited Dorothy Gardner, Gard-ner, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Gardner and Steven. They also visited Evan Gardner who is In the University Uni-versity Hospital. From there they went to Ogden where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Cropper. Mrs. Margaret Jackson was entertained with a birthday party at the home of her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. LaMont Works. Mrs. Jackson is 84 years young and enjoys her stay in the Extended Care Center. Those in attendance at the party were Mr. and Mrs. Wells Kenny and daughter, Glenda of Holden, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Nelson of Monrovo, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Roger Nelson, Dan and Marchi of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jackson and family of 7 children, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cowen and Jennifer, Mr. and Mrs. Atkins and daughter, Angelo, Mr and Mrs. Seth Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Dwaine Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. LaVerl Jackson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Works and daughter, Sherian. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hardy and family. A lovely dinner was served ser-ved to forty-three people. Most everyone in this area knows Leona really can serve a very delicious and lovely dinner. Mrs. Niel Howard and children, Mrs. John I. Pratt and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Swalberg visited in American Fork with the Fred Warnicks; in Orem with Paul and Jeri Swalberg and in Salt Lake with Don and Carol Pratt and family.- Mrs. Niel E. Howard and three children of Baldwin Park, Calif, just returned to their home after a ten day visit with parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. Pratt. Mr. and Mrs. Fera Little visited with Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Little Of Salt Lake and grandpa had the privilege of confirming granddaUr ghter, Joly Little a member of the LDS Church'. We also visited other relatives and friends. !';" Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Law attended at-tended the Executive Board meeting meet-ing in interest of. "Veterans of World War I", They also visited in Provo. Sept. is about half gone and a feeling of fall and frost In the air. Where has the summer gone? Mr. Ted Dennison brought his new wife out to meet us Sunday. We sincerely congratulate them and wish them many happy years together. Mrs. Fred Tolbert is home from the hospital with a sweet little baby girl they will name "Nena". Her three big brothers, Clay, Gay-len Gay-len and little Jason are ail happy to have a little sister. Dr. Keith Melville and John Melville Mel-ville and wife were here this week to see their mother, Mrs. Theodocia Meville Dana who is very ill in the West Millard Hospital. She had a fall two or three weeks ago and at her age, 87, she hasn't done too well. Her son, Reed of Bountiful Bounti-ful was here a few days ago. Keith lives in Provo and John in Boise, Ida. They are also visiting their sister, Mrs. Lois Maxfield. We were happy to have Almon Fullmer, Jr. and their new month old baby visit us Sunday. Their other two youngsters, Shannon and Teresa came to see their great- grandparents and that is what they call us. Lola and Walter Stoneking went a week ago Sunday to see Walter's mother, Mrs. Nettie Stoneking' in San Bernadino, Calif, also his sis ters and other relatives living there. It. was Walt's first trip back in 30 years. They also visited in Carlsbad, Carls-bad, Calif, where Walt's daughter, Lois and her husband run a motorcycle motor-cycle shop. Lois and husband took them to San Diego and around the coast to see the ships and to the Balboa Zoo. On their way home they called on their nephew, Harold Murray in Las Vegas. Harold is Hugh Murray's second son and has a parts shop in Las Vegas. The Stonekings were gone a week. Good luck to the new Chronicle owners and good luck to Inez and Bob. Hope they enjoy their changed chang-ed life. "A change is as good as a rest" they say. A week ago Phyllis Johnson went to Flowell to see her folks, the Melvin Robisons and to see the author, Mr. Paul Bailey (Chief Wal-kara). Wal-kara). Mrs. Bailey was Melvin's youngest sister. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Bennett of Holden visited the Garland Gar-land Johnsons Sunday. Frank Tennant and Richard Fullmer Full-mer are improving after their recent re-cent serious illness. We are happy to hear that Thorpe Waddingham is home and doing fine also. The farmers are really busy. Frost 'seems not too far away. J : ' i La .).. A A':; W i v MISS BERNADINE SCHENA Voir. Planned Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Schena of Hinckley, Utah wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, daugh-ter, Bernadine, to Lynn Julander. Lynn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Julander of Panguitch, Utah. Bernadine is a graduate of Delta High School and has attended Southern Utah State College. Lynn is a graduate of Panguitch High School and has also attended attend-ed SUSC. Wedding plans will he announced an-nounced later. To Speak Vows Miss Jean Roberts and Mr. Arlyn R. Crafts will exchange wedding vows Friday, Sept. 18, 1970 at the Desoret Stake Center. A reception will follow that same evening between be-tween the hours of 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. Parents of the engaged pair are Mr. and Mrs. Orlin S. R.oberts and Mrs. Fern Mast. i Both are graduates of DHS and they will be resuming studies at the University of Utah at Fall quarter. Nona Chesley has Just returned . Temple Rites Debra Ann Hopkins and Steven R. Jackson will exchange weddings vows September 18. 1970 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
