Blaine Cropper of Deseret and Roger Rog-er Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tarn Davis of Delta were married Friday Fri-day evening, June 12 In the Deseret Ward Chapel 'by Bisnop Lancoin j liason. Vincent Cropper, son of Mr. and Mrs-. Lincoln Cropper of Deseret Des-eret and Kristine Hardy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hardy of Hinckley Hin-ckley were married in the Deseret Stake House Saturday evening, June 13. A reception was held Friday Fri-day evening for Gaylyn and Roger in the Deseret Recreation Hall and a reception for Vin and Kris was held Saturday evening at the Hinckley Hin-ckley Recreation Hall. Record break ing crowds attended both gala affairs af-fairs and the young couples both received numerous wonderful gifts to start out their married life. We certainly wish for them the best of everything in the years to come and much happiness together. High Councilman Eldon Eliason brot the program for Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Elder Leo Lyman of Delta, a recently returned missionary from the California mission mis-sion was the first speaker. A beautiful beau-tiful vocal duet was sung by Gale and Karen Eliason, accompanied by Alice Gaye Bliss. Mr. Eliason gave the concluding talk. The talks were both very good and were enjoyed by all present. Stanley Hales was advanced to the office of a priest in the Aaronic Priesthood. Congratulations, Congrat-ulations, Stanley. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Croft were Mr. Wednesday. Early Thursday morn ing Doug and LaRUa left Deseret to return to their home In Calif. Garry Dutson and Darrel Scow left on their second trip to California Cali-fornia Thursday morning, returning return-ing home Sunday. They left Monday Mon-day morning to return to California Mr. and Mrs. Ormus Dutson and son Gill are living in California at the present time. Mrs. Denise Palmer and daughter daugh-ter Sharee spent Friday and Saturday Satur-day in Salt Lake and Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Fairchlld arrived arriv-ed Wednesday from their home in Midvale, Idaho to spend a few days visiting relatives and friends here. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western accompanied ac-companied Mrs. Evelyn Robison and son Stanley to St. George Saturday Sat-urday to attend funeral services there for Isaac Alldredge. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Allred and John Henry Hen-ry Western accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris to the same fun eral. Mr. Alldredge was a brother- in-law to John Henry and Maine. Mrs. Lucile Hales and Fay Davis who are attending school at CSU were home for the weekend Lt. Colonel and Mrs. Clyde Waller and four children of Fort Ord, Calif. arrived here Thursday. They came especially to attend the wedding of the;r brother, Vincent Cropper and Kristine Hardy. Other Cropper relatives who were here for both weddings were Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Dorton, Mr. and Mrs. Henstrom, Neva Cropper, Ira Lee Cropper, all of Salt Lake, and girls of Provo. Carl Webb and his girl friend spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Webb. Carl just got his car repaired after J. it-ting it-ting a cow so was able to return to Salt Lake in it. Mrs. Lou Larsen and Vernell Ba ker spent Monday in Salt Lake. Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Warner were relatives Lorenzo Rowley, Emiiy Wade and Eva Warner of Fillmore. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Stevens of Fillmore and two daughters attended attend-ed the wedding ceremony of their granddaughter Gaylyn Cropper and Roger Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Moody were here from Nephi to attend the wedding wed-ding reception for Vin and Kris. On their return from a recent visit in Salt Lake with daughter, Darlene Wade and family, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Peterson brot two of their granddaughters with them for a visit. The Hom&r Jensen family were happy to have relatives from Bue-na Bue-na Park, Calif, visit them Sunday afternoon. They were Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Homan (Betty Lou Gillies), their teenage daughters Linda and Kay and Rae's aunt, Lorena Gillies, Mrs. Homan's mother. Some of these people lived in the Delta area years ago. Sugarville VENICE DAVIS Mr. and Mrs. Doug Sears of Las Vegas visited with their s'ster, Faye Ciark and family over the weekend. Homer Johnson's son and his family fa-mily of Idaho visited this last week with Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Losee and family. Mary Lin and family of Layton visited this week with her mother, Doris Abbott. Mr. and Mrs. LaRay Greene visited vis-ited over the weekend with their mother, Lois Greene and Chuck, also with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Davis. Da-vis. Terry Abbott, son 'f Mr. and Mrs. Manley Abbott has been here visiting visit-ing grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Terry and Doris Abbott. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Shurtz and family made a trip to Salt Lake for MIA Conference and a visit withj relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Jenson and family fa-mily made a trip to Salt Lake for MIA Conference this weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Poulsen and family were here also for Jim's wedding and reception. The Jolly Stitchers met with HU da Oliver and Ann Hales Friday afternoon with 19 members pre sent. A delicious lunch was served then we visited her beautiful yards. Joyce Hill and Dean Losee are both home from USU and both have employment. Sunday night the program was g'.ven by Michael Rose, a returned missionary. Mr. and Mrs. Western sang a beautiful beau-tiful duet, "Whispering Hope". The little son of Tom and Ardyce Roger was blessed by his father and named Warren Thomas Rogers. Others assisting with the blessing were grandfather Wayne Nielson, great-grand'athefs Clarence Nielson Niel-son and George H. Anderson. There was a large audience present to enjoy this meeting. Sunday, June 14 was the 86th birthday of Mrs. Genevieve Blan-chard. Blan-chard. Friends and relatives called and many cards expressed congratulations congrat-ulations for this lovely great-great-grandmother at the home of her daughter, Donna Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Meldon Anderson and two children of McGill, Nev. are visiting at the Melvin Anderson home for two or three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Don Droilinger and son Michael visited at .the Ivan Shipley home Saturday and Sunday. Sun-day. Gwen Christensen returned from Salt Lake where she has vis ited the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Finlinson and children and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Anderson spent a few days at Tro pic with daughter, Genevieve and family and assisted while there wuh the blessing of their little new granddaughter who was nam ed Lou Ann. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson and son Garth visited several days with relatives and friends at Blandmg. Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Nielson and family vacationed in California last week. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Sheriff spent several days vacationing in the canyons. They report a nice trip. Mrs. Mary E. Anderson spent ten days visiting in Idaho with her fa mily there. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson were weekend visitors at Clearfield. They brot granddaughter, Natalie Call home for a visit. ' Monte Nielson is at Camp Williams Wil-liams with the National Guard for two weeks. Lee and Scot Olson of Provo visited vis-ited a few days with Alden Nielson and family. Mrs. LaVon Finlinson and children child-ren visited with relatives and friends for a few days. Their home is at Paul, Idaho. At the Reed Lovell home were Mr. and Mrs. Merton Lovell "and children of St. George. Thurlow Jacobson's daughters, Delia, Bertha, Nancy and Sheila spent a week in Oak City from Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Sheriff and Mis. Melvin Roper and daughter Carolyn visited at Black Foot, Idaho. Ida-ho. Melvin joined them at Logan and visited in Idaho where they visited their brother Edward Lovell and family. Mrs. Ava Anderson and children attended June Conference in Salt Lake and also visited at Clinton and Sunset with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Roper also attended the June Conference in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Talbot had their son Richard and wife and her father visiting last week, also, Lu-Ona Lu-Ona and family were here. - Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Jacobson had their daughter, Arvilla and sons visiting vi-siting for a few days from Salt Lake. Visiting with his cousin, Mason Finlinson Is William Atkins of Arizona. Ari-zona. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Christensen and daughters spent a few days at their parents home, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Christensen. Elder LaMar Anderson arrived home Wednesday n'.ght the California Cali-fornia Mission. We welcome LaMar home. Beehive girls from Oak City who went to Gooseberry Camp were Debra Lovell, Carol Anderson, Lor-etta Lor-etta Pratt, and Cynthia Roper. All report a good time. Gordon and Joan Shipley report a new baby girl born at Utah Valley Val-ley Hospital June 7th. Congratulations, Congratula-tions, Joan and Gordon. Mrs. Helen Gardner and daughter daugh-ter Evelyn and Mrs. Clara Russell and daughter Linda visited in Oak City with their sister Chloe Alldredge. All-dredge. Helen left her little son Scott here with Chloe for a couple of weeks vacation. Dora Rose, David Henrie and his wife Barbara. Then Michael Rose talked: A lovely song, "He Who Has Clean Hands and a Pure Heart", was sung by Margo Rose, accompanied by Verla Jenson. Their talks were inspirational and enjoyed enjoy-ed by a large crowd. Heber Rose came as a visitor, also, Leonard Owens, Richard George and Raymond Ray-mond Adams. We are happy to have the Ashby family join our ward. We need them. Mr. and Mrs. Fxelen Shurtz made a trip to Provo on Monday for a visit with her mother, Malinda Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. Russell McBride and family stopped In on their way home from Las Vegas with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Davis on Monday.
