Here to attend the Baptismal services for Margaret Gillen last Saturday were Jack and Debra Anderson of Provo; John and Colleen Col-leen Dastrup of Fillmore; Mr. and Mrs. Clead Lovell of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs, RayLovell of Oak City. Glad to report he's doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skidmore of Brigham City visited at the Clark B:.shoo home almost two weeks ago. They came Tuesday and left for home Thursday. It was good to see them. Our community is saddened and we still are in a state of schock at the news of the so sudden death of our friend and neighbor, Clarence Anderson. Our love and sympathy go to his good wife, Leona and his sons, Robert, Jack, Dennis and Raymond and his little daughter, Christine and new daughter, daugh-ter, Debra. And to his aged mother, Jensene who has been such a stalwart stal-wart in our midst for so long. To his brothers and sisters, too we extend ex-tend our love and sympathy. Supt. for years and he will b" missed there Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Kelly and MILLARD COUNTY CHRONICLE- Golden Eagle Passport Approved "National Forest Recreation Usei Permits are now valid at all Federal Fed-eral recreation sites," announced Intermountain Regional Forester Vern Hamre. "Congress approved Golden Eagle Passport legislation this week. Each Federal agency will honor season permits issued by the Forest For-est Service, Park Service and other government agencies involved in outdoor recreation programs," said Mr. Hamre. The annual user permits have been sold at Forest Service headquarters head-quarters since May 25, 1970, for $7. These permits are valid through December 31, 1970. "It is very timely that a national recreation permit should again be valid in all Federal recreation sites-especially sites-especially with the expected heavy recreation use on the upcoming Fourth of July weekend," said Regional Re-gional Forester Hamre. David C. and Linda Nickle Ekins are the proud parents of a new baby girl born July 2, 1970 at Payson City Hospital. The wee miss weighed in at 8 lbs. and 9 oz. and is another grandchild for Mr. and Mrs. George C. Ekins of Hinckley and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Nickle, Delta. She will be named Natalie Kaye Ekins. family of Riverton spent the week end with parents, Oscar and Inez Kelly. Ladd and his mother spent Friday at Mineisville fishing. Mrs. Margaret Sumson and family of Spanish Fork are spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stanworth. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Skeem spent Thursday and Friday at Minersville fishing. Arlo Skeem and sons, Chris and Ken spent a couple of days fishing, also. Mr. and Mrs. Deon Gillen and daughter, Opal were in Provo July 4th to see the parade. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Anderson and son of Dugway visited their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Anderson Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Skeem left Friday for Panguitch Lake where they met Mr. and Mrs. Berdett Webster Web-ster of Cedar and Betty (Johnson, used to be) and her husband, Howard How-ard and some of their friends from California. Mrs. Cassie Johnson of Salt Lake joined the group Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Willoughby and son, Chris are spending a week in Calif, visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Skeem went to Spanish Fork last Tuesday. Their children, Gary and Evelyn Webb and their family accompanied them on to Salt Lake where the children enjoyed a visit to the Zoo and Pioneer Village. They drove on to Lagoon where they spent the rest of the day. They returned home that evening, tired but happy. Maurine Westly and daughter, Carolyn, visited and had dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Skeem last" Monday. Celso and Kathy Lobo are visiting visit-ing with their grandfather, Leslie Webb and the Loren Rowley family in Oasis and other relatives in the vicinity. Steven and Colleen Rowley and son, Greg of Richfield visited with the Rowley and Farnsworth families fam-ilies over the weekend. Scott Rowley spent Juliy 3rd and 4th in Manti visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Farris and Micky visited with Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Skeem. They weent on to Ely, Nev. to visit friends there. Micky stayed to visiti in Hinckley with Mr. andd Mrs. Gerald Skeem. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Olsen of Tooele visited their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Skeem. Mrs. Randall Whiting of Ogden is here to be with Leona Anderson and her family at this sad time. Robert and Dennis Anderson were in Salt Lake Sunday evening to meet their uncle, Glen Whiting, who arrived from New York. Glen and Leona haven't seen each other for some five years. Mr. and Mrs. David Stanworth and family of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Pearson of Ogden visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Staworth and family over the holiday weekend. Missi Sherry Price of Parowan, a friend of Rex, was a guest at the Duane Stanworth home, also. Mrs. Hattie Funk has been visiting visit-ing her daughter, Ethel Stanworth the past week while her daughter, and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Christenson of Payson with whom Mrs. Funk is staying, went on a little trip to Califoria. A bit of news that escaped me a while back was interesting to me and I thought it may be to you readers. Rex Stanworth and Chris Skeem attended a 4-H Convention Con-vention about June 17 at Snow-College. Snow-College. It lasted three days and the boys found it very profitable in the'r work with the 4-H program. Rex was elected as one of the eight member State Planning Committee Com-mittee for the 4-H. Chris was his campaign manager and Judy Skeem made some very effective advertising adver-tising placards, etc. So we are proud of the efforts of these young people. Glad we can claim them as our town folk.
