We busy ourselves with the things of everyday life that bring us the most joy; that of giving and of forgetting ourselves in the joy of service ser-vice to others. Truly the spirit of Christmas is the spirit of gratitude grat-itude for the things that our Heavenly Father has given to us. We have reaped the harvest of good crops in the face of limited watar supply. We are blessed with the security of a good land and good leaders both in the nation and in our church. We know and can feel nothing of the pain of hunger and fear that is rampant ram-pant in our neighbor countries. We are grateful that we live in the land choice above all others, where manis free that he may worship and give thanks to The Eternal God. "Peace on earth," the angels sang, and yet the actions of all the nations seem to mock the hallowed strains of music that announced an-nounced the birth of the Prince of Peace. "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." We of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints know , that peace, on earth can only be accomplished by strict observance obser-vance to the commandments of The Son of God, the man whose birthday we are commemorating this season of the year. The members of the Stake Presidency wish to convey their best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to each "and everyone, and to express their thanks for the cooperation coopera-tion and love that is expressed by your faithful observance to the laws of God.
