Show H inckley - - - ELAINE HARDY Mrs. Julia Carpenter and children, Ken, Kntliy, Brent, and Lee Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Morris, left Wednesday on the train to go to Nipton Calif., where Donald is working. They drove home Friday. Mrs. Gertha Bishop's son, Gam, rame home last week on leave before be-fore returning to the service to be shipped to Viet Nam soon. He and his mother have been out of town this week visiting relatives before 0rn h"s to go back. Don Morris and Carl Hardy spent a day at Beaver this week. Mark Petersen spent two days in Provo during the week to attend the basketball tournament. After spending two weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Valyn Dutson and family, helping with the family fam-ily and now baby, Mrs. Vi Draper returned to her home in Price Satur day. The Rookette Club met at the home of Mrs. Shirl Bailey in Delta Monday, Mar. 13. Supper and Rook were enjoyed during the evening. Attending were members and guest Mable Warnick. Patrice and Barry Bishop visited and stayed over night with their brother, Ray Bishop and wife, Beverly, Bev-erly, in Provo this week, when they were there for the tournament. Ruthanna Morris and Emily Young of Abraham accompanied them. Two families in town have new cars, the Carl Damrons and the Ted Dennisons. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Dillenbeck were in Provo Wednesday. They attended at-tended the ball games and also visited with their granddaughter, Deon Talbot. T i.nv. At the George Ekins home this weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ekins and two children; Margaret Ekins Wilde and daughter. Sharilyn Hardy went to Salt Lake on the train Friday to see Sharon and family. She returned home Sun day afternoon, Terri andBobby returned re-turned with her to spend the week here. Jeddie Judd and son, Gregory drove over from Fillmore this week. Gregory stayed to visit with his grandparents, the Lee Judds. Sympathy is extended to the fam ily of Cecille Webb Davis of Tooele daughter of the Roy Webbs. Mrs. Davis was also the mother-in-law of Lawanna Workman Davis, daugh ter of the eKarl Workmans. Attending the funeral services in Todele for Mrs. Cecille Webb Davis Saturday were family members, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Webb, Edell Spen cer, Les Webb, Lillian and Ren Tay lor, Karl and Arvilla Workman, Mrs. Delma Jean Galli, Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Swensen. The Duane Galli family enjoyed a family outing one day this week In Provo. Mrs.Alta Warnick and Cindy Carter, Car-ter, daughter of the Kennard Carters, Car-ters, went to Cedar Wednsday to attend a 4-H convention. Mrs. Alma Edwards of Salt Lake visited at the home of her sister, Mrs. Alta Warnick on the weeknd. Th Ron Shumway family drove to Provo Saturday. Howard and Roma Bird and Mrs. Lula Gull of Meadow came to see Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Talbot Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Spencer and boys left Thursday for a trip to Calif. They will spend five days on their trip. Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Wright and family of Ogden were here on the week end. Varla and children will remain here for a week. Elwin re turned home Sunday nnd will come i next week to get his family. Melvin and Carmen Hepworth oft Cedar visited area residents over the weekend. Mrs. Beryl Hardy and daughter,! Mrs. Chris Cropper drove to Salt , Lake Saturday to attend a bridal j party for Beryl's neice, Lana Hunter daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hunter. Hun-ter. They returned home that nite. Mel Wright accompanied John to Salt Lake Monday. Mrs. Clara Stew art, Mrs. Elaine Hirdy, Mrs. Anna Lee Hepworth, Mrs. Arvilla Swen sen. Mrs. Oleta Swensen was hostess to the Rook Club Wednesday, Mar. 15 at her homo. Present were mem bers and guests, Carol Bishop, Ver-na Ver-na Taylor, Golda Talbot, Anna Lee Hepworth, and Elaine Hardy. 1st prize won by Circa Stewart, 2nd, Dorothy Damron, guest, Elaine Har dy, low, Thora Petersen. Grand si m, Nina Mecham. Visiting Mrs. Vi Robinson, Monday Mon-day and Tuesday were her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Davis of Washington, Ut., and Wed nesday Vi's brother and wife, Dr. and Mrs. Garth Chatterly of Cedar visited her. Mr. and Mrs. Randle Swensen and Diane went to Salt Lake Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Theobald were in Salt Lake this week for doctor's appointments. Plan to attend the Hinckley Relief Rel-ief Society Annual program and supper Friday, March 24, at 7:30 in the ward chapel. Saturday the Lions Club is sponsoring spon-soring ah Easter egg hunt on the church lawn for the children at 9:00 a.m. 'he Sunday School is in charge of the sand hill party for all the families of the ward. Bring your own lunch. The punch will be furnished. Every one in the ward is invited. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Taylor and family of Nephi spent Sunday with TIIIIUI WAllll AIUiA NEWS FRANCES WHICKER Mrs. Amanda Whicker received an announcement and picture of her tiny new great-granddaughter, Linda RaNae, born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Morilvn) Whicker of Sun-nydale, Sun-nydale, Calif., March 23rd. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Tolbert were visited during the week by her brother, Ellis Mitchell and her only sister, Mrs. D. J. Lee. Mr. and Mrs. Garth (Opal Jean) Tolbert and children, I.vnette, Mar-go, Mar-go, Howard and Bruce visited Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Tolbert also Opal's mother, Mrs. Nell Watson, who is in the West. Millard Hospital. So happy to report Mrs. Watson is now at home. Mrs. Piatt Taylor has returned home alter a stay in the West Mill ard Hospital. We are hoping they have rapid recovery. Mrs. Boyd (Erma Jean) Rollins of Orem and Marion Bonnion of Provo spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stirling Bennion. We are wishing Mrs. 15ennion much better heolth as she is now at home nfler a stay in the hospital. They enjoyed a visit during the week with their son Hamilton and his sons Lee and Wayne. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Theobald and daughters ,Shonna and Deanne of Salt Lake have been visitors at Tom's parents, the Alton Theobalds Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Theobald and sons, Kelly and Gregory of Las Veg as also visited. At the Carlos Anderson's Sunday Sun-day were Marie and Wonn George of Springville. They were returning return-ing to their home after having been to the Temple at St. .George. They attended Conference here where they met many old friends and acquaintances. They are now moving mov-ing from Lafayette to San Diego. Mr. and Mrs, LeGrande Law spent the past week in Las Vegas visiting their daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ar-mand Ar-mand Mirigione and children. She attended the wedding of grand daughter, Shnuna Jean Little. Mr. and Mrs. LeGrande Law spent the last weekend in Salt Lake. Mrs. Cecilia Hopkins received word of a new great-grandchild to bring the number to 15. Tite little girl born to Mr. and Mrs. Lue VVich-ert, VVich-ert, of Midvnle is a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hopkins. Home from CSU for quarter break at the E. L. Moody home was Alison Ali-son Moody, also Mr. and Mrs. Ken (Susan) Moody and tiny son who will be named M"rk Emerald in Provo April 1. Pres. and Mrs. E. L. F. Buck. Jerry and Delene Huff left Thurs day (today) for their home in Davis Calif., after spenting quarter break with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dell Ashby and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ger-ald B. Huff. Mr. and Mrs.Huff returned re-turned to Davis with them for a short visit. Jerry is in the Veter inary School of the University of Calif. Mrs. Vivian Jacobs recently re turned to her Delta home after visit ing with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. David Jacobs in Harbor City, Calif. Max Humphries is at Highgrove Calif., where he has honey bee 'n- terests. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hardy and children visited in Salt Lake Sun day with their son and his wife, Craig and Paula. Young visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Jackson are three grandchildren, Gregory, Lori Ann and Scott, children of Mr. and Mrs. La Veil Jackson of Las Vegas Mrs. LaVerl Jackson is hospitalized in a Las Vegas hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Seth Jackson met LaVerl at St. George to bring the children to Delta for a visit while their mother is in the hospital. Mrs. Adeline Jeffery left Delta Monday for Salt Lake where she and a daughter, Miss Pearl Jeffery boarded a plane for Boise, Idaho, where they attended the funeral services for Mr. Delbert Buchanan, Mrs. Jeffery's brother. The services were held Tuesday. Leigh Maxfield is recovering the Stake Presidency Saturday evening. Home for spring vacation is Jean Eliason to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Eliason and family. from eye surgery which he recent ly underwent in a Salt Loke hospital. WANDA NIELSON Mrs. Jean Bradfield and boys were in Provo Sat., on business. There will be a wood finishing class in Leamington sometime in April. Mrs Mar Genne Rowley will be the instructor. Bill Nielson went to Salt Lake last week for a medical checkup. Ruth Nielson and girls went to Salt Lake Friday and Saturday to visit with Nancy and Joe Nielson and family. Bill and Claudine Nielson went to Milford one day last week on business busi-ness and also visited with Theron Nielson. Mrs. Merl Finlinson went to Texas to spend a week or two with Mr. and Mrs. Niel (Vcrdene) Rawlinson and family. - Wade and I went to Salt Lake Friday by train to take care of some business. We came back Sat urday with Gayl and Marsha. The last two times I was in Salt Lake I tried to call Nora Nielson, but her phone has been busy. Mr. and Mrs. James Pay and boys of Mona and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jay of Goshen visited and had dinner din-ner with Mr. and Mrs. Randall Brad field Sunday.
