Clara Kill-pack Kill-pack is a new member of the club. President Evans presided over the business meeting. Roll call was answered an-swered with poems and jokes. (Aunt) Dell Lisonby was present after several months visit in California Cali-fornia and told some of her experiences ex-periences in California. They also visited Estella's sister in Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson drove to Orem where they picked up Mr. and Mrs. Sid Searles and family and then went on to Farmington to spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Nielson. Mrs. Jane Williams returned home Saturday from Tooele where she has been staying with her daughter, Mrs. Grace Bennett who is recovering from surgery. Lovell, Teacher, Dennis Peterson, a Priest, Arnold Talbot and Edwin Olsen and Bruce Lovell. Mrs. Dwain Finlinson, was at Eph raim to be with Judithe for the Institute Services. Mrs. Ruth Olsea'; went also. Norman Olsen was one of the graduates. Mr. Earl Harris is home from the Veterans Hospital. We are happy to report. About forty boys and their fathers, fath-ers, the Bishop and other officers, left Oak City about 6 a.m. Saturday for Topaz Mountains where they ate breakfast and enjoyed lunch and the day together. A very nice play, "Big Brother" was brought to Oak City by the Delta Junior High Monday night. The cast had been well coached and knew their lines, making a very enjoyable evening. Last Tuesday after Relief Society meeting the Deseret ladies came and joined us in a program given by the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Loa Black assisted by Biah Sjostrom and Mrs. Inez Moody presented pre-sented the program. It consisted of a film entitled "Traitor Within" and 'Time and Two Women." A special tribute was given by Mrs. Black to Mrs. Biah Sjostrom who has served in the American Cancer Society for twenty years. A beautiful pin was presented to Biah for her faithful service in the Society. Primary Preparation meeting was held at the home of LaVene Gillen Friday afternoon. Reece and Cherie Finlinson, a lovely girl, May 10 and Austin and Meri-dith Meri-dith Lovell, a fine boy, May 11. Oak City residents were saddened by the death of little Lynette Hall. Our love and sympathy goes out to her parents and grandparents and family. The Shipley family was saddened Monday with news of the death of Dana Dodge, of Salt Lake City. Hurst. John Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Wright received his Duty to God award. John had missed only one day in four years, that was when he had the mumps. So he had 100 lacking one Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting and one Sunday School. Fireside was held In the Relief Society room after church. Saturday afternoon the Bishopric and Aaronic Priesthood leada s took all the boys on an outing to Amassa Valley. They reported having a wonderful time.
