Jim Talbot and friends, Lorraine , Shumway and Shcrril Cottrell, came j up from school at Cedar for the weekend and visited at the home of Go'.da Talbot. - I Mrs. Janeve Chapman returned last week from a six-week stay In Alaska. She spent four weeks at. the home of Dick and Jane Huntsman, Hunts-man, who took her up there after they visited here. Jane is the daughter dau-ghter of Ted and Edith Dennison. 1 They live at Fairbanks. She then spent the remaining two weeks of her trip in Anchorage at the home , cf Mr. and Mrs. Evan Swensen. Evan is a nephew of L.R. Swensen and lived here years ago. Janeve said that she w-?s very impressed with the friendliness of all the( Alaskan people-they are all veryi congeniel. The country there is very beautiful. There are many forests and in the midst of these big forest one will see a small clearing where a home is built and i people live. It is quite different from anything we see here, she says. Her trip was a very wonderful wonder-ful experience and especially taking tak-ing her first plane ride to fly back home. Mrs. Clara Stewart's granddaughter, granddau-ghter, Peggy Abbott visited with her this week. Our entire area was grieved at 'he death of Wally Church this week.
