Ibapah held a dance Nov. 25. The reports are that it was well attended attend-ed by young and old. Irl and Velma Timm had all their family home for the holidays. Arch and Leila Maxfield had all their family together in Salt Lake for Thanksgiving. Leila stayed for a longer visit. We had a good attendance at our Sunday School. I wish we could still get more out. Let's all be missionaries. mis-sionaries. The Callao School held their Thanksgiving program Nov. 22. Ed Alder brought his students from Gandy. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Tripp and girls spent Thanksgiving in Provo with relatives. NOTJCE: There is going to be a dance at Gandy Dec. 9, at the school house. They are having the Sam Bringarl orchestra. Everyone is invitel. We had our ward show Dec. 2. Danny Kaye starred in "Merry Andrew." An-drew." The Relief Society sold pop corn, root beer and cookies. Beginning with our ward show in January we will charge a small fee to help pay for the use of the film. 35 cents for adults and 25 i cents for children. We want to try and start our shows by 8:00 or ' sooner if it's possible. Mr. and Mrs. Irl Timm and .Myrtle Timm went to the weddins? dance at Baker, Nev., for the new Mr. and Mrs. La Von Rowley of Garrison. Gar-rison. The new bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Timm, formerly from Callao, now of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Sampson spent the weekend with George and Inez Tripp. . Stake visitors will be out this Sunday. We are always glad to see them come. They always add so much to our worship services. The lion hunters are back in the country again. They are Art Cooper Coo-per and Jesse Martin from Kla-moth Kla-moth Falls, Ore. Just here for the week, they want to try and get some more lions on the Hay Stack Mountains. When the men come down for gas they said they would show some films on their different hunting trips, here at the Callao cnurcn House. They had seven big hounds to helD do the iob. There have been a lot of baby pine trees cut this year in this country. Many trucks have gone through here loaded down with Christmas trees. Sutherland Miss Enaaged to Wed Mr. Bert Jensen, of Sutherland, announces the engagement of h.s daughter, Miss Elcee Jensen, to Zane Crafts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crafts, of Hinckley, Utah. Wedding plans will be announced at a later date. The bride-elect is a graduate of Delta High School and attended College of Southern Utah at Cedar City for a year. Mr. Crafts was graduated from Delta High School and is now em ployed in Salt Lake City. New, Different Holiday Dessert: Cranberry Butter Crunch Pie U"" - tt't Don't leave all your prize packages under the tree serve up this Cranberry Butter Crunch Pie for dessert during the holidays! holi-days! Make this dessert in a spring-form spring-form pan if you like. Then you can unmold it readily to display proudly at a holiday buffet. Or if you prefer, prepare Cranberry Butter Crunch Pie in a regular cake pan, square or round. Individual In-dividual servings can be removed re-moved just as neatly and easily. CRANBERRY BUTTER CRUNCH PIE 9" round cake pan Preheated oven 400 degrees 15 minutes baking time CRUST Vi cup softened butter 14 cup sugar 1 cup sifted flour M cup chopped pecans Mix all ingredients together in cake pan. Spread evenly over bottom of pan and bake for 8 minutes. Stir mixture with a fork and then continue baking for 7 minutes longer. Take from oven and immediately stir with a fork. Set aside half the mixture mix-ture for the crumbly top. While still hot spread the remaining , half over the pan and press down firmly to form the bottom crust. Cool. FILLING 1 package orange flavored gelatin 1 cup boiling water 1 10 '4 oz.tpackage frozen cranberry cran-berry orange relish, thawed 1 teaspoon lemon juice Vi teaspoon salt i cup ice water -i cup nonfat dry milk V cup sugar 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1 cup diced or miniature marsh-mallows marsh-mallows In freezer, chill thoroughly Vz cup water in small mixing bowl. Chill beaters. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add relish, lemon juice and salt. Chill until partially par-tially set. Take bowl from freezer freez-er and gradually beat nonfat dry milk into ice water. When mixture begins to thicken, continue con-tinue beating, adding sugar and lemon juice. Whip until thick and fluffy. Add marshmallows to jellied cranberry. Fold whipped nonfat dry milk into the mixture. Pour into butter crunch crust and sprinkle crumbs over top. Chill until set. (Mike) Bishop and his bride, the former Miss Marcia Morgan, will be held Saturday, December 9, from I eight to eleven o'clock in the evening even-ing in the Relief Society Room in Hinckley Ward Chapel. A cordial invitation to attend is extended to friends and relatives. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Morgan, of Missoula, Mis-soula, Mont. Mr. Bishop is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Milo Bishop, of Hinckley. Their marriage took place Nov. 25, at Missoula. They will make a home in Salt Lake City, where Mr. Bishop is employed em-ployed with Smith-Faus Wholesale Drug Co. He was recently released after four and a half years service with the U.S. Army, with the rank of sergeant. Both he and his bride will also attend the University of Utah. The gala affair will begin with a luncheon at 1:00 p.m. The gift exchange will give way to a united effort by themselves to enlarge the West Millard Hospital fund by donating do-nating to it rather than exchanging exchang-ing gifts. Cost of the luncheon will be fifty cents each. Fine Arts Guild The Federated Fine Arts Guild met Thursday afternoon at the high school auditorium to hear Miss Ruth Hansen, DHS Librarian, discuss dis-cuss "Getting the Most Out ..of Books." Miss Hansen's discussion was timely, interesting and well presented. Joyce Long, president of the club, announced that the meeting scheduled sched-uled for Dec. 21 has been postponed. post-poned. She also announced that the club members were preparing ready or not the time flies by and the day gels closer. It seems like yesterday 1 wrote Nov. 1st news. Sacrament mooting was attended by a large crowd. We were happy to have Mrs. Al ce Gardner and family home with us. Also Kent and Carol. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth had their young son blessed. He was given the name of Carl William Wil-liam and blessed by his grandfather, grandfath-er, Mr. LeRoy Staheli. Also visiting was a sister of Mrs. Farnsworth's and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Charmer. They also had their daughter, Sharon, confirmed a member of our church. She was confirmed by her father, Mr. Erwin Farnsworth. Jane Loveli was confirmed a member by her father, Mr. Lem Loveli. Wayne Sanford Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Turner was con firmed by Mr. Lem Loveli. Deane Spor was confirmed by her father, Mr. Fay Spor. Mr. and Mrs. Lalhel Callister and family spent the weekend visiting with their families in the northern part of our state. They went to Hyrum, where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert Callister and attended church to see the young son of Robert's receive his name. His name is Robert Shaun. They also drove to Brigham City where they attended another christening of a grand-daughter. The baby is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Callister. Her name is Laura. They visited in Salt Lake with Katheryn Wistensen, also Joann and Newman. New-man. They also saw Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Callister and family. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Roper visited vis-ited in Delta Sunday evening with friends and family.
