Miss Kathryn Pace, from Salt Lake City, visited over the weekend week-end in Delta with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Pace. She returned home on Saturday. Mrs. Mary Freer has had her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCardell, here from Cupertina, California. They arrived Tuesday and were here thru the week. At present they are visiting in Tooele and Salt Lake, but will return later for an additional visit. Wednesday evening a P.T.A. meeting was held at the school house. President Glenna Roper was in charge of the meeting. A group discussion was carried on under the direction of Howard Nielson. Thirty-six parents were present. Light refreshments were served. Mrs. Eleanor Nielson and Mrs. Marilyn Nielson and children drove to Fillmore Sunday afternoon for a visit with relatives there. Mrs. Minnie Ashby returned with them as far as Oak City, where she will visit for some time with her sister Mrs. Mamie Anderson. Thursday, Mr. and Mrs. Phill Nielson drove to Spanish Fork, where Phill received medical aid. Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nielson and son Glenn, spent the day Thursday in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Jacobs and family drove down from Stockton for the day, Friday, with Mrs. Mina Oversoon. Among the many hunters to come to this area for the big day were Mr. and Mrs. Ian McKellar and family, Warren and Doug McKellar. Mc-Kellar. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Talbot were home over the weekend, also at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Talbot. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eckery of Salt Lake visited Mr. and Mrs. Irvln Whatcott while on their way to Delta for the hunt and a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Stephenson. Step-henson. Mrs. Gladys Banks received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Kate Haywood in Panguitch, last Wednesday. She was the mother of Mrs. Bessie Judd of Delta. Mrs. Banks was unable to attend the funeral. Miss Gladys Banks was down from Salt Lake over the weekend with her family. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Judd visited here Sunday afternoon. after-noon. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen, Rex and Adele went to Las Vegas, over the weekend, where they spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Banks. Miss Shirley Sheriff is down from Provo for a few days visiting friends. High Councilman Ted Bennett was here Sunday evening with the program for church. He had with him, Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Johnson. They sang two numbers and their accompanist was Miss Ann Henrie. They all three gave talks. Mrs. Bennett came with her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nielson and daughter Alalne, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Thurlo Wiley over the weekend, from Salt Lake. Mrs. Nada Simpson drove to Provo Thursday. Mrs. Rachel Simpson Simp-son was able to leave the hospital and Nada stayed at the Simpson home until Mrs. Beth Thompson arrived from California, Sunday. We are all happy Mrs. Simpson is recovering from surgery so nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Tolbert and children, and friends, Mr. and Mrs. Keith- Pederson and youngsters, drove down from Tooele, Saturday for a day of hunting. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson. John-son. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Rodman left Tuesday for a visit with their Las Vegas friends, from there they will go to Colorado to visit a daughter and family. Tuesday in the election, Keith Nielson was the new councilman elected, replacing Lou Thompson. Reed Nielson was held over for a second term. Some of the livestock men from this area took in the stock show at Ogden, Sunday. Jerry Nielson and sons, Eric and Wardell, and Jack Nelson. Jerry and sons returned re-turned Monday to bring home the stock they purchased. Miss Susan Nielson, Miss Vona Lue Greathouse and Miss Emogene Nielson were home from Provo over the weekend. . Glenna and Stanley Knight of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with Glenna's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Theobald. Raina and Carlos Bishop and children, James, Bruce, Sonya and Dorene of Cedar City, were Hinckley Hinck-ley visitors at the home of Raina's sister Orpha, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor, and Carlos' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop. George and Bertha Barton and sons Larry and Stephen Love, of Midvale, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Talbot and son Jerry, of Magna, visited Mr. and Mrs. Loren Talbot over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hepworth of Provo, spent a few days visiting the Orlando Hepworths. Mrs. Jerry Brinkerhoff of Flowell spent several days with her mother Olelta Larsen, at Hinckley. Niel Larsen spent Monday in Povo, to enlist In the U. S. Navy for two years. Sacrament Meeting The Sacrament meeting Sunday night was under the direction of the High Council, with Clark Bishop Bish-op of Oasis, presiding. The choir and congregation sang, "Guide Us, O Thou Great Redeemer." Redee-mer." Opening prayer by Hugh Judd. The choir sang "Lord, Thou Wilt Hear Me." and Lynda Lovell and La Veda Bishop sang, "Teach Me To Pray." Loren Ferre, a member of the Tabernacle Choir for the past 14 years, spoke on the choir's recent trip to Europe. The object of his talk was to appreciate your station in life. "No matter how little you have, it is more than double what they have in Europe." ; The closing song by the choir was "The Lord Is My Shepherd." The closing prayer was by Harold R. Morris. Prelude and postlude music was played by Orpha Taylor. Out of town visitors to meeting were Mr. and Mrs. Loren Ferre, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop, Howard Hunsaker, Linda Mills, Lynda Lovell, Lov-ell, Leon Nielson, Blaine Nielson and Gordon Shipley. Coalesce Club Bemice Palmer was hostess to the Coalesce Club Thursday evening even-ing at the Palmer home. A book report, "The Happy People", Peo-ple", was given by Vera Stevens. Present were: Carol Bishop, Joy Hurst, Beth Brown, Dorothy Spencer Spen-cer and Orpha Taylor, members. Guests were Roma Ekins and Ar-villa Ar-villa Workman. Niel Larsen, Oletta Larsen and daughter Diane, and Gladys Carter, Car-ter, spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Ely and Kimberly, Nevada. Nev-ada. In Kimberly they visited with Ellis and Louise Stevens. In Ely, Kennard and Betty Carter, Don and Marge Larsen and Wayne and Kitty Ireland, and families. Beth and Carlos Anderson are back from Las Vegas, where they spent the past several weeks. The show this week is "Red Garters", with Rosemary Clooney and Jack Carson. The wedding reception for Maxine Max-ine Reeve and Joe Ivie was a brilliant affair and a huge success. The color scheme was carried out in pink and white. The beautiful wedding cake was made by Mrs. Betty Johnson. The Oak City orchestra orch-estra furnished, the music and 503 people registered. Rook Club The Hinckley Rook Gub were entertained by Mrs. Vie Robinson. Dinner was served to members Arvilla Workman, Thora Petersen, Belva Morris, Nina Mecham. Beryl Hardy Dorothy Damron. Ruth Talbot, Tal-bot, Lois Wilson. Ruth Robinson. Angie PTatt, Arvilla Swensen and Ivy Allred. Guests: Roma Ekins. Harriet Spendlove, Julia Bliss and Joy Hurst Prizes were won by Ivy, first; Arvilla Swensen, second; guest, Julia and low, Joy. Nell Larsen left Tuesday to be sworn In to the Navy.
