Show Millard County Chronicle Thursday, February 25, 1960 S3 .1 1, Jiil. cklcy CLAEA STEWART Early Monday morning I couldn't sleep so I decided to get up ana talk to you. Its funny when you get to the time you don't nave to get up early, that's the time you can't sleep. I went to the Delta Millard game Wednesday night. There is nothing I would rather do than watch a good basketball game and this one was perfect. Maybe I have slowed down, but I have never seen such a fast game. Oh we really have a good team. But what floored me was the way they cheered. We used to take turns in seeing which side could do the cutest yells and one would listen to the other. Not them, they both go at once. One band will be playing a big masterpiece at one end of the gym and when they are half through the other band would start playing an entirely en-tirely different tune louder than they. Now if they both wanted to play at once why couldn't they at least play the same tune. I don't get it. Gee, I never heard such a bedlam. I hope when I die I don't have to go where there Is a noise like that. That would be worse than pitching coal where its hot, but quiet. I forgot to tell you, we won, 72-48, that is what made it so perfect. We also won down to Parowan. Now we are 1st. Isn't that great? Thursday afternoon I went out to the cemetery to pay final respects re-spects to our old friend, Lon Car-don. Car-don. He was a kind, honest, friendly person. Devoted to his family and his God.
