Tuesday was another work MAJtT JOHHSOlf Mrs. Ruth Bowers drove to Salt Lake Tuesday for the day. Mrs. Emogene Larsen, her three childern and Miss Denece Great-house Great-house drove up from California and spent last week here with the Fred Greathouse family. Mrs. Great house has been .home the past two weeks but returned to Salt Lake Sunday where she entered Holy Cross hospital for this week. The Californians left to return to their home Saturday. The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Great-house Great-house was taken to Salt Lake City Wednesday for medical treatment He is also a patient at the Holy Cross. Mrs. Greathouse is in Salt Lake at this time. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gunn and daughter Rosemary have been visiting visi-ting relatives here in the Bee Hive state the past week. They enjoyed several days at Fish Lake with family members. Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Nielson returned to Provo to get located in their new location. They will be residents on the campus when Merrill returns to school. He left Friday for summer camp at Spokane, Washington. Mrs. Nielson and little son are with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cutler Henrie, and family, at Sutherland. Miss Dian King was taken home by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Greathouse when they made a trip to the city. Dian has been at the Greathouse ihome for two weeks. Mr. iLnd Mrs. Earl Greathouse were in Salt Lake t Saturday for M.I. A. conference. Sunday they attended a Shepe"rd family reunion at Provo. Don, Vona Lue and Gregg joined them on Sunday. Mrs. Lucille Johnson was in Salt Lake over the weekend with her daughter JoAnn, and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McMahn. Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins and daughter Enla, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Overson drove to Salt Lake for the dance festival in which Enla took part. As it was not held on" Friday they waited over to see it Saturday returning home after. Bishop Wayne Banks came down from Salt Lake after leaving a group of young people, he had brought in from Gallup, New Mexico, Mex-ico, for the M.I.A. conference. Saturday, Sat-urday, he took his father, J. A. Banks and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen and children to Miners-ville Miners-ville for a Banks' reunion. Mr. and Mrs. DeLong Banks and children joined them there for the day. Sunday, they were all here for the day and Miss Gladys Banks came down from Salt Lake and Mrs. Maurine Miller and family, of MI1- ford came up also. Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nielson had I their sons, Ivie J. Gary and Leon home over the weekend. A group visited at the Guy Sheriff home Saturday and Sunday, Mrs. Sheriff and daughters of Provo and Mr. and Mrs. Olen Sheriff and family of Centerville. Miss Hazel Overson and Mrs. Dian Durrant and Catherine, drove here from San Francisco, arriving Saturday morning for a two weeks stay at their parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Overson's home. Mrs. Nada Simpson was In Salt Lake for conference. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Tolbert and children drove down from Tooele for a weekend visit here and in Delta. Visitors at the Herbert Abegglen home from St. Anthony, were Mr. and Mrs. Ostermiller and children and Mrs. Mabel Hobbs. They were here over night Frilday then went on to California Saturday. Mrs. Clarence Hogan was taken to Salt Lake City Monday, where she will have surgery at the LDS hospital. Her daughter, Mrs. Bob Chambers has been here the past week with her. Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Hogan were happy to have their son and family, come from Los Aneeles. to be with them In Salt Lake. Miss Susan Nielson underwent eye surgery In Salt Lake Friday and Is at the St. Marks hospital. She was taken to the city bv her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Nielson, Niel-son, who are remaining with her for this very serious operation. Mrs. Josephine Sudbury is here with the other children while their parents are away. Miss Linda Wilkins Is In Richfield Rich-field with her sister Mrs. Barbara Anderson, and family, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Talbot came down from Mldvale and got their two sons, Keith and Gordon, who have been with their grandparents for two weeks. Miss LaRae Shipley and Miss Linda Mills went to Salt Lake Monday afternoon for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dutson and family. Mrs. Iva Howlett and small daughter, came over from Kanosh Sunday and took Mrs. Rhea What-cott What-cott to Provo where she will attend Leadership Week at the Y, and j visit with her daughter Clea. and family. Sui!arvill VENICE DAVIS Mr. and Mrs. George Jenson and Carol made a trip to Spanish Fork Sunday and spent Father's Day with their children, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jenson and family and also Thelma Jenson. They returned Sunday Sun-day night and brought Jeanne back with them. Jeanne danced in the Dance Festival inthe M.I.A. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Memmott, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Losee, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Losee and Bishop Harold Jensen attended the Genealogical Gen-ealogical meeting in Fillmore on Sunday. Miss Virginia Jensen spent the week in Salt Lake City visiting her sister Maurine, and brother Ralph Jensen. Elden Shurtz and ryaie Johnson made a trip to Salt Lake City to attend the Mutual activities there. Rufus Clark made a trip to Las Vegas to take a new Chevrolet car to his daughter Phyllis, who met him there. Rufe returned home on the bus. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Ivie went with theiir son Rodney to the Salt Lake Temple on Friday. A lovely reception was given Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Ivie at the Stake House on Saturday night. Mrs. Leo Davis has returned from Salt Lake City on Saturday, where she has been caring for her daughter June, she is getting along very nicely now. Mr. and Mrs. Russell McBride accompanied her home and stayed over Father's Day. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Losee and son Virgil, made a trip to Salt Lake City, attending conference and visiting relatives. The M.I.A. had a party on the "Hard Pan" Tuesday night. A large crowd was out to feast on "Hot Dogs" and all the trimmings. Mr. and Mrs. Manly Abbott and family have been visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Abbott and Mr. and Mrs. Mel Terry. Mr. and Mrs. George Abbott are visiting in Manti for a few days. Mrs. Laverne Terry is in Provo taking care of her mother Mrs. Annie Miller, who has just left the hospital. Mrs. Mildred Oppenhiemer spent the night with her friend, Mrs. Henrietta Barben. Mrs. Faye Clark entertained for her husband's birthday last week. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Clark, Mr and Mrs. Ken Clements, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Oppenheimeranr Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Clark. Ralph Jensen has been transfer red to Idaho Falls for the summer. We wish him success in his change Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jensen and family have moved to Delta to be close to his work. They have moved in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Jeffery. High Councilman Walter Ekins brought the program for Sunday night. Talks were given by Ronald Jensen and Walter Ekins on the Restoration of the Melchizedek Priesthood. Songs were given by Dale Bliss, "The Lord's Prayer," and two songs by Erma Cropper, "The Spirit of God" and "In the Garden". A large crowd was in attendance to hear a fine program. Sandra Terry is visiting in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Manly Abbott and family for a few weeks. The Relief Society had a quilting Tuesday. John Hersleff entertained at a supper for his daughter Kathryn, arid family. IdtTtLit Arprilla Scow Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher visited vis-ited last Tuesday at Scipio with relatives. Jackie Black was hostess to the Deseret Rook Club at her home on Wednesday evening. Luncheon was served after which one high Rook was played. Members present were Mae Cropper, Evah Conk, Lucile Sampson, Deloras Stanworth, Bes sie Webb. Guests were Vada Van, Martha Mace, Roma Thomas and Lenora Bunker. Lois Eliason returned home Sunday Sun-day after having spent the past week at Spanish Fork with her daughter and son-in-law, Glen and Genevieve Larson. Millie Dewsnup is spending the week in Salt Lake City where she is receiving medical care. Mrs. Elaine De Grood and children, child-ren, Janice, Dennis, Patty, from Ogden Og-den spent a week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Van Warnick. They also visited relatives. Our deepest sympathy is extended exten-ded to the Palmer family with the passing of Brother Palmer. Funeral services were held Monday morning. All his grandchildren and great grendchildren were here for the funeral also his brothers and sisters. After the services lunch was served at the home of Clayton Clay-ton Palmer for all relatives and those from out of town. Mr. and Mrs. Barth Beaugard and daughter and son from Dugway spent the week end with Mrs. Ines Damron. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Allred and children from Provo, visited over the week end at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Allred.- Richard Dewsnup from Salt Lake City visited Saturday and Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lay-ton Lay-ton Dewsnup. Mrs. Maud Reid from California is visiting with her sister, Mrs. Ev-va Ev-va Croft and brother Elmer Ca-hoon. Ca-hoon. Eva Alice Robison who Is attending at-tending the Hollywood Beauty School at Salt t-ake City spent several sev-eral days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wells Robison. Mrs. Darlene Wade and girls from Salt Lake City are visiting this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cahoon and children from Las Vegas, Nevada visited Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bennett. Grant Western from Salt Lake City Visited the first of the week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Western. Mrs. Masea Cropper returned home Saturday after having spent the past two weeks in Salt Lake. Arprilla D. Scow went to Salt Lake City Saturday where she attended at-tended June Conference. Mrs. Vilate Maxfield has spent the past week in California visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Hyatt. Mrs. Hyatt is the former Virginia Maxfield. The Five Kitchen Kuties Our last two 4-H meetings have been held at the home of Mrs. Willard Stephenson, our Ass't. Leader. All members have been oresent at the meetings held June 14 and 18. We have been learning how to make milk drinks and sandwiches. Our next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Stephenson June 25th.
