An Ordinance amending the plat of Block 84, Plat "A", Delta Town-site Town-site in Millard County, State of Utah, the same being a part of Section 7, Twp. 17 S., Range 6 West SLM, by creating a dedicated street 50 feet wide, running north and south through the center of the said block, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF DELTA, UTAH: Section 1. A belated birthday wish goes to both Frank and Faye Tennant of Tooele. Little Kelli Shields, Dorothy's baby ba-by has spenj two weeks at the home of Grandma and Grandpa Tolbert. Congratulations to Ted Harris for the lovely new cafe he has opened in Delta. Verl Tolbert has been home over the weekend helping his father, Sherman catch up with some farm work. At the Ed Taylor home Sunday vere Mr. and Mis. Myron Taylor nd family of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. .'vi'sjr of Ey and Mr. and Mrs. Ru-.'us Ru-.'us (Maud Taylor) Westover of ;learfie!d. The Westovers also visited with us. Incirlonily, they were married the same time as we were 50 years ago but have been gone from Abraham many years. Ve enjoyed a nice visit with our old friend Heber Rose Sunday. He is an old-time resident of Abraham, too, you know and now lives in Sutherland. Heber says Dofa's brother bro-ther Pete Twitchell is not a bit we.l. He lives in Ogden and Dora was just recently up to see him. Roland Cahoon and wife and mother mo-ther Mrs. Eva Cahoon and little Nila of Oasis called on us Sunday. I've heard it said: "You never can tell about women and if you can. you shouldn't." Mrs. Myron Taylor and children of Orem are going to spend a week or so with her parents the Keysers of Ely, Nevada. DESERET ARPRILLA SCOW Mr. Frank Black spent several days at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake where he had surgery. We wish him a speedy recovery. Mr. Ralph Conk of Kearns spent several days at Deseret taking care of his farm interests here. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Black visited during the week at Tooele with their son Verl and family. Mrs. Fern Crafts and son Terry spent Thursday in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Eva Robison returned home Friday after having spent the past week at the hospital in Nephi. We wish her a speedy recovery. Mrs. Carol Cropper visited over the weekend at Las Vegas with her husband Marlow. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Torrens and son from Calif, spent the past week visiting with Douglas's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Torrens. They are spending this week in Provo with Mrs. Torrens' parents before their return home. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Knight and daughters spent Saturday afternoon after-noon at Provo where they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Knight and son. It was Bryce's birthday. Deseret Rook Club met on Thurs day evening at the home of Arpril-,a Arpril-,a Scow. Luncheon was served and the rest of the evening was spent with playing one high rook. Club members present were Bessie Webb, Lucile Sampson, Elaine Moody, Moo-dy, Lucille Hales, Jackie Black, De-lores De-lores Ogden. Guests for the evening even-ing were Stella Hawley and Mae Cropper. Prizes were won by Elaine Moody, Jackie Black, Lucille Sampson Samp-son and Lucile Hales. Miss Diane Jensen who is attending attend-ing college at Logan was home for the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Dewsnup and son and daughter of Coalville spent Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milden Scow and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewsnup. Miss Eva Alice Robison of Salt Lake came down for the weekend to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Robison. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hales and son David from BYU spent Saturday at St. George where they visited with their daughter and sister Rawlene Hales. Mrs. Elaine Moody visited her parents, M.r. and Mrs. Geo. Schmutz at St. George Saturday. The program at Sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday evening was put on by the Delta High School Mixed Chorus, under the direction of Miss Julia Bogh. It was a very outstanding outstand-ing program with music and talks. We invite them to come again soon Mr. and Mrs. Henry Larsen spent a few days in Salt Lake visiting with their children. At Sacramtnt meeting Sunday evening Robert Allred, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orin Allred, received his Duty to God Award. Congratulations, Congratula-tions, Robert. The Landscaping Project at the church houst is progressing real fast. The cement walks are all finished fin-ished and now the ground is being prepared to plant new lawns and put in some shrubs. It will certainty certain-ty be a beautiful church yard when the project is completely finished. The Deseret Ward Scouts attended attend-ed the Stake Scout Outing over the weekend. Eleven Scouts from our wr,-d were in attendance. Orin All-red, All-red, Waldo Black and Irish Anderson Ander-son were with the boys as their supervisors. A good time was had by all. These Stake Outings for the boys are really helpful and of great importance to boys of Scout age. Mr. Louis Schoenberger spent several days out west taking care of his mining interests. Mrs. Josie Moody returned home Monday after having spent the past week at Arizona visiting with Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Judd and family. fa-mily. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Black are spending this week out at tho Black Ranch. Miss Babette Peterson who is attending at-tending USU spent Saturday and Sunday as a guest of Gary Dutson. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bennett spent the weekend at Granger with their daughter LaRue and family. Whiie there they attended the opera op-era "Finian's Rainbow". Their grandson, Gary Willden had the leading role. It was a wonderful production. On Sunday they attend ed church and another grandson, Phil, was crdained a Priest. Sunday Sun-day afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Archie Barben of Delta, Mr. and Mrs. Don Roesner and daughter Jeri and son Jinimie of Chicago and Miss Edwards Ed-wards of Delta and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Barben and family of Brig ham City all met at the Wnlden home and visited before the Roes-ners' Roes-ners' flew back to Chicago.
