The cemeteries looked so beautiful with no wind to blow the flowers away. Our 'cemetery looked real nice Thursday Thurs-day evening, but Friday morning it was discovered that many dollars dol-lars worth of beautiful plastic flowers flo-wers had been stolen from the graves. I don't understand how anyone could do such a thing. We had lots of visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Blake, Eva Cheel, Beulah, Evan Croft and Mable Olson were a few I noticed at the cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Western and girls and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Western Wes-tern and family were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western. West-ern. Verio Black and family were down from Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Damron and boys visited with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Arn-old Damron. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Christensen and Clay and Carolyn Christensen and friend visited with Mrs. Edna Christensen and the Phil Eliason family. We had a family picnic in the canyon in the afternoon Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cropper and Gaylyn and Mrs. Martha Mace and Marilyn spent Tuesday in Salt Lake and Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jensen spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Salt Lake City. j We were happy to have as a' stake board representative in Re- lief Society meeting Tuesday, Mel-1 ba Jacobson. We had a nice pro-, gram during the lesson and Melba sang a solo accompanied by Mrs. Lenore McCall. Other numbers were a reading by Mable Black, a vocal solo by Dorothy Croft accompanied ac-companied by Arprilla Scow and a reading by Vilate Maxfield. Our class leader is Myrtle Western for the social science lessons. Janice Petersen was home on vacation va-cation all last week. ' Ralph Curtis went to Salt Lake Wednesday where he joined Shel- J don Baker and they went to Cali-' fornia Thursday morning to stay several days. I Mrs. Mae Cropper and daughter Gaylyn and Miss Neva Cropper, spent Friday in Fillmore. Neva came down from Salt Lake City for Memorial Day with Maurice Dor-ton Dor-ton and son Morrie. They came for the stock show. Neva just recently returned from a tour of the southern south-ern states. She saw the Kentucky Derby and visited the large citie3 in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee and Texas, also Miami, Fla., and New Orleans, La. She visited Mesa Verde National Park on the way home. Orena Law Gottfredson, Helen Hel-en and Ray Tozer, former Deltans were on the same tour as was Geneva Ge-neva Anderson and Zina Kelly from Fillmore. They met Nina Law Reeve in Miami. They all had a wonderful time. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Brower spent four days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cuman Cropper. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Warner visited vis-ited Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Warner. Vincent Cropper is home from school in Logan to spend the summer sum-mer on the Cropper ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Axel Jensen and Max, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jensen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Phil Eliason Elia-son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Allred and boys, Mr. and Mrs. Meith Ogden and boys, Mr. and Mrs. Clive Black, Doyle Mace and boys, Glen Warner, Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Cropper and Mr. and Mrs. Ike Anderson and family were some of the anglers from Deseret over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Larsen and family were down for Memorial Day, also, Josephine Cahoon and her family. Miss Eva Alice Robison returned to Salt Lake Sunday after spending a ten day vacation with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Robison. Mrs. Fern Crafts and sons Terry end Arlan left Tuesday to spend two eweks in Colorado visiting Fern's parents and other relatives. While they are gone Bill is in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Justesen and boys were down for Memorial Day and visited with Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bennett. Ralph Conk and some of his family fa-mily were here for Memorial Day. Mr. and Mrs. Marlow Cropper were in Kaysville to the rodeo over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Robison were happily surprised Sunday to have Mr. and Mrs. Jim Manis call on them. Jim and Marion are former Desereters but left here fifteen years ago. They now live in Oregon Ore-gon and were on their way to Tennessee Ten-nessee where Jim lived many years ago. He was a son of the Continental Beauty College in Myrtle Strange Quarnburg and services ser-vices were held in Salt Lake. He died of a heart ailment at the age of 27. The funeral services for Mr. William Wil-liam Bradfield was attended by many friends and relatives. Too many to mention at this time. He was a very good neighbor, loved and respected by all who knew him. Claudine and Bill Nielson went fishing Saturday in Fairview, but was rained out so no fish. MISS BONNIE WILLDEN Engagement Told Mr. and Mrs. Al Willden are announcing an-nouncing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, dau-ghter, Bonnie Lee to Mr. Frank E. Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Carter, of Spanish Fork. The couple plan to be married Saturday, July 20 in the home of the bride. Couple to Unite Miss Nancy Black will become the bride of LeRoy (Gus) Fowles pie. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Dean Black of Deseret and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Fowles of Sutherland. A reception and dance honoring the newlywed9 will follow the ceremony. WANDA NIELSON girls came down last Tuesday and had chilli, ice cream, cookies and Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grygla and Glen Ray and Jay Grygla were home for Memorial Day. They are sons of Mrs. Clara Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Bud McCann and Deon were in Payson Sunday visiting visit-ing Bud's folks. Many of the people from Leamington Leam-ington attended the Glaucoma Clinic Cli-nic in Delta Monday night. Ruth Finlinson was in Logan ove the Memorial Day weekend. Mrs. Nora Nielson and sons, Thel-lo Thel-lo and Bud were down for Memorial Mem-orial Day visiting friends and relatives. rela-tives. O. (Marge) Juers and children in Wausau, Wis. They observed Mother's Day with Mrs. Welton at her home where forty family members gathered. In Wisconsin, they helped their daughter daug-hter celebrate her birthday. This was the first visit with their daughter daugh-ter in five years.
