One of the highlights of the Senior Church Softball games being played Friday and Saturday nights was the no-run, no-hit game the Delta 2nd ward pitcher, Mac Shields credited to his record as he faced 12 men In 4 innings and retired them In that order, 1-2-3; 1-2-3. Also worthy of mention Is Gene "Strawberry" Walker, chucker for Sutherland Ward. Gene pitched a no-run game- Saturday night, giv ing up only one hit, that being to Bob McCardell early In the first inning, as Sutherland defeated Leamington 5 to 0. Mac's shut-out of 18 to 0 was also against Leam ington ward. Everything went according to schedule last week with the ex ception of the Delta 2nd - Deseret game which fell in the "upset" class. Deseret having lost all of their games and Delta 2nd winning all theirs, prior to their meeting Saturday night ment nothing as these two. wards battled it out With bases loaded, Ronald Theo bald of Deseret stepped to the plate and knocked a home run to win the ball game.
