Price drove over Friday afternoon and brought Jimmy, Cathy and Barbara Dutson home after they had spent the past week with them. Mrs. Beryl Hardy entertained the Rook Club at her home Wednesday evening. Eleven members and the following guests enjoyed supper supper and cards: Lyla Rae Morris, Mavis Hardy, Chris Cropper, Arvila Workman, ElaineHardy. Prizes won: 1st, Arvilla Swensen; 2nd Nina; low Arvilla Workman; Guest, Mavis; grand slam, Thora and Clara. Ruth and Cluff Talbot and Marcia went to Salt Lake ihis week and visited with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Evans. Mrs. Lyla Rae Morris and two girls accompanied them. Dale and Marlene Bliss spent several days in Salt Lake this week. Girls from Hinckley who went to Gooseberry Girl's camp Monday were Raelene Brown, DeAnn Hilton, Barbara Bliss, Patti Palmer, Mary Shannon Steele, Kay Stevens, Linda Gnlli, Dottie Damron. Lillian and Ren Taylor attended funeral services in Lehi Saturday for Mrs. Herron. DeAnn and David Hilton of Las Vegas, children of Dean and Cheryl Hilton, formerly of Hinckley, arriv ed bv train Sunday and will spend their vacation with Raelene and Donald Brown., their cousins. Mrs. Beth Brown was hostess to her Bridge Club Thursday night. Those attending were Donna Cox, LaRae Peterson, Dorothy Damron, Patty Dalton, Toby Humphries, Na Rae Petersen, Ruth Talbot, Beulah Bassett, Dorothy Killpack, Joan Bird Marilyn Bishop and Maxine Waller. Prizes were won by Marilyn Bishop, Beulah Bassett and Donna Cox. A visitor to Hinckley and church services Sunday was Mr. Moffett of Scot tsd ale, Arizona, formerly of Calif. He is the son of Ida Parker who used to live here. It has been many years since he had been here. He has been a bishop and stake presidency member. Hon and Erma Cropper and Barbara Bar-bara and Patty Roundy went to ProvoThursday an visited with Mrs. Mary Ellen Evans and family at Lehi. Gordon Bishop visited with his brother, Clayton, who has been here from up north this week. Dana Pratt stopped and visited with Sebrina and George Ekins and Fannie Lee Hilton Sunday. He was on his way to Provo to summer school. Mrs. Fannie Lee Hilton had her son, Lawrence, and family of Salt Lake and son, Harlan, and family of Orem here to visit with her recently. Mr. and Mrs. Bill LaFevre and daughter, Mary, of Ely, Nevada visited Mrs. LaFevre's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Spencer, in the middle of the week. Donald Petersen went to Bountiful Bounti-ful Sunday to attend the meeting at which a missionary companion of his gave his mission report. He and Donald were companions for six and a half months on the Isle of Man in Britain. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Petersen went to Salt Lake Monday morning. morn-ing. Thora is to hive a medical checkup. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Western were in Salt Lake Friday. Ted Spendlove, son of the Blaine Spendloves of Kaysville, visited this week with his cousin, Mel Wright. The Karl Workmans spent last Sunday at Tooele with their children, child-ren, the Jack Davises and the Jack Holstens. At Sacrament meeting there, Karl confirmed Jackie Davis a member of the church. They also visited Kail's sister, Louise Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, and Jack's father, Fred Davis, Da-vis, while at Tooele. They brought their grandson, Gregory, home to spend the week. Lawanna drove down Friday evening to take him back home Saturday morning. Kim and Sandra Taylor, children of Forrest and Helen Taylor of Las Vegas, have been visiting some of their friends here the past week. They are staying with their grand parents Christensen in Oasis. Kim has stayed with his cousins, the boys of Jim and lone Christensen and Sandra has been with the children of Anna Lou and Lyle Stanworth. Hon and Erma have had two of their grandchildren staying with them for a few days, Barbara and Patty Roundy, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Roundy of Oasis. Sympathy is sent to Mark Herron and family in the passing of his mother. Funeral services were held in Lehi Saturday. Sandra and Wayne Way-ne Virgin of Hawthorne, Calif., were here for the services. Sandra Is a daughter of the Mark Herrons. Mark's brother, Frances Herron of Key West, Florida, attended the services and will spend a few days with Mark and his wife here. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Evans (Carma Wright) and their family of Dillon, Mont., spent from Saturday until Wednesday with Carma's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Wright. Dean has had major surgery on his back recently and Is recovering very well. Mrs. Arvilla Swensen took Harold Hepwcrth to Spanish Fork this week to have some treatments on his back. The baby boy of Caroyln and Clyde Stevens was blessed in Sacra ment meeting Sunday and given the name of Russell Myron by his father. Kenny Searle and his wife and two little boys of Ogden spent Sun day visiting with Carl and Enid Damron. Mrs. Enid Damron took hor son, Paul, his wife, Kathleen and their two boys to Salt Lake where they are going to settle and Paul will teach In that area next year. Paul and his family have just returned firom Samoa where he taught for two years. When Enid returned home she brought her niece, Linda George, back with her. Linda is also al-so visiting with the Waldo Warnick family. At the Wesley Morris home Sun day was Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gardner and their four children of Ogden. Rodney and Winnie Wright attended at-tended funeral sevices for Mark Herron's mother in Lehi Saturday. A surprise party in honor of Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Skeem was held Thursday evening, June 8th. Those who attended and brought pot-luck pot-luck supper were: Mr. and Mrs. Skeem and Mickey, Mayor and Mrs. Ray Brown, Mi. and Mrs. Eugene Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Parry Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Kenenth Adans and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dutson. Darrel and Alice Gaye Scow of Logan visited with their parents. After spending a week here with their parents, the Nels Petersen family have returned to their home in Arizona. While here, they had their son, Lowell baptized. I Cleo Damron of Rocklin, Calif., j was here to see his relatives, the Ken Damron, and Carl Damron fam Hies and others in the area. Mrs. Clanrisa C. Blake has return ed to live with hre children after having spent the last three weeks at her home here. Mrs. Cheryl Blake and family of Brigham City came to take Clarrisa up north. Cheryl's and Delia's daughters had been here a week and all returned to their homes Sunday. I Friends in Hinckley will be happy to know of the arrival at the Darrel Allred home in Salt Lake, a baby boy born on June 6th and weighing 8 lbs. This makes two boys for them and three girls. Congratulations Congratula-tions to all. L. R. Swensen, Jim Christensen and Lars Bishop have been working down at the Experimental Station west of Milford the past week and will be working there this week also. i The Howard Hardy family went to Spanish Fork Saturday of last week to see Howard's folks, Bessie and Willard Hardy. Mrs. Rachel Knight Spor of Kearns visited with Mrs. Clara Stewart Wednesday of last week. Rachel is the daughter of Sammy and Mattie Knight and a sister of Newell Knight of Delta, all of whom used to live in Hinckley. Grant Hardy and Jim Petersen went to Salt Lake Saturday. Lonnie Mccris "id Cherte Morris took a group of Cub Scouts to the Terrell Meat Packing Co. this week, to see the workings of the plant. Scouts who went were Kevin Morris Ricky Christensen, Scott Stanworth, Mike and Paul Palmer. Ellis Petersen Peter-sen and Casey Morris. Mr. Terrell showed the boys all the processes of the meat preparation and processing pro-cessing and gave them a sample of the jerky that they make. The boys thought it was very interest ing and they enjoyed the tour very much. After, they enjoyed a treat downtown. This group of Scouts is led by Mrs. Carol Bishop. Regular ball practices have begun in Hinckley the past few days. Mrs. Ev Greener is still in Calif. I reported previously that she had returned home. At the Kail Workman home recently re-cently have been Arvillu's brother, Jeston Jacobson and family of Pro vo; also Mrs. Frank Robison of Mur ray. Friday Mrs. Delnia Jean Galli brought home Phyllis Galli who was released from the St. Mark's Hospital where she has had surgery. sur-gery. Lars Bishop has been here for the past two weeks working with L.R. Swensen and staying with his parents, par-ents, the Heber Bishops. Mrs. Mary Ellen Evans and dau ghter, Amy, came Monday to spend two weeks with her parents, the Hon Croppers. Her husband is at Ft. Ord, Calif., for the present time. Mrs. Bessie Webb underwent major ma-jor surgery at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake and is doing fine. She is at the home of her daughter Kathryn for a few days before returning re-turning home later this week. Geniel Webb left for CSU Cedar where she will attend summer sessions. ses-sions. Judith Galli attended a 4-H Youth Conference at Snow College in Eph-riam Eph-riam from Wednesday until Saturday. Satur-day. Friends in the erea will be inter ested to know that Mrs. Harriet Spendlove is in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake for surgery this week. The new baby is a first grandchild for Mr. Wallace Church of Delta and Mr. and Mrs. Millard Owens, of Cedar City. Ladd Cropper, former Hinckley resident, is hospitalized at the Dee Memorial Hospital in Ogden, where he underwent back surgery recently Mrs. Iivin W. Jeffery went to Provo, Friday, June 0, to brin Joyce Jeffery and baby daughter, Sherry Lee, homo. Joyce will reside here while her husband, Sp 1 Iuee Jeffery is stationed in Viet Nam.
