She had all her other children home, also her sisters, sis-ters, Hattie, Frankie and Mary and her brother, Bert. Many relatives and friends called to wish her a "Happy Birthday." The Trail Builders and their tea-ers tea-ers had a Skill Show Thursday night which was very interesting. They showed articles they had made also other collections, demonstrations de-monstrations of first aid and other activities of their summer work. Games were played. The parents and teachers taking part were Stake visitors Ruth Steele, Norma Pearson, Dale Bishop and Lois Max-field Max-field were present. About 45 people enjoyed this demonstration of the Trail Builders and their teachers. Cup cakes and punch was served. Our little Indian friend, Clyde Keith is here again for the school year. He is living with the Wilford Sheriff family. This will be his 3rd year with the Sheriff family. The Melvin Roper family have returned to Cedar City for the win ter. Alta and Margaret Alldredge havemoved to Delta for the winter. People of Oak City will miss them. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nielson have been staying with Nancy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nielson. Joe has been helping with the corn and other farm work. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson accompanied ac-companied their son Dean to Fish Lake last week. They report enjoying enjoy-ing a wonderful time. Mrs. Dutson hasn't been too well and it is good to hear she- was able to take the trip! Mr. Sidney Searle of Provo made a business trip to Delta concerning his mining interests. He stopped in Leamington for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson. Meredith Mere-dith and the children didn't come because the children were in chool. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nielson had the old home full of visitors for the celebration. Lucille's mother, Mrs. Orson Crouch, in Richfield, Rich-field, had a heart attack and is still quite bad. Mr. and Mrs. Aralda Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Jones spent the weekend in Los Angeles, Calif. Delbert George Jr. is home from the Delta Hospital and is staying with his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Na-than LaRue. He is able to start school this a.m., but will have to go back to the doctor every day for a while for t r e at m e n t. Mr. George took Mrs. George to Tooele Saturday, from there she will go into Salt Lake today and enter the LDS Hospital for surgery. Certainly wish them the best of luck. Seems like they've had more than their share of illnesses and trouble the last while. Rayma Bradfield and Kent Hughs of Salt Lake stopped in Lynndyl Monday evening. They had been to Fish Lake bow and arrow hunting. They had had a good time, but no deer. Mrs. Dale Tolbert is a patient in the Delta Hospital. I hope I can be on the ball next week and get more news. Mrs. Kenneth Nielson was thrilled to have all her family here this Labor Day. Mrs. Zella Ogden formerly of Leamington has been visiting Mrs. Lillian Hansen in Fairview for a week. Lillian and Zella came to Leamington to visit Mr. William Bradfield, Lillian's father. Zella and her sisters used to entertain at the early celebration and is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nelson. - Stanley Bradfield left Delta last Tuesday for Leeds, Utah, to install a washing plant for United Technical Techni-cal Industries. The plant in Leeds refines copper ore. Mr. Bradfield operated the dragline. He stayed in St. George and while eating at Dicks Cafe had Buffalo steaks which he said were new to him but just delicious. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dean former Arvilla Nielson have been staying in the old Nielson home for a few days. They own the home and enjoy en-joy visiting Kenneth, Jerald, and other members of the family and friends. It is a change to get out of the busy city life and they can take care of their interests. Mrs. Eldon Nielson, Wanda, asked me to please thank all those who were so thoughtful to send the many cards and letters while she was in the LDS Hospital and at home. She will thank each one personally when she sees them, but can't possibly try and write each one. A personal thank you from Wanda is worth waiting for, this I assure you. Wanda is feeling fine. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones stopped to visit Mr. and Mrs. Walker Finlinson Fin-linson Labor Day. Mr. Jones had been hunting deer with a bow and arrow, he had a bad Cold but didn't get a deer. This is becoming a great sport the last few years. Looks like it might be the solution to preserving the wild life, at least until you perfected your aim. Leamington Ward Primary under the leadership of Mrs. Zola Neilsen, Mrs. Lorna Mclntyre and Mrs. Joy Nielson presented the Family Night Program in church. All children primary age participated with special spe-cial parts taken by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson and Mrs. Klee Finlinson. Finlin-son. It was well prepared and all those present enjoyed the services. Jay Quarnberg, husband of Helen Hanson, a Leamington girl, has been called with the National Guard from Tooele to report to Washington for training. He will be gone a year. Mrs. Burton Hanson Han-son reports that Helen and the children are moving to Scipio to be near both families. Helen had a serious illness several years ago and isn't able to take care of her family alone. This is a reminder that our Country isn't as secure as most of us would like to think.
