She Ss the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Lorna) Mclntyre. Mrs. Edith Bessy of San Jose. Calif., Is visiting with her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Wells' Niel-son Niel-son for awhile. Sydell Searle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Syd (Merdith) Searle, of Orem, was married to Karl Wat-kins, Wat-kins, of Provo, last week. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson. Mrs. Erva Bradfield spent part of last week in Salt Lake with Shirley and Dee Bradfield and boys. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Nielson took a trip over the weekend to the canyons in Southern Utah and they also visited with Thelma's father who lives in St. George. Dee and Shirley Bradfield and boys were down over Thursday, Friday and Saturday, last week to visit with parents, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield. They took the boys out to Topaz to get some rocks and also for a trip. Randall and Erva Bradfield went to Fairvlew last Sunday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Albert DELTA THIRD YARD AREA NEWS BRIEFS FRANCES WHICKER Our ward is sorrowing with the rest of the town in the loss of David Bohn. We all face life knowing ad vtrse conditions are ahead as well as all the wonderful blessings, yet somehow we aren't prepared for this loneliness. We truly sympa thize with his loved ones. Mrs. Tom (Chloe) Manning and six chilen came to visit Mrs. Alice Gardner and Carol over the long U. E. A. weekend. Chloe and Carol went to pick up Kent at the B. Y. U. and on to Salt Lake Airport to biing Royal Gardner home. He has been in Peace Corps. They stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Clair M. Gardner over night and came to Delta Sat- ( Lillian) Penny and family. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradfield of Murray were there also, to help celebrate Lillian's birthday. Mrs. June Bradfield and boys went to Provo last Fri. on business. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Larsen and and family of Milford, visited with mother, Mrs. Myrtle Nielson last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eoyd Johnson of Richfield, visited with Claudine and Bill Nielson last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hanson, Kim and Shauna went to Salt Lake, a week ago last Sunday to see Mel- isse (Burton's sister) who is in the hospital. They say she is improving some but slow. They also spent part of the day with Marsha. Mrs. Fern Willden and family were down a week ago Sunday to visit and help Margaret McCann and mother Millie, as neither one is feeling too good. Joan Bird and family and Bud and Nan Nielson and family were up home Sunday for a family dinner. din-ner. We ate on the patio for the first time this year, as it's been so windy all summer, it was impossible to eat outside. Inez and Gayl were home over the weekend also. Mr Nye Willden phoned his parents par-ents to report he was safely back in New York after a business trip to Chicago, Millwalkie and Penn sylvania. He is an advertising con sultant and covers much of the Eastern States and Canada. Mr. and Mrs. Pete (Althea Orton) Fridaye spent Saturday in Delta where they attended the Farewell for Dennis Davis and visited Mr. and Mrs. Al Willden and friends. They returned to their home in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Allen and two children, Randy and Marlene spent the weekend in Delta attending attend-ing the Farewell for Dennis and visiting friends and relatives. Mrs. Al Willden and Mrs. Keith Ross spent 4 days In Salt Lake where they had medical appointments, appoint-ments, also chatted with friends. Mrs. Sharon Dutson and daughter Dorothy spent three days in Delta. They came home with Naomi and Melba. Her husband came and took them back to Salt Lake. The children remained at the grandparents while Eugene and his wife shopped foi gifts for his adopted parents Christmas. They are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rogers of South Africa where Eugene filled an L. D. S. mission. Eugene has past the main exam fur Doctorate and has two to go one in January and one later in the spring, then he will be Doctor Doc-tor of Education. Miss Ori Ashby of B. Y. U. and Miss Jean Ashby of Logan were home over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ashby. We had a truly wonderful Conference Con-ference and Mr. Paul H. If I am re-elected I will continue to work for the best interest of Millard County and will continue to probe into all county expenditures expend-itures seeking places for further reduction. I believe in tax equality and will work to support continued tax reductions. Millard County was in sound financial fi-nancial condition when I assumed assum-ed duties as county commissioner commission-er four years ago. It is in better financial condition today. Thru the concerted efforts of "the full commission, we have been able to reduce the tax levy by one mill for 19G7. I'm pleased with my overall record rec-ord as a Democratic County Com missioner. I will welcome the opportunity to work again with Commissioners Commission-ers Ekins and Christensen in providing pro-viding improvement incentives in our Millard County tax program. pro-gram.
