MARY JOHNSON Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Haycock and little daughter came down from Salt Lake City Saturday for a two day stay with the Reed Nielson family. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Sheriff spent two days in Centerville with Mr. and Mrs. Olen Sheriff and family and Miss Velda Sheriff. The occasion occas-ion being the birthday of Olen. Mrs. Belva Morris was a Relief Society stake visitor to our meeting mee-ting here Tuesday. The " Meet Me At Mutual" evening eve-ning was a real success. A large crowd was out to witness the unveiling un-veiling of the Mia-matic. Refreshments Refresh-ments and a social followed the regular meeting. Miss JoAnn Johnson left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Los Angeles. She returned re-turned home Friday, having gone just to bring home the clothes she didtft bring when she came home for Christmas. Mrs. Eliza Farnsworth was here from Salt Lake with her daughter, Mrs. Margie Greathouse and family. fam-ily. Lee Shipley returned home Sunday Sun-day evening after a week in Los Angeles. Mrs. Lucille Overson and her mother, Mrs. Essie Anderson drove to Provo Monday for an overnight stay with relatives. Reports say, DeLong Banks is now home from the St. Mark's hospital where he had surgery on his foot. Mrs. Eleanor Nielson spent Monday Mon-day in Salt Lake City. Monday evening a P.T.A. meeting mee-ting was held at theschool house with Pres. Dick Hayes in charge. Mrs. LaVon Morrison, Mrs. Norma Pearson and Mr. Atkins were the speakers and Miss Lael Hilton played a piano solo. The meeting was enjoyed by the group who attended. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson came down from Fool Greek Flat and spent the afternoon, Saturday with Mrs. Norine Shipley and family. fam-ily. Mrs. Eva Roper is here from Oak City for the week with her daughter, dau-ghter, Nada Simpson and family. The program in church Sunday evening was given by the Seventies Seven-ties Quorum from the stake. Leoyd Lovell and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lovell took part. Mrs. Lovell gave a piano solo and the men did the speaking. Aliriiliani AELCIDEAN BARKER Alma Fullmer and sons visited with John and Afton on Saturday and Sunday they rode back to Tooele with John. John is spending a few days in Salt Lake with his sister, Mrs. Harriet Terry. Monday evening the Junior M Men and Junior Gleaners sponsored sponso-red a skating party for the ward at the Hinckley skating rink. Several of our neighbors have been on the sick list: Eva Taylor, Hal Young, Clifferd Petersen, Lee Talbot, Joan Murray and Julia Ann Bliss Hope they soon will be OK. Sacrament meeting was under the direction of the Bishopric and the speakers were Barbara Probst, Grant and Boyd Probst. The Abraham Abra-ham Girls chorus sang "Sweet Hour Of Prayer" and there was a piano solo by Marilyn Murray. Pvt. Russell L. Clark, who recently re-cently enlisted in the U. S. Army, is now stationed at Fort Carson, Colo. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Delta RFD. She is on the road to good health, we hope. We are glad to welcome her home. Mr. Elden Shurtz and Ralph Jensen returned home with her for a weekend visit with their parents. Virgil Losee who is working at Dugvvay returned home for a week end visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Losee. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Shurtz made a trip to Salt Lake City during the week. Mrs. Bob C!?rk spent a few days in the hospital but is now home. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Lambert have returned from the East, after spending the holidays with their children. Upon their return, they had a phone call from Mr. Lambert's Lam-bert's father, that he had fallen and broken his hip and was in a critical condition. Mrs. Jay Shurtz and children are visiting in Fillmore. They were called cal-led there to take care of her mother, who had fallen and had broken her ankle. "Sunday night meeting was given by the Ward. Talks were given by Gale Jensen, Ann Shields, Jean Jenson and Cecil Shurtz. A song, "Let The Lower Lights Be Burning", Burn-ing", by Roy Losee and Bob Jen-son. Jen-son. A good crowd was in attendance. atten-dance. Mr. and Mrs. George Jenson, and Tressa Jenson made a trip to San-taquin San-taquin to the funeral of George's oldest sister, Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Romulus Shields have moved to Ogden, to work this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Clark entertained enter-tained at dinner and cards, Tuesday Tues-day night. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hiese, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hiese, Mr. and Mrs. Art Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mienhardt Mr. and Mrs. Frank Foote, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Underhill, Mrs. Louella Nickle, Mrs. Helen Hersleff, Mrs. Venice Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Winn Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Munster and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Holman. Prizes were won; 1st by Mrs. Winn Walker and Herman Munster, consolation con-solation by Helen Hersleff and Art Hill. A very good time was had by all. UTAH Mabel Harder Mrs. Emma Nielson left. Wednesday Wednes-day with her daughters, Arvilla and Barta to drive to Fresno, Cal. They will visit Mr. and Mrs. Kent Larson and family in Fresno. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bradfield and family, and Mr. and Mrs. William Bradfield spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hansen and Family in Fairview. The Bee-hive girls and the Scouts participated in the floor show at the Stake Gold and Green Ball Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hansen have been teaching the dance. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mclntyre have been visiting the past week. Bill attended the National Livestock show in Denver and Nannette enjoyed en-joyed the week skiing at the resorts re-sorts around Salt Lake. "Meet me at Mutual" night was well presented and enjoyed by a large crowd Tuesday evening. The "Mia-Matic" was qdite the automobile auto-mobile and well driven by the entire cast. Speakers at sacrament meeting Sunday were Bishop John M. Neil-sen, Neil-sen, Jerald Lovell, and Richard Nielson. A beautiful piano solo was played by Mrs. Eevan Nielson. Mrs. Pearl Nelsen and Nancy visited Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Rich Finlinson. Elwood Dutson, Leamington, is now attending Snow College. He received straight A grades fall quarter and is commended for his work. According to Registrar Fred Allred, only four freshmen were on the scholastic list. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Christensen, of Salt Lake City, are announcing the arrival of a daughter, Karen, on January 19. Her brothers, Don and Dennis, are staying with their grandmother, Mrs. Madge Christensen, Chris-tensen, at Delta. His Come in.
