When asked what she liked lik-ed best of all about attending the college she said, "I like the friendly friend-ly atmosphere of both the teachers and students, and especially the individual in-dividual help one receives when necessary." The LDS Business College is always al-ways eager to have outstanding high school seniors such as Marsha attend the college and work in the administrative office. KUED to Feature Safety, Survival Training Course The Utah State Department of Fish and Game in cooperation with the University of Utah today made known plans to broadcast a quali fying hunter safety and survival training course over the facilities of KUED-TV, Channel 7. Designed to enable youngsters to qualify in hunter safety as required requir-ed by law, the course will be broad cast each week for a sixteen week period in order to meet the 8 hour minimum time period of instruction instruc-tion required by law. Broadcast time has been set for 8:30 to 9:00 p.m. every Monday evening beginning January 6 with classes scheduled to run through April 20. Instructor for the course will be A. Lee Robertson, State Training Officer for the Department of Fish and Game. While the course is designed to qualify first-time hunters in the safe handling of firearms, the Department De-partment pointed out that this qualification will be granted only to those students who register for the course with the Department of Fish and Game. Registration for the course can be accomplished by sending name, birth date, age and address together togeth-er with the $1.00 registration fee to cover cost of student study materials ma-terials and postage to Hunter Safety, Safe-ty, Utah State Department of Fish and Game, 1596 West North Temple, Tem-ple, Salt Lake City 16, Utah. Registration for the course will close December 31, 1963. The television training course has been scheduled because of the great demand for Hunter Safety Training and the lack of sufficient numbers of active instructors in the metropolitan areas. The course has been designed to take advantage of the slack winter months when students are enrolled in school and when vacations and holidays are few. According to Marven J. Ogden, j Ubu Extension Agent, students enrolled en-rolled for the television training course on Hunter Safety will be placed on the 4-H rolls of Millard County and given credit for a 4-H project if they notify the County Extension Office of their enrollment. enroll-ment.
