Show Lynn-Learn Hews Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins spent tho 24th in Salt Lake with children, Ray and Mary Wilkins and children and Linda and Dan Sutto'i. Linda came home with them for a few days. Enla and Junior Baird and children of Richfield left their childlren here while they went to Texas for a vacation.. The Lynndyl Homecoming was well enjoyed by the large crowd attending. Tammy Nielson held the lucky number and won the beautiful star quilt. Visiting Lucille Nielson were her children, Karen and Tony Mark, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Ivie J. Nielson and children, all of Salt Lake. Also Lucille's sister, sis-ter, Elvada Johnson and son and 3 grandchildren of Newhall, Calif. Eussell and Cindy Greathouse have moved into the home of Alma Banks. Lucille Johnson visited her mother, moth-er, Mrs. Frank Cason in Cedar. Dean Eatuogh was relesaed from the WM Hospital and is able to get around on crutches. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thompson and Mrs. Jean Ashby of Springville attended at-tended Homecoming and visited Alpha Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bradfield and "boys of Granstville, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hughes and son of Salt Lake spent Saturday here. Clinton Roper and family of Springville attended Homecoming. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Nielson spent the weekend with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson. Joe and Emma Jean Evertson and children of Minneapolis, ,MH. are visiting their mother, Alpha iNielson this week. Nona Sherriff and family are visiting her mother, Hazel Sheriff. Mrs. Howard Nielson had a surprise sur-prise visit from her brother, John Trotter of Calif. They picked up their daughter, Ginger, who has been here since school let out. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Kelsey and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kelsey visited sis ter, Mr. and Mrs. Oxol Johnson. Mr .and Mrs. David Hanson and baby daughter, Trudy of Logan visited parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bur ton Hanson. Mr. and Mrs. Reese lohnson and Mr. and Mrs. Kay Stone and children chil-dren of Provo are home with moth' er Mrs. Elaine Johnson, helping get the crops in. Austin Willden of Salt Lake vis- ited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bud McCann. He had been to Beaver Bea-ver to see his father who is very ill, Mrs. Walker Finlinson's father, Ruben W. Jones died last week in Milford. He lived in Milford until just a few years ago, then he moved to Oregon. He returned to Milford about a month ago. Our sympathy goes to Rosabell and family at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Dutson and children accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson to Fillmore to help son, Merrill celebrate his birthday. Neil and Ilene Finlinson of Las Vegas have been to Salt Lake, Leamington and Milford recently. OASIS RUBY SKEEM Well, this week was a week that will go down in history. Visiting our ward were Mrs. Ray Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Owens and John, ,Mr. LaVar Owens and daughters, Varla and Janette, Elaine Knight, Mr. and Mrs. Eldro Jeffery. Mrs. Clinton Memmott visited with her sister, Ella Christensen. They attended the Bishop Family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Webb had an accident on their way down to get Cindy and Jody as they had spent a week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Skeem. The accident ac-cident occurred between Nephi and Leamington. They hit a cow. Fortunately For-tunately no one was hurt but their car received a lot of damage. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Coplin came from Calif, and visited with Nella's folks, Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler. They went on to Ft. Mrs. Robert Kent spent a week with her daughter, Eathel Skeem. Friday, Mr. Kent and Mrs. Arvilla Barney, Eathel's aunt, came for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Greene and baby of Smithfield visited their mother, Lois Greene. Jerry Lursen of Carson City visited visit-ed his grandmother, Tressa Jenson and uncle Rex Jenson. He has been on a mission and is now a semi-ary semi-ary teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Shurtz and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Shurtz and families fam-ilies went fishing to Strawberry and Scofield over the 24, with Kent Shurtz and family of Jalt Lake. Ireta and Elden took Kay Lynn to Springville and put her on the chartered bus to go to the Easter Seal Camp at Grand Mesa, Colo, for a 2 week's vacation with other Handicapped children. Theer will 'be over 200 boys and girls from ages 8 to 18 at this wonderful camp. Nancy Richardson of Longbeach, Calif, is visiting her dear friend, Marjorie and Dick Clark for awhile. WITH , People Art Division of Fair to Be Held The following informaiton is being be-ing announced by Glen W. Seeg-miller, Seeg-miller, chairman of the Art Committee Com-mittee of tho Millard County Fair. Although no fair is being held this year, the art division will be held as usual. All artists in the county are urged to participate with their art work in paints and crafts projects. The art show will be held at the Oasis Ward Hall. A junior division will continue this year, Mr. Seegmiller says, and student work will be judged sep-erately. sep-erately. Persons interested In entering any category are urged to save the followins rules: 1. Fine art and crafts articles may be entered by any resident of the county. 2. Because of space limitations, no more than two pictures and two craft articles may be entered by any one person. 3. Pictures are to be original, not copies of other pictures or paint-by-number pictures. 4. All paintings must be equipped with hanging wires securely attached. at-tached. 5. All paintings are eligible 7 J - :s - 'Mzh Copper Division which have not been previously shown. 6. Display space is limited as are hanging facilities. Any easels that may be loaned for thee xhibit will be appreciated. 7. Items for display will be received re-ceived at the Oasis Ward hall, Wednesday, Aug. 6, between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. Nothing will be shown which is not received re-ceived at this time. 9. Judging will be Thursday, Aug. 7 and the exhibit will be closed to the public. Competitors will not be allowed in the exhibit during the judging. 10. The exhibit will be open to the public Friday, Aug. 8 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. 11. Exhibitors should pick up all articles Saturday between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. These should be checked check-ed out with the attendant. 12.
