Western of Deseret, Utah. The wedding will take place the latter part of July in the Canadian Latter-day Saint Temple. Miss' Payne is the daughter of JOLLY STITCHERS TO MEET The Jolly Stitchers will meet Friday, Fri-day, April 22, at the Woodrow Hall at 2:30 p.m. An interesting film on cancer will be shown by Mrs. Ward Moody in cooperation with Mrs. Loa Black, Education Chairman of the Cancer Society in West Millard. The hostesses for the meeting will be Mrs. May Wind and Mrs. Trula Abbott. Miss Payne received her schooling school-ing at Taber and Cardston, Alberta, Canada and was later employed at Calgary, prior to fulfilling a mission in the Great Lakes for the Latter-day Latter-day Saint church. She just recently returned from the mission field. Miss Payne is a Golden Gleaner. Mr. Western is a graduate of the Delta High School and the Delta seminary. After graduation he did work as a signalman for the U.P. R.R., then left to fulfill a mission for the church in the Great Lakes mission. Since' returning from his mission he has been attending Snow College at Ephraim. at a dinner Saturday night. ASHBY Newly Weds Visit Delta . Mr. and Mrs. Richard Orran Ash-by, Ash-by, whose marriage vows were said in late January, visited in Delta over the weekend and Easter. The charming bride is the former form-er Miss Lillian Toft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erhard William Toft, of Copenhagen, Denmark. She came to the United States from Denmark eighteen months ago, and has resided re-sided in Los Angeles, where she met Mr. Aslvby aftejp his return from France, where he served thirty months in the French LDS Mission. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby, of Delta and Phoenix, Ariz. The couple were married January 22 in the Mesa, Arizona, Temple, and a reception followed at the Ashby home at Phoenix. After a short honeymoon the new Mr. and Mrs. Ashby are making a home in Los Angeles, where Mr. Ashby attends UCLA. and Mrs. Carl Ivie, from Wyoming with her over the Easter holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Fon Hawley spent several days in Salt Lake last week. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Webb and daughter, Vickie, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Skeem. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Babbitt, from Ogden, were guests of their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Skeem, Sunday. Sun-day.
