Show First Ward Hews LEONA WORKS We were all happy to bare Mrs. Virgie Broderick (who recently bout a home in Eureka) and Mrs. Boyd Bunker of Sutherland visit with us In Relief Society Tuesday. Mrs. LaVon Dool n has mored back to live in Delta after being gone for a year. We are happy to have her back. tost Thursday Mrs. Blanch Works, Alisha Jackson, Donnetta Hardy, Leona Works, Erma Works and Betty Lister of Delta, Arvilla Swensen, Oleta Swensen, Edith Dennison and LaFay Corey of Hinc-' Hinc-' kiey, Syrelda Crapo of Fillmore and Geneal Stevens of Holden all went to Sterling to the home of Jeneve Chapman's. We all took a pot luck d nner and spent the day quilting for Jeneve. After inviting the cousins cou-sins and other relatives from Mantl and Sterling we had quite a family fam-ily reunion with 23 people in all. Mr. and Mrs. LaVerl Jackson and family of Salt Lake spent the week . end with Mr. and Mrs. Seth Jackson, Jack-son, Sheldon and Dewaine. LaVerl came down for the deer hunt. Seth, LaVexl, Dewaine, Sheldon, Mont and Craig all went Saturday and all came back without a deer and said they didn't see only one or two. Maybe there aren't many. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Farris and family of Spanish Fork spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jensen. I imagine Robert was hunting. hunt-ing. At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Or- vil Jeffery during the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jeffery of Provo, a granddaughter and Judy Ju-dy from Salt Lake and on Sunday Elwood Bladden and son Tommy stopped on their way back from Cedar City. We want to extend our "Get Well Quick" wishes to Mrs. Ned Church who had surgery last week in the West Millard Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. LaVoy Rohison and three children of California are visiting vis-iting with Mr. and Mrs. Max Robi-son. Robi-son. Stanley was home from school and Mr. and Mrs. Kay Gardner were here from Orem to visit with the Robisons and the Gardners. I saw Mrs. A. B. Johnson and two children to church with Mrs. Bryce Bunker. They live at Loa where A. B. is working as a Game Warden and with the Forest Service I think. Donald Western was home oyer the weekend. Also Mr. Richard Munson came in from Ely to get his family and take home. Visiting wi h Mrs. Delia Lisonbee and Mr. and Mrs. David Jacobs for a week are Mr. and Mrs. Bert Stoddard Stod-dard of Bakesfield, Calif, and Mr. and Mrs. David Jacobs, Jr. of Los Alamitos, Calif. Bruce Lisonbee who is going to school at CSU and Sandra Lisonbee from the BYU spent the weekend with their grandmother, Mrs. Delia Lisonbee. They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lisonbee who recently re-cently moved back to Torrence, Calif. Mrs. Lynn Wcrrnick is visiting in bait Lake with her sisters. Mrs. DeUsert Crapo of Fillmore and Mrs. Cleed Crapo and two sons of Kearns visited Saturday with Mrs. Blanche Works and on Sunday Mrs. Grant Stevens of Holden and Mrs. Jan McKee and three children of Bountiful visited with her. Sunday ninght Sacrament ser vices in our ward were given by High Counc Iman Thurman Moody, He brot with him as speakers," his sister Karen Moody from BYU who has just recently returned from a tour of eight states where she was with a traveling program which they presented to the Indian people peo-ple in the different states. David Henrie gave a very good talk. Thur man talked and his young son sang a solo accompanied by his mother. Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Moody visited our ward Sunday night. Miss VeAnn Draper was home for the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clark Draper and Jean and Dean. She seems to have recovered from her accident. Mr. and Mrs. James Jones and family and Mrs. Pearl Mercer of Layton spent the weekend in Delta with Joe (Bus) Mercer and also to look after their property here. Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Gardner received re-ceived a phone call Sunday morning morn-ing from her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Sperry Manwaring and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lee of Salt Lake that they were flying to Delta Sun day to spend the day with them. They came and had dinner, visited and returned to their home that evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Jeffery, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Jeffery and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. Kennard Riding and family, Carol Ann Jeffery, Ar. and Mrs. Ray Jeffery and family and Mrs. Auline Jeffery and family all met at the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Newbold in South Jordan for a house warming and pot luck dinner. M'ss Pearl Jeffery came out from Salt Lake to explain and bring them up to date on the Jeffery family genealogy. They al? returned home Friday evening, except ex-cept Wallace and Mary who stayed and went to Bountiful Saturday to see how the new home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jeffery's was progressing. Sa.urday afternoon they drove to Provo where they picked up Carol Ann Jeffery and David Hales and attended a wedding reception in Nephi for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Painter a niece and cousin of the Jefferys. Mrs. George (Bertha) Barton and Mrs. Brenda Love visited friends and relatives in H'nckley and Des-exet Des-exet Sunday. Mrs. Linda Lou Searle and small son were at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Talbot. Noreen and Susan Reeve were home for the weekend at the El-ford El-ford Reeve's home. Miss Alice Gaye Bliss and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Skeem visited at the Orin Bliss home. Blaine Spendlove was down to go deer hunting with Cluff Talbot. Carolyn Randall's brother, John W. Alford of Dugway has been vi siting at her home for the past week. Mr. Reed Stewart has been visiting visit-ing his mother, Mrs. Clara Stewart and cleaning up the yard around his home here. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Wright received receiv-ed word of a new baby daughter born to Mr. and Mrs. Dean (Carma) Evans of Dillon, Mont. This is their third daughter. The PTA held a very nice supper in connection with National Lunch Room Week last Wedesday night. Mrs. Beryl Hardy served a chicken dinner to over seventy people. Deon and Kenney Talbot entertained with two mus'cal numbers. Special the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Kennard Rid'.ng and family. The men went hunting and the women visited. Dr. and Mrs. Harold Snow and son are here for the deer hunt and to visit with their folks, the Evan Gardners and Violet Snow. Mr. Sam Brlngard of Las Vegas visited part of last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brmg-ard. Brmg-ard. They are moving from Las Vegas to Cedar City where Sam has employment. Mr. and Mrs. Vera Stewart were here for the deer hunt. Vern hunted hunt-ed and Linda Sue visited with Mr. and Mrs. Med Hawley. Vis ton at the home of Mr. E. E. Gardner were Mr. and Mrs. Larry Gardner and family, William Gardner, Gard-ner, Mrs. Kenneth Hayes and two sons from Salt Lake, Glade Lund-all Lund-all and son Gaylon of Ogden, David Da-vid Gardner (son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Gardner) from the BYU and Mr. ann Mrs. Lew Gerber from Cali fornia. Mrs. Martha Shanks of Salt Lake is here spending a week with Mrs. Adaline Jeffery.
