Anderson, loft Fridav for a tour of Hawaii, and will bo gone until next Mon- First Ward Hews JUDY ANN STONEKING Visiting over the weekend with Mrs. Madge Christensen were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jordison and three children and Carol Ann Pratt all of Salt Lake. Last Monday Mrs. Fay Walker and son, Gaylen, drove to Baker,, Nevada for the funeral of Robert Olsen, who was an uncle of Mrs. Walker. Mr. Olsen lived a number of years in Delt a. He recently made his homo in Tooele with his son. Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Leif Alldredgo and family of Salt Lake visited in Delta with Mr. and Mrs. Fay Walker and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Jeffery left Monday for Oklahoma City where they will vacation for a week and also attend to some business. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Horlacher and family of St. George visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Kennard Riding and also attended the Dixie-Delta football game. Visiting over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. James L. Nickle were Julio and Wayne Brush of Salt Lake. Visiting a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hawley is their daughter, daugh-ter, Linda Sue Stewart and two boys of Las Vegas. day. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Finlinson were at Spanish Fork Friday to have a checkup with her doctor. Miss Cynthia Roper had her tonsils ton-sils out during the week. Best wishes to you, 'ymhla. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Anderson were Provo visitors Friday. Mr. nnd Mrs. Fred Anderson sold their home during the week to Mr. and Mrs. Kent Dewsnup. Fred and and Margene will be moving to Delta. I Mr. Lenox Finlinson visited over, the weekend with friends and relatives. rela-tives. I Mrs. Richard Persons of Kama.? visited over the weekend with her folks. Judy Finlinson and Rose, Mary Tippetts were also here from Blanding visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwaine Finlinson. Mr. Karl Finlinson, Judy and Rose Mary were speakers at Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting Sunday night. The Officers and Teachers of the MIA entertained the youth of the ward nnd their parents at a turkey banquet in the cultural hall Saturday Satur-day night. Bishop Dean Anderson was in charge. The awards were presented to the girls and boys by members of the Bishopric and their leaders. Mrs. Ina Nielson received her seventh year medallion awrd, Lamira Dutson received her ninth' year leader award and Ava Anderson Ander-son and Macel Anderson their eighth year awards. A lovely program was presented with the older girls singing accompanied ac-companied by Carol Ava Anderson THIRD WARD AREA NEWS IEA WILLDEN The little town has been a busy place over the weekend. and a cornet duet by Jon and Joy Finlinson accompanied by their mother, Edith A. Finlinson. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Tippetts were the Stake representatives and both gave talks. It was all very lovely. Mr. Fred Anderson was released as Explorer leader and Mr. Leo Holl-ingshead Holl-ingshead was sustained. Fred has done a very good job in the MIA and all the boys love and honor him for his work with them. Mr. Craig Nielson has taken to crutches lately having sprained his ankle. Mr. and Mrs. Burnts Finlinson were in Provo on business Saturday Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Walker attended at-tended the Jolly Stitchers Party Et the Woodrow Hall Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson returned re-turned home after a few days visit in West Jordan with Mr. and Mrs. Lee Shipley and family. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Sorenson of Delta visited Sunday with their mother, Mrs. Ida Finlinson and attended at-tended Sacrament meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Junius Anderson had their family visiting Saturday and Sunday, Kevin of Pnpvo and Mr. and Mrs. Steven (Ellen) Allred of Logan. The ballgames were both very exciting. We're proud of our team. The funeral for Wally Church brought many people to Delta. Our sympathy goes to all the family.) Wally's passing leaves a void in many lives. Home to attend the funeral were' Mrs. Deona Black and son, John, of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Church and family of Canoga Park, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Church and daughters, Janice, Michelle and Lee Ann of St. Anthony, Idaho, Mr. and Mrs. John Church and son, Mrs. Charlotte Bradshaw, son and dau-ghte dau-ghte of Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Na than Cooper and daughter of Pan-gultch. With the Lathel Callisters were their children, Mrs. Martin (Wls-tensen (Wls-tensen (Katlirine) and five ch'l- den of New York, Dr. and Mrs. Shel-j den Canister, Mr. ana Mrs. Kobert Callister of Ot;don, Raymond, Jerry, Neuman and Neil of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dynee and family of Panguitch. Mrs. Lathel Callister, Kent and Kathy went to Salt Lake Monday to check on a job for Kent. Stewart and LaRay Lee stopped in Delta Thursday for a few min ute's visit. They were on their way home to Ogden after a trip to Schurz, Nevada where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Nyol Lee and family. Carl Willden, Daryl Ross and Miss Pete Magee of CSU at Cedar spent the weekend in Delta. Also home from CSU was Miss Sharlda Allen visiting her mother and brother, Paul. Many were here to attend the game in Fillmore. Mr. All Willden came home from Carp, Nev. Friday. Going to Carp Monday for a month's stay were Mr. Darrell Willden, Jay Stone and P.W. Watts. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Carter and (Tills are in Delta visiting. Bonnie Is also keeping a dentist appointment. appoint-ment. There seems to be a flu bug loose. Several of our family have been ailing. Mr. Arland Peterson and sons, Brent and Randy of Pleasant Grove and Kenneth Peterson of Salt Lake were down for the pheasant hunt.
