Show South Dcltci o VERDA LITTLE Visiting at the home of their mother, Mrs. Rose Webb and brother, broth-er, Clarence were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald King (Vera Webb) of Richmond, Rich-mond, West Virginia. This was their first trip home In 8 years. Their married daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Waller Merrill Martin and daughter came from Sunset and joined their folks for a longer visit and also to let Mrs. Rose Webb see and visit her newest great-granddaughter great-granddaughter Martin. They also visited at other relatives' homes in the area. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Webb had them all to a cook out and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Watson also had a dinner for them all while here. Veras' mother also attended the dinners. The Gerald Kings and the Martins left for Sunset Thursday, July 16 and they visited other relatives rela-tives in the Salt Lake area. Ward was received by Mrs. Rose Webb of the birth of another new great-granddaughter in Richmond, Va., born July 4, 1970 to Mr. and Mrs. Ronald L. Cowardin (Ellen Christine King). Ellen is the daughter dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald King also of Richmond. The new great-granddaughter great-granddaughter will be named Heather Christine Cowardin. Mrs. Hardy Keele visited with her sister-in-law, Enid Hopkins and family, also Maud Hopkins, over the 24th weekend. Mr. Daryl Taylor ond children were visitors at the Brog Hopkins home last week. All of the Hopkins families met at Lagoon where they participated in a very nice family reunion of the Brognard Weber Hopkins family fam-ily reunin. Mrs. Hopkins was Arietta Ariet-ta Ann Carter. There were 65 in attendance. Shaunna Robinett and girl friend Joleen visited two nights with Shaunna's grandparents, the Red Sperrys. They all attended the rodeo at Hinckley. Fifty-six descendents of the late Jim Steele and Mrs. Mina Steele (who was in attendance) met in Oak City Canyon for a family reunion. re-union. Everyone had a great time. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Billings attended at-tended the wedding reception of grandson, Blaine Billings and Lana Jensen. Blaine is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard K. Billings. On the 12th of July Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Billings attended the 50th wedding reception of cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Earl S. Paul, South Ogden. The Billings also visited in Morgan with cousins, Jack Olsen and Miss Norma Criddle, Mr. George Billings, Mr. and Mrs. Bryce G. Billings and four children, Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Fenton W. Billings and three children of Springville, Mr. and Mrs. Terah L. Billings and two children chil-dren of Mill Hollow Basin.Uintah Mts., Mr. and Mrs. Brad Odell and daughter, Charlotte of Logan, grand son, Mr. and Mrs. Morris W. Carter Car-ter and two children, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Carter of Las Vegas. ' Attending the "Old Timers" rail road party at Lagoon were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Price. They report a large crowd in attendance. Luckily the heavy rain which drenched Salt Lake that evening did miss Lagoon. Mrs. Verda Little accompanied accom-panied the Price's to Salt Lake where she visited with sister, Fairis Johnson that evening making a very enjoyable evening for all. Visiting with Mrs. Jean Johnson ; were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce (Heather) Stephenson of Holden. Mr. Stephenson Stephen-son is a brother to Mrs. Johnson. J Mr. and Mrs. Morris Parker (Betty i Bunker) and six children of Mesa, Ariz, visited with Betty's parents, the William Bunkers. While the Parkers were here they were joined by Mrs. Boyd Beagley and five children chil-dren of Orem, Mrs. Vero Paxman and Sheron, Mrs. Thora Petersen of Hinckley and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Talbot Tal-bot of Sugarville. The Wm. Bunkers enjoy having their children and families visit them. Mr. and Mrs. William Bunker visit ed La Wanna Beagley in Provo. Mr. George Jackson of Salt Lake came to visit his mother, who is in the Extended Care Facility. Mrs. Wells Kenny of Holden visited visit-ed her mother Mrs. Jackson, relatives rela-tives and friends the past weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sagers visited with Mr. and Mrs. Mario Sagers of Orem. Furth is the city near Nuernberg. j Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rice went to Springville with the Floyd Hardy family. While there they attended the Hardy reunion. Returning to their Provo home Tuesday after a weekend in Delta were Mrs. Fraser Buck and 2 small daughters. Mrs. Buck came especially espe-cially to attend the 1965 Class Reunion Re-union ond to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Riding. Sam and Kathy Sledge are now making their home in Provo after residing the past year in Los Angeles, An-geles, Calif, reports her parents, Mr .and Mrs. Tom McCormick. Mr. and Mrs. McCormick recently visited visit-ed in Matairie, La. with their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mc Cormick. Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Riding for a week were Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Christensen of Los Angeles, Calif. The two couples spent a few days at Fish Lake during the week. North Delta . . . Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Gasswint of Wellington, Kansas visited recently at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Robert Fields in Delta. Mrs. Gasswint Gass-wint and the Rev. are brother and sister. j Mr. and Mrs. June Black took his sister, Golda Lewis back to hen home in Salt Lake after a nice visit I with the Blacks. They stopped in ' Orem and attended church where' the Ladd Black family gave the' program Sunday afternoon. In the ' meeting Ladd Black was also sus-! tained as Superintendent of the MIA in his ward in Orem. Mr. and Mrs. June Black attended ! the Black family reunion last Sat-J urday in Salt Lake. The three children, Doug, Robin i and Celia are staying in Delta with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. j June Black while their mother, Mrs. Douglas Robison is at Girls Camp with her three other daughters. We are all sorry to hear of the illness and hospitalization of Mr. i Fred Clayton. We all wish him a ' very speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Linden Olson (par-1 ents of Mr. David Olson) and fouri childrn, Blaine, Dale, Myrna and j Wendella, all of Midvale spent the j 24th and 25th holiday in Delta visiting. They h?d a picnic and swimming party at the reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brown and Dr. and Mrs. M. A. Lyman spent Thursday Thurs-day in Salt Lake attending the pageant, "Promised Valley", the visitors center and Temple Square and many things of interest. Mrs. Marilyn Stoddard drove to Salt Lake Saturday to attend the funeral of her cousin, Mrs. Josephine Jose-phine Wells of Lyman. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sorenson drove to the Rocky Ford Dam or Miners-vile Miners-vile Lake Sulnday and into Bea er to visit with Nell's cousin, Thell Riley. Mr. ?rd Mrs. Wm. S. Bassett attended at-tended the funeral services in American Fork Saturday for Mrs. Pearl Bassett Logie. Mrs. Logie was a sister to the late Wm. H. Bassett and the last member of the original family. Mr. Jackson is a 1966 graduate of Delta High and has filled an LDS mission in the Central At-antic At-antic States. He is a student at SUSC. The couple is planning an Aug. 28th wedding in the St. George LDS Temple. A reception in their honor will he held at Tropic. Also openhouse will be held Sept. 4th at the Delta First Ward. Both are planning to continue their studies at Southern Utahi State College in the Fall. The girls other grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Black of Texas met them in Salt Lake last weekend and returned with them to Colorado. They are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. David Seegmiller of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. It was a real fun experience and good vacation for the two girls this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Robison spent two days in Salt Lake last week visiting with their parents, Mr.and Mrs. Norman Gardner. Norman Nor-man is still hospitalized in the LDS Hospital but is improving slowly slow-ly now. Miss Linda Kay Cahoon of Provo visited for several days in Delta last week with her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Val Christopherson and with her grandfather, Mr. Marion Kill-pack. Kill-pack. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Black of Orem and Mr .and Mrs. Shirl Black and two daughters of Taylorsville spent the weekend in Delta with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doc Black. Mr and Mrs. Edwin Miller spent the week in Beaver Canyon fishing and relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery, cool air and their new trailer house. A family party was held in Provo Geneva Park Sunday. Attending At-tending from Delta were Mr. and Mrs. John Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Peterson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Peterson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Turner o Phoenix, Ariz., Mr. and Mrs. Morris Mor-ris Smith and family, St. Louis; Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. Polland, and family, Fullerton, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Lenord Anderson, Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Boag, Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Brenson and family, Pleasant Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Arland Peterson and family, Pleasant Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Turner are on vacation on their way to Canada. They met the family there for picnic and visiting. Mrs. Jennie Largent and Mrs. Bonnie Ivie returned home Sunday from Salt Lake. They brot Kathy hie 13 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Ivie home with them. Kathy has been in Salt Lake in the Primary Childrens Hospital for the past five days where she Rules for the Art I Exhibit at the Millard County Fair 1. All pictures should be framed and have hanging wires. 2. There can be two pictures or craft entries per person. 3. Do not enter picture copies, paint by number, or pictures previously pre-viously exhibited. 4. Pictures must be delivered to the place of exhibit, the Deseret Fair grounds on Wednesday, Aug. 12, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. 5. Pictures can be picked up Saturday Sat-urday Aug. 15 after 8:00 p.m. or on Sunday Aug. 16 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. 6. The junior division includes all students of elementary or high school level.
