Show "Millard County Chronicle Thursday, March 21, 1968 Hinckley - - - ELAINE HARDY The MIA's operetta "All in Favor," presented this week was troroughly enjoyed by all who saw-it, saw-it, Tuesday evening it was given in Hinckley, followed by a bake sale. Wednesday evening, the cast gave another performance in Des-eret Des-eret for Deseret and Oasis wards to see. Arthur Reeve came down from Salt Lake to visit and do some work on his yard and the Post Office yard. Art says his niece, Becky is still making progress and is now walking a little with braces. She is very encouraged in her efforts ef-forts to be able to walk again, unaided and we wish her a lot of success in her efforts. Saturday, Art went to Fillmore to spend a few days with his son, Tom and Alda and Geneil. Mrs. Angie Cahoon has had her daughter, Amelia Jane Cole and husband and family here to visit with her a few days from Bountiful. Bounti-ful. Mrs. Beth Anderson is now home after spending a couple of weeks in Salt Lake at the University of Utah Medical Center in the Arthritis Arthri-tis Ward, for tests and treatments. Eeed Stewart and boys of Magna have spent the past week with his mother, Mrs. Clara Stewart. Verleen Carpenter was the honor ed guest at a bridal shower, given by Sharon Bishop at her home. Diane Larsen was eo-hostess. A large number of friends attended. Waller Manis Is attending school two nights a week In Provo. Alice and David Hofheins of Portland, Port-land, Ore. are at the home of Alma Western. Mrs. LaFay Corey entertained the Literary Club Wednesday eve-Alta eve-Alta Warnick reviewed "Gift of the Deer", by Helen Hoover. Mrs. Betty Jane Morris was in Salt Lake a day last week. Eugene Morris and children, Lee Ruthanna and Mary Kae, attended a MEA banquet in Fillmore last Thursday evening. Mrs. Jeinne Taylor has been in West Millard Hospital with a painful pain-ful back ailment, Her sister, Mrs. Patsy Holdon of Pay son has been here taking care of the family. Congratulations to our Hinckley Jr. M-Men basketball team and their coach, Harold Hepworth, in winning first place in the tournament tourna-ment held last week. Extra special congratulations to one of our team's players, Dee Greener, who was selected as the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. Dee is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Greener. A beautiful trophy was awarded to the team. Mrs. Alda Reeve of Fillmore visited this week with her mother Mrs. Lydia Ekins, and sister, Mrs. Erma Cropper. Russell Talbot, son of the Cluff Talbots, attending BYU, suffered a broken leg this week in a Phys. Ed. class. He will have his leg in a cast for about four weeks. Mrs. Gertha Bishop received word that her son, Garn, had been sent from Viet Nam to a hospital in Denver, Colo., where he is to be treated for some trouble he has been having with his back and leg. Gertha left Thursday morning to go to Denver to be with Garn. Mrs. Beatrice Tippetts went to Omaha, Neb. last week to help care for her daughter and new, grandson. Shene and Dave M. Beatrice visited a clay in Spanish Fork with her son, Jim and family, on her trip. George and Bertha Barton visited on the weekend with relatives and friends. The Sheldon Western family drove to Parowan Sunday to visit with Sharon's grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rose. Then they went on to St. George to see Mr. and Mrs. Bert Laney, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cox and Sharon's mother, Lieuwen Shumway. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Shumway and family drove to Zion's Canyon and other points of interest Sunday. At the George Ekins home last weekend was their daughter and husband, Margaret and Frank Wilde and daughter, Lisa, of Salt Lake and also David of BYU. Allen and Lillian Keller drove up from St. George last weekend. With them were Mr. Leonard Wood Dana Bishop's father, and Mrs. Clark of Ogden, workers at the St. George Temple. They visited tt the Verdell Bishop home. The Dale Bishop family are now living in their new home. Fred Williams arrived home Mon day on leave from the service.
