Show Millard County Chronicle Thursday, June 12, 1958 By INEZ RIDING- Instead of saying "Thank You" for many favors received, we used to say "I'll dance at your next wedding". - Now that really puts me in a .spot, we just moved, not all of the boxes are unpacked, I'm trying to get weeds cut, rose bushes and trees trimmed, and a lot of "Next wedding dances" to practice for. - Looks as if I'll be dancing at Speed Riding's next wedding Sterling Ster-ling Spencer's Pat Dalton's, lone Hollingshead's Bonnie Vest's and Coach Allred's Now to you good people alone if my dancing looks as if I'm dancing around a bush or a tree, don't let looks fool you! I am! For that may be the only way 1,11 get any practice in. I'll have to admit that I really 1 4 yvf i III 6 iff. V... j u jam. THE MILDER BOURBON .Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 6 Yrs. Old 86 Proof Ancient Age Dist. Co.. Frankfort, Ky. don't need much practice. That one left foot has to 'be brought under control, thaf's all. Have you a need for two magpies? mag-pies? They make lovely pets, so quiet, you know. All you have to do is to pay for this add and the two are yours. Due to techinal difficulties beyond be-yond our control, we must find good homes for them. They answer to the names of Heckle and Jeckle, Real cute. Not one thing wrong with the way Pop Riding moves you. He not only packs your belongings and hauls them to another place, he feeds you, too When I look at Marge and Ken-nard's Ken-nard's new baby, I can think that I'm looking at one of ours. Must say that the baby of theirs is a little bit cuter than the magpies. But, I guess they aren't in any hurry to find a new home for her! Pulling White Top by hand is kinda like pulling radishes for the market. The only difference being you don't put them in a bundle of twenty-five and sell them for five cents. It's a funny thing about pulling either one. You bend over all ambitious am-bitious like and really work for thirty minutes or so. Soon you are down on your knees, then before you realize it you are sitting down and scooting along on 'father's Dau fecials PLATFORM ROCKERS. ... 24.95 up RECLIHO'S ......... 59.95 up VITH VIBRATOR 74.95 up CAMP EQUIPMENT SPORTING GOODS FISHING TACKLE HUNTING SUPPLIES LAWN FURNITURE .... 10 OFF! And soon you don't care whether the darned things get finished or not. - Did you ever eat a radish on an empty stomach? Kinda nauseating, nauseat-ing, isn't it? And did you ever eat cold corn-bread corn-bread spread with mustard and little green onions? I can only recommend that for twelve or thirteen-year-olds. And to them, conditionally. You have to be just coming home from somewhere, very hungry, and that being the first thing you can find to eat. Then it is edible. Is our five-year-old sitting on top of the world? Kindergarten. I think every five-year-old that we have had gets bigger than the one before, When Bob started to school, I thought "Oh, you are too little." Lynette"s turn came and she looked look-ed just right to be sending to school. Now comes Myrna's turn and I've been thinking for six months now "Why aren't you in school, too!!" Poor Kris. I'll probably try to sneak her in at four and a half. Wherefore art thou, Oh, Patience. When I need you most you completely com-pletely elude me. There are those times when I say to the children "I love you". And I don't know I'U I'm trying to convince them or me. It's a funny thing, about this part of the Greatest You-Know-What. My problems and trials and happy hap-py times are so very similar to other mothers. They have told rne so. When I mentioned about bare-feet bare-feet for me I found that I'm not the only person in town that feels that my age should make a difference. dif-ference. To Phyllis Munster I'm still wearing my shoes, are you? To Hatch Farnsworth R e a d some where that the most important impor-tant figure in any neighborhood, is the father of a little league pitcher. Is there any truth in it? 0 Pretty soon now Bob's whiskers will be long enough to put pincurls in. I've talked about my family so much that you "all surely must j know them. Think I'll start in on the Riding family now. When Bob and I were engaged and my own townsfolk learned that he was from Utah, I took much kidding about being his seventh sev-enth wife etc. The first time I ever saw Mom Riding was in Salt Lake. She had j never seen a picture of me, yet when I stepped off the train she came to me, hugged and kissed me and said " I hope you're who I think you are." Met Betty for the first time then, too. She was wearing a beautiful red dress, and black sling pumps. Met Bonnie in Springville at Aunt Glenna's and had to come to Delta to meet Kennard. He is real nuts sometimes, you know. He and I sat up til the wee hours of the morning while he gave a demonstration on how to open and shut kitchen cabinets. I laughed until my ears hurt. He is quite large to be climbing in and out of cabinets. And shutting doors and such. To those of you that aren't acquainted ac-quainted with Kennard he is only tiny, six-feet plus. From Mryna comes this sage remark re-mark "mama, why does God make weeds?" When I wasn't quick j enough to answer, she said "Oh, I know. That s to keep us busy, and stuff like that." Maybe she isn't too far wrong, at that. CLASSIFIED ADS j V ,,.vfr"' I V'':'V.M,-V,.uin,,,n,,,pHn..'''",'','',','' j-- 's Herel See Yah.
