Wright will attend Leamington Leam-ington PTA meeting to discuss the school bond election issue. The meeting is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on January 23 in the school house. The details of building and remodeling re-modeling projects to be covered by the proposed issue will be discussed, discuss-ed, as well as facts concerning the election. Everyone is urged to attend. Kenneth Nielson was appointed Millard county Irrigation water board member, from the district, comprised of Leamington, Fool Creek, Mclntyre Investment Co. and Oak City water users. The meeting was held at Fool Creek flat, Wednesday night with representatives repre-sentatives from each Irrigation Company attending. Bill Mclntyre was named as alternate. Stanley Bradfield, Y. M.M.I. A. counselor and Walker Finlinson took the Boy Scouts of Troop No. 149 to Delta for hambergers and the show. The boys who attended were Elmo Nielson, Niel Finlinson, Jay Grygla. LaVell Bradfield and Kay Lovell. Mr. Ed Campbell of Foool Creek flat has visitors from Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. They are his nephew, Mr. Tom Campbell, Mrs. Tom Camp bell and her father. Mr. Wm. Bradfield celebrated his 76th birthday with turkey dinner and all the trimmings. Guest attending at-tending were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Parley Elder, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradfield and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield. The evening was spent viewing Stanley's Stan-ley's motion picture films and in visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bradfield spent Tuesday the 9th in the Mantl Temple doing temple work. Leamington Irrigation Co. had their annual stock holders' meeting The following were elected to serve the coming year: Glen Roper as president; Richard Nielson, vice-president, vice-president, Kenneth Nielson, sec'y., Jerald Lovell and Grant Overson, board members. At the Millard County meeting held in Delta Wednesday night, a committee to plan and supervise the Millard County Fair was chosen. Floyd Bradfield was appointed ap-pointed representative from the comprising Oak City, Lynndyl and Leamington. The Fair is to be held in Deseret again this year. Rich Finlinson represented Leamington town board at the meeting. Robert Gryn'a was home from his Job in Bingham to visit his folks, Thursday and Friday. Otto Eldon (Bud) Nielson was called to w'ork Wednesday at Bingham. Bing-ham. His mother, Mrs. Eldon Nielson Niel-son and Mrs. Randall Bradfield accompanied him to Salt Lake and stayed the night, returning home Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. John Evans were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Harder Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Dutson spent Sunday in Mayfield visiting with Lilace Christensen. Senior girls of Leamington, Jo Ann Bradfield, Inez and Annette Nielson and Shirley Grygla had a slumber party at Shirley's grandmothers, grand-mothers, Mrs. Essie Anderson. Cheryl Che-ryl Greathouse, Janice Nielson and friends Joined in the fun for a-while.. a-while.. Around mid-night the ice box was raided to build dagwood sandwiches. Eva Eradfield, daughter Joan, her mother, Mrs. Parley Elder and two sisters, Emily and Ruby, drove into Salt Lake City to do Geneo-logy Geneo-logy work and shop. Stake visitors in MIA Jan. 10th were Mrs. Dee Stevens, Shelia Ogden and Frank Bishop. They visited in Junior Gleaner and M-Men M-Men classes. Mrs. Burton Hanson was selected as Stake Co-Pilot leader at the stake board meeting Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. Essie Anderson left Saturday Satur-day for Provo, where she will stay with her daughter Rosalee, and sons, Ray and Don, for the remainder re-mainder of the winter. Miss Margene Finlinson, daughter daugh-ter of Wm. HEBER ROSE Mrs. Lyle Morgan returned to her home Saturday afternoon, after a week's stay with her daughter, Mrs. William Parker and family at Gandy. Mr. and Mrsr. Parker accompanied ac-companied her home and stayed over until Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Anderson (Ruth Jackson) and children, Brent and Janet, spent Saturday with their relatives in Sutherland. Delia and Max Johnson, Maxine and James Owens, and Bernard and Nella Jackson, and their families. Merrill Johnson attened the game at Provo last week and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Johnson attended the DHS vs. Parowan game a Paro-wan Paro-wan last week. Mrs. Virginia Robinson visited with her parents on Thursday afternoon. aft-ernoon. She made the trip up from Cedar City with Tony Stephenson, Ila Rae Stephenson and Gene Hol-man Hol-man in the college suburban. Miss Ivone Ogden and Mr. W. Dwight Miller were vistors over the weekend with Ivone's parenes, Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Max Johnson were visitors in Salt Lake City on Friday. Fri-day. They visited with their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. George R. Jackson. Jack-son. Geniel Barney was here to spend the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Barney and Allen. Mr. and Mrrs. Meith Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ogden and Beth and families visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Armond Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. John Ahlstrom of Nevada were vistors here Sunday. It's surely good to see our old friends fri-ends back to visit us again. Phillip Moody made his regular trip home to spend the weekend with his family. Mr. and Mrs. John Wind have gone to Calilfornia to spend a week or two with their daughter, Mrs. Mildred Rector and family. The program furnished by the spent Jan. 11th in Holden, the occasion being the birthday of Lila Badger, a sister of Mr. Bradfield. They had dinner and spent a very enjoyable day. Mrs. Lloyd Evans and Mrs. Rodney Rod-ney Martin visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Evans Sunday. Emma Nielson's guests for the weekend were her two daughters Barta Davis and Mrs, Frank Dean, the former Arvilla Evans. Mrs. Randall Bradfield is spending spend-ing the week with her husband, who is at work on the railroad in Caliente, Nevada. Word was received from the Fay Fieldings of Payson, former residents resi-dents of Leamington, that Bonnie Joan is attending her 3rd quarter at BYU. Barbara is working at the Utah Valley hospital and sporting an engagement ring. No date set as yet. Jack Nielson, son of Kenneth Nielson, and Max, son of Fred Nielson, were home from the College Col-lege of Southern Utah, for the weekend. After 3H years of Junior Sunday School coordinator, Edith Harder has asked to be released. Her work has been highly successful and is certainly appreciated by members of this ward. Jean Bradfield Brad-field has been selected as new coodinator. Mrs. Hansine Lovell is in the IDS hospital in Salt Lake City. She underwent major surgery Jan. 13th. Her daughter Zola. Mrs. John M. Nielson and sons, Welby and Jerald, were with her Friday and Friday night, LaForge and Louise drove up to stay with her Saturday and Saturday night. They all report re-port she is progressing as well as can be expected. Meet Me at Mutual, a good program is outlined for Jan. 31 featuring. "This is your Life." Mr. and Mrs. Bud McCann drove to Springville Sunday to visit Mrs. McCann's brother, Mr. Willy Lovell, and his family. Mr. and Mrs. James W. Neilsen, now living in Tooele, were down to visit Sunday with his brother. Bishop John M. Neilsen and family, they also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hanson. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. H. Williams had callers Sunday. Mr. Williams' sister, Mrs. Chase, and her husband from Nephi. Dern Williams stopped into see his folks on his way home to Fillmore from Provo. He had taken his father-in-iaw. Mr. Carling, In to an eye specialist. Mr. Carling remained in the hospital. Bishop John M. Neilsen and Ray Johnson were the speakers in Sunday Sun-day night service. Elaine Johnson played a piano solo. Next Sunday night the Srake Missionaries will present the program. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Talbot of Oak City, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Skeem of Oasis, made the trip with them. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh J. Judd of Kimberly, Nevada, spent several days with their parents, the Hugh Judd Sr.'s and the Nelse Brumleys. Louise Stevens and two children Elva and Johnny of Kimberly, visited visi-ted in Hinckley, visiting the Carters Car-ters and the Stevens. Coach and Mrs. Dean Stringham and son, of Tooele, were Hinckley visitors, Sunday. Coalesce Club Betty Jane Morris was hostess to the Coalesce Club on Thursday. Arlene Talbot gave a book report re-port on "Full of Life." Members present were Dorothy Spencer, Betty Jane Morris, Orpha Taylor, Arlene Talbot, Joann Stewart, Stew-art, Vera Stevens, Beth Brownj Joy Hurst, Wanda Johnson, Berniece Palmer and Dellma Galli. The ward show this week will be "Go Man Go," with Dane Clark and the Harlem Globe Trotters. Mrs. Letitia Wilkins passed away Sunday afternoon, She had been ill for several weeks. Robert Wright is home on leave from the Air Force, with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Wright Mrs. La Verne Theobald visited in Provo during the week with her brother, Evan Croft, who is recovering recov-ering from a recent operation, and has resumed teaching at the "Y' BYU last Thursday night was really real-ly outstanding and the banquet served by the Oasis ward was very good. It seemed that everyone there enjoyed a pleasant evening. Dale Johnson was here Sunday from the BYU. The weather has been slightly blustery the last two or three days but the sudden change from the much enjoyed mildness is welcomed wel-comed because of the much needed need-ed moisture. We just can't expect to have things run so smoothly all of the time. Mae Thornton informs us that Rex is employed in Salt Lake City where he is working with his brother, bro-ther, Max. Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Mecham, Sherrie and Ronnie spent the week end with the Ivo Ogdens. The stake MIA Maids and Explorers Ex-plorers were entertained at the Delta Second ward recreation hall last Tuesday evening. They were all Made to enjoy the spirit of dancing and fun and partook of refreshments of cookies and punch furnished by the Second ward MIA Maids and Explorers. The Sunday evening program was furnished by High Councilman Eldon El-don Eliason. The music was by the Sutherland Youth Choir. Mrs. Eliason Eli-ason gave a talk "To Do The Things at Hand." People who resign re-sign themselves to the rocking chair get old fast. Many people who have passed the age of 70 five -have mad? their lives so useful. use-ful. They attended the ball game Saturday Sat-urday night when BYU defeated Wyoming.
