Here for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson and 3-months old daugh ter, Elizabeth Ann, of Los Angeles, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Andrus and three children, from Boise, Idaho Mrs. Joyce Watson and two of her family of five, from Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. David Judd and 1-month 1-month old son, David Paul, from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Wellington and three children, child-ren, of Orem, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Judd and son Tommy of Sutherland. Abraham Mrs. Alton Fullmer Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cook, of Evanston, Wyo., were recent Delta visitors, witth Mrs. Cook's brothers and sisters. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Sanford, Mrs. Dee Sanford and Mr. and Mrs. Brown Sanford. A family party durine their overnight stay was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brown Sanford. 0 X. Elladene Corbett and little girls and I visited the Hinckley cemetery ceme-tery as we were unable to go on memorial day. Planted some hardy plants and hope they will grow. Noticed plenty others of the same kind growing there. The fishing season has opened and many families are fishing this weekend. We hear they aren't biting bi-ting too good but Clark Bliss got his quota down Fish Lake way. Reva Bliss badly hurt her hand in the car door, had to have It treated by the doctor. They were fishing with the Blaine Robinsons of Hinckley. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Bennett of Reams, (Colona Petersen) visited the Clifferd Petersens Thursday. A surprise birthday party for Erma Petersen was held Thursday night, with relative and family attending. The Bennetts went to Holden to visit Wilford's folks Saturday. Mr. Frank Alme of San Jose, California, Cal-ifornia, visited the Petersens from Tuesday till Friday this week. The Abraham 4-H'ers organized with Jill Johnson, Pres.; Vice Pres. Genlel Fullmer; Sec. & Treas. Julia Ann Bliss, Reporter, Helen Marie Stoneking; Song leader, Wanda Lee Tolbert; Leader, Phyllis Johnson. John-son. Cooking will be studied. Next meeting at the Johnson home, on Tuesday, June 4 at 3 o'clock. Mrs. June Reid has been having trouble with an abscessed ear. Jack Reid is in the hills with his cattle, as also are the Alva Youngs situating the cattle for the summer an the range. The two sons, Bobble and Vicky, of Max's sister, Mrs. Henery Lund, of Bountiful, are spending the weekend at the Holbrook ranch. "Susie" the little 23 year old Shetland pony of the Sherman Tolbert Tol-bert family died this week and all the kids in town mourned. They have all had rides and lots of fun with her. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Young spent Friday in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Luena Fullmer got word that her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Max Riding, are proud parents of a baby boy. A family party was held Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Baker, at Deseret, attended by Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Will ard Christensen and Mrs. Mary Taylor. On May 18 they were In Kamloops, Canada, for the golden wedding party of Mrs. Underbill's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. IL Harden, for whom Mr. and Mrs. Underhill, then not yet married, were attendants at their wedding fifty years ago. Coming home through Washington and Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Underhill Under-hill visited other members of their family, and visited a niece and husband in Idaho. Lt. William Sterley, U.S.A.F., and wife, Helen 'iu.ner Starley, are spending several weeks In Delta with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Starley and Mr. and Ms. R. L. Turner. Lt. Starley has triple rating, as pilot, navigator and bom bardler, and is en route to Walker A.F.B., Roswell, N. M., where he will be with S.A.C., as B47 pilot. He and Mrs. Starley have been at Waco, Texas, where he completed his navigator and bombardier training. Rex Clarldge, recently released ! frm tho T! S Air Force, where he served as first lieutenant and pilot, is in Delta to spend the summer with his father, T. A. Claridge. Mrs. Wanda Beckwith and children, child-ren, Susan, Mary Jane, Deborah and Frank Collins, took the train from Delta Wednesday, on their way to San Francisco, Cal., and will visit Mrs. Beckwith's sister, Mrs. Utahna Lytle, and family, at Piedmont. Gay has filled a num ber of singing engagements on different programs during the past year. Her mother, Mrs. Neva P. Robinson, is the new president of the M.I.A. at Elko, and also gives art lessons once at week at the Art Club. Homer Petersen and daughter, Kathie, attended the Intermount- ain Quarterhorse show held at Payson recently, and Mr. Petersen ( entered his registered quarterhorse mare, Katie Star, who won first In her class and reserve champion among the fifty-five mares in the show. Mr. and Mrs. Allen at tended the exercises Friday night. Virginia will return in a few days to San Francisco, Cal., where she is employed for the summer. Airborne visitors at Delta last week were Dr. Ray Lamb, Mrs. Lamb, and three of their family of six, Janet, Danny, and Terry, 3- weeks old. They were flying from their home at Casa Grande, Ariz., to Ogden, where Dr. Lamb attend ed the medical convention. They landed at the Delta airport Wed nesday for breakfast with Dr. Lamb's sister, Mrs. Homer Peter sen, and family, and returned again Saturday for 'breakfast on their flight home. Miss Dorothy Thomas spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas. She will graduate from Hollywood beauty college June 17. Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Ward. Deltans now at Phoenix, Ariz., are Delta visitors this week, while Mr. Ward does some fishlne in Utah. Over the weekend he was at Panguitch Lake with Cecil Baker, Scott Ches- lev. N. S. Bassett Keith Dalton and Spencer Wright, hardy Delta anglers. Mrs. Price is making a rapid recovery from an unusual and delicate heart operation which proved highly successful. Other Deltans In fine health after heart surgery are Mrs. Agnes Allen and Wallace Church. 'Mr. and Mrs. George A. Sampson were visited for Memorial Day by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Don Sampson and daughter JoAnn, of Carson City, Nev., Mr. and Mrs. John M. Anderson and family, of Kearns, Utah, and Kenneth, who has been at Dixie College for the winter. Kenneth has now gone for the summer to work for Utah Con struction Co., at Bingham Canyon. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Don Hardman, of Salt Lake City, and daughter, Linda, spent Sunday in Delta with Mr. Hardman's aunt, Mrs. Ray Skinner.
