Show Improper Passing Citation Issued Susan M. Theobald, 20, Salt Lake City was cited for improper passing pass-ing by Highway Patrolman Tom Rynearson, following a two-car accident ac-cident Sept. 23, 4:45 p.m. seven miles east of Deseret on 140 or more commonly called "Lone Tree Road." Passenger of Mrs. Theo bald's was her mother, Alma Theobald. The-obald. Miss Theobald was driving a 1962 Fairlane. The second car involved in the accident was a 1965 Ford driven by Edna S. Cropper of Oasis. Both cars were headed east, according ac-cording to Patrolman Rynearson, when Miss Theobald started to pass Mrs. Cropper. The Theobald car cut in before clear of the Cropper Crop-per vehicle causing a slight impact. im-pact. The Cropper car struck the Theobald car in the right rear fender fen-der causing it to spin around half a turn and coming to a stop off the road on the south side facing west. The Cropper car crossed the west traffic lane and traveled into a borrow pit between two telephone tele-phone poles taking out approximately approxi-mately fifteen fence posts and fencing. Circling a telephone pole again, Mrs. Cropper got the car back onto the road coming to stop in the east traffic lane facing east. Patrolman Rynearson estimated damages at $1000 to the Cropper car and $150.00 to the Theobald car. The U. S. She entered the Excelsis Beauty School Monday morning. Walter and Lola Stoneking are no longer driving an Impala. They have a new red and white Chevy truck now. Carl Stoneking spent part of his vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stoneking. He drew an elk permit for the FishLake un it. We hope he gets his elk when he goes in November. Charles and Helen Mane Stone king Thayer have been visiting lately with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stoneking, and the Grant Theobalds in Delta. Mrs. Theobald is reported much laetter after her recent illness. Helen Ma rie brought her pony "Sheba" back to pasture during the winter. Lola Stoneking reports her sis ter Vera's daughter from Richmond, Virginia, (Karen King) is working in the church office building in Salt Lake City. Marilyn and Olen Sherrif and little daughter, Jerene, visited us Saturday. They went with us to Marjum Pass, the o'.d Bob Stinson place, Tule Valley and Death Canyon Can-yon and Antelope Springs. We had visited Sinbad recently, and 1 de clare that is a beautiful sight if hard to get to. All the men are talking deer hunting already. Of course, half the fun is in the planning. Clark and Reva Bliss and the Bob Robisons of Cropper Lane, drove to Milford, Sunday to celebrate Bob's birthday. They had dinner In the new Hong Cong Cafe, then just drove around the country and had a real nice time. Miss Jill Johnson entered college in Cedar City. Garland and Phyllis' other daughter, Jackie, is teaching in Moab, which is too far to get home very often. Millard County Chronicle Thursday, September 30, 196S RUBY SKEEM 4-11 Club Week Being Observed National 4-H Club Week is be ing observed by about 396 4-H Club members in West Millard County (Sept. 25 to Oct. 2.) The head-heart-hands-health youth are among 2hk million members of 94,- 800 clubs in rural, small town, ur ban and suburban areas through out the 50 States and Puerto Rico. Each community in West Millard is having special activities to hon or this week with their 4-H mem bers and leaders. Among aims of this year's 4-H Week observance are to encourage more young people, 9 to 19 years old, to join or form 4:H Clubs; acquaint ac-quaint more parents with 4-H and enlist their cooperation; urge a larger number of capable, public- spirited men and women to volun teer as 4-H leaders; recognize the important part played by friends of 4-H, locally and nationally, and express appreciation to them. Aiding club members with 4-H Week events here and elsewhere will be 367,000 local 4-H leaders, who guide 4-H work in their communities com-munities throughout the country. They will be assisted by 138,600 older 4-H'ers called junior leaders. JoLynn Stanworth was baptised Saturday into the LDS Church and confirmed Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Willoughby were here for the weekend. II; Neighbors Mrs. Jack Willoughby spent last week in Salt Lake with Dan and Yvonne and new baby and the weekend in Provo with Paul and Sue, while Sue was in the hospital. Erma Skeem visited with her son, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Skeem and family. Mr. Floyd Skeem and daughter, Delene, spent Saturday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stanworth went to Salt Lake to the Forman's Banquet Saturday night. Beulah and Sharon Rowley took Susan to Ephraim to school. We'll all miss Susan. Terry Stanworth had a birthday this week. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Davis from Black Rock visited with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stanworth.
