Even some of the young people rode horses to "Fool Creek Peak," reporting a lovely view, some snow and cold weather, but beautiful fall colors and lovely scenery. There was no services Sunday in Oak City, except Junior Sunday School. Most of our people that were able, attended the stake con ference at Delta, The "Rest Home" at Oak City have lost two of their patients: Mrs. Maggie Elder has been re moved to her children's home in Delta. Mrs. Blackburn passed a way last week. Her services were held in Delta. Monday. Our synv pathy goes to the Blackburn fam ily, also, trust Mrs. Elder will be happy In her home at Delta, We - all loved to visit these Sisters. Congratulations, Paul and Joyce Finlinson, on the arrival of your new son, born kept, w, at the Provo hospital. Joyce and little son are home now at their home at Fool Creek. When we reported students a-way a-way to school last week, we misled misl-ed Bryce Finlinson. He is attending attend-ing the BYU this year. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Anderson entertained en-tertained at a lovely chicken dinner din-ner at their home, Sunday, in honor hon-or of Margene's parents, Harold and Helen Anderson. It was their Silver ; Anniversary. Their children I gave them a beautiful floor lamp' and magazine rack, Orpha and her friend were down from Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lovell and sons, David and Keith, visited at Murray and Salt Lake. . Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lovell were in Salt Lake last week for medical medi-cal checkup. . Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Jacobson visited vis-ited few days with their daughter, daugh-ter, Arvilla and family at Park City, and son. Orlan and family at Ogden. Og-den. The Relief Society social and party par-ty that honored Relief Society retiring re-tiring officers was held Monday evening. 57 ladies were present to enjoy the lovely supper and fine program. The new officers did a very fine job, including the lovely table decorations of favors and flowers. We feel sure our Relief Society will be interesting this year with the new officers. Lovely gifts were given to the retiring officers of-ficers for the nice, work they have done. The new officers for this year are, President, Anita Anderson; Ander-son; Counselors, Ann Finlinson and Cloe Alldredge, and Florence Lov ell, secretary. Let's all come out and support these new officers. Margene Anderson will foe our new organist and Meredith Lovell the new chorister. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Talbot and George, spent a few hours in Oak City, Friday. They were on their way from St. George to Ogden, to visit their daughter, Glenda and family and help with the blessing of their little new daughter, to be named Janith Ann, Sunday at Fast Meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Mar low Anderson were in Salt Lake Saturday and Sunday. They returned her sister's children to their home in Salt Lake, after a week at the Anderson home. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Shipley were in Provo Sunday with the Glen Christensen family. They also call ed at the Lee Shipley home at (Mapleton. Mr. and Mrs. Meldon Anderson left Saturday, for McGilL Nevada, to spend 10 days. Mrs. Hulda Anderson is in Calif., visiting. She went with her son, Carlos and wife. Mr. Eddy Anderson is visiting in Oak City with his brothers and sisters. sis-ters. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson visited vis-ited in Mapleton last week, Sunday Sun-day they visited at Fillmore, and attended the stake conference. Arnold Talbot, Gerald and Walter Wal-ter Peterson were in Salt Lake Friday Fri-day and Saturday, visiting. Mrs. Esther Christensen had her daughter, Verona and family visit' ing Sunday. Cancer Society, wishes to extend thanks and their deep appreciation of the consideration and many hours of work that have been given by West Millard women in prepar- gan, they especially thank the ladies la-dies of Lynndyl, the Jolly Stitchers Club, and all those who donated materials. Their aid is valued greatly. Mr. and Mrs. Mllo Tullli, of 63-den, 63-den, spent Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day with Mr. and Mrs. Don T. Bishop, Bis-hop, at Delta. They and two daughters daugh-ters recently returned from an LDS mission in Hawaii.
