The Headstart class of the school have had a lot of projects going and have taken several trips. They visited Walker's shoe shop where they were shown the material they use to mend the shoes, pieces cf leather, tools, laces, etc These were made into a collage on a big shoe shaped background. They also visited Wrights' welding shop. Mr. Wright's daughter is a member of the class. At the school the classes had a Lincoln's Day Parade. The little classes formed a cavalry, riding their stick horses and holding flags they'd made. Others rode tricycles. For Valentine's Day the Head Start class made a post office and brought their Valentines to mail and deliver. Garrison News BLANCHE RICHARDSON Wednesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dial (Bonnie) Powell and four children of Granger Grang-er and Ray Lovell's six children spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Deon Gillen. The church house is still undergoing under-going spring house cleaning. Some more painting will be done this week. We are proud of Judy Skeem who was chosen a candidate for Girls State from our town. Even though she wasn't chosen as a Girl Stater Sunday she was honored to be a candidate. Clark and LaVeda Bishop expect them this week. Sunday word went to Fred Williams Wil-liams in Vietnam of the arrival of a new son to him and his wife, Ver-leen Ver-leen Carpenter Williams. The new baby was born at West Millard Hospital and weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. The new one has an older brother. Blaine and Harriet Spendlove and two girls Elaine and Mary of Kaysville; also Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Spendlove and children of Ogden happy birthday neighbor. To be continued next week. Isaacs left Feb. 8th to attend the annual convention f electric cooperatives held In Las Vegas on 9th, 10th and 11th of that week. Wyane Gonder is president presi-dent of the Mt. Wheeler Power. They report a very enjoyable time while there. Pete Kaufman of Lehman Caves, Baker, Nev., was admitted to the Wm. Bee Ririe Hospital of Ely, Nev. on Sunday evening. He underwent surgery Monday morning. He got along very nicely and is now at home convalescing. One of our valley boys, Owen Gonder who is attending USU at Logan was on the honor roll. Congratulations Con-gratulations Owen, keep up the good work. The Primary officers and teachers teach-ers went on their Penny Parade Tuesday Feb. 10, and they report a good response to this worthy cause. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Gonder and children went to Delta Tuesday Tues-day to keep dentist appointments. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wheeler were in Beaver Tuesday. Chester attended the final session of the agricultural classes held there the past month. Mr. and Mrs. Chub Richardson of Lehman Caves were Cedar visitors visit-ors on Wednesday. The past five days Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gonder have been having a bout with the flu bug. Mollie has been quite sick with it. Heddie Kaufman was taken to the hospial with the fid. Mr. Lee Whitlock was a business visitor in Delta on Wednesday. Mrs. Linda Eames and daughter, Patrece, returned Wednesday afternoon after-noon from a visit with her family and friends in Syracuse, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. John Osborne were in Ely Monday to visit his mother Clara Callico who is a patient In the Ely Hospital. Mrs. LaRue Rowley was accompanied accom-panied to Delta Thursday by Barbara Bar-bara Rowley and two small daughters, daugh-ters, Lynnette and Franchesca. Mrs. Barbara Whitson of Lehman Caves held a party for her son, Mark, Friday evening for all of the school children. A good time rollw skating was had by all.
