Church on their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, August 21, from 2 to 7 p. m. at their home in Delta. They were married in Panguitch, August 21, 1905, and the following follow-ing year drove in a covered wagon to St. George, where their marriage was solemnized in the LDS Temple. Tem-ple. In 1922 they moved to Delta, where they have since resided. Mr. Church was born in Panguitch, Pang-uitch, Utah, February 1, 1886, a son of Robert Robins Church and Charlotta Emily Talbot. He engaged en-gaged in farming and is now in real estate. An active member in the LDS Church, he has served two different times as a bishop's counselor. Mrs. Church was also born in Panguitch, Utah, March 26, 1886, a daughter of David James Shake-spear Shake-spear and Maria D. Dickensen. She has always been active in the LDS Church, having served many years in the Relief Society and the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Mr. and Mrs. Church have had 12 children, 11 of whom are still living and will be present for the celebration. They are: George D., Butte, Montana; James, San Fran cisco, California; Ray H., Keseaa, California; SjSgt. The group toured the Church Welfare project, and then visited "This Is the Place" monument and Hogle Zoo. Two hours more were spent goinp; through the Temple Square. County Commiss' ler Wallace Jeffery, of Delta, w..a had major surgery at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City Sunday, Aug.7, is now much improved, according to word home Tuesday night from his wife. Mr. Jeffery was critically ill during the past week, and a second operation was necessary last Sunday. His wife and children, Ray, Diane and Caro and Mr. and Mrs. Kennard Riding, were with him Sunday. On Monday he began to improve, and the report since is encouraging. , St. Mrs. Lula Warnick returned to Delta Wednesday from a visit of two weeks in Inkom and McCam-mon, McCam-mon, Idaho, with a brother and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Skinner returned return-ed to Delta Friday from a trip to Salmon Idaho, visiting friends and relatives, and fishing. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Walker a nd three daughters visited in Salt Lake City over the weekend with Mr. a nd Mrs. J. W. Pace.
