Mr. and Mrs. I.yle Talbot from Magna visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Skeem last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stubbert from Kuth, Nevada, who have been vis iting their children in Seattle, Wash stopped in Oasis last Thursday and visited relatives and friends until Sunday. Another daughter from Salt Lake City met them here and went on to Ruth with them. While they were here they made their headquarters with Mrs. Kvelyn Ilawley. Mrs. llulda Anderson of Oak City visited a few days last week with her sister Annie Skeem and another sister, Minnie Stubbert. Mrs. Annie Clawson from Salt Uike City visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley a few days. Last Thursday Mrs. Evelyn Haw ley celebrated her birthday. Many friends and relatives called in to wish her many happy returns of the day. All who called partook of a lovely birthday fare with her. Mr. and Mrs. Klrby Kirkham and their mother, Mrs. Milan Hutchings from Salt Lake City, also Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hutchings and daughters, daugh-ters, Jeroldine, Bonnie and Sally, and son, Mark, from Salt Lake City visited with Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop and also with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skidmore of Delta from Friday Fri-day evening until Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Franz and son from Salt Lake City were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norvel Christensen over the weekend. - Erick Eliason and his son, Paul, from Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Rped Swensen and three children chil-dren also from Salt Lake City visited vis-ited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Clillen over the weekend. Mrs. Howard Houndy entertained entertain-ed the Cropper, Roundy and Peterson Pet-erson families last Ehursday evening eve-ning at a birthday dinner for her husband, Howard. Last Monday Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Mor-gan Howell took their son, Charles to Salt Lake City for a medical check up. Mrs. Amy Brinkerhoff from Beaver Bea-ver arrived Monday and will visit until Friday with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Howell and fam- iy. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moore and son, Richard, from Sacramento, California, and Mrs. Lloyd Anderson Ander-son from California were dinner guests at their aunt Betty Skeem's home Sunday. Mrs. Erma Styler and daughter, Nelln visited in Ephraim with Mr. nnd Mrs. Robert O. Anderson and family from Thursday until Saturday Satur-day of last week. Mr, and Mrs. Arlyn Styler and family of Bountiful spent Friday until Sunday at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler. Also guests at the Styler home Saturday nnd Sunday were Mr, Ivan Jensen and his father from Bountiful. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Baldwin from Tooele were guests at the home of Mr. nnd Mrs. Morgan Howell over the weekend. Mr. Baldwin is manager of J. C. I'enney's store In Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Skeem took their little daughter, Shauna to Salt Lake City Tuesday for a check up with her doctor. Mrs. Randall Whiting from Og-den Og-den visited with her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Anderson a few days. Mrs Thaeker horn Heber City has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. Leslie Webb and family for the past three weeks. ! Cailos and Jerold Bishop from (Ydar City spent the weekend with MARY JOHNSON Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gunn and Mrs. Lon-aine Stephenson visited here with Bishop and Mrs. Earl Greathouse before leaving for their homes in California. They came up tor the funeral of Mrs. Viola Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and Mr. and.Mrs. Mel Ranie spent he deer hunting season in the Beaver-Minersvilie Beaver-Minersvilie area. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Thompson were among the first day pheasant hunters. hun-ters. They brought Mrs. Jean Ash-by, Ash-by, down from Springville. She visited with the Roy Nielsen family. fam-ily. Mrs. Colleen Fowler and a friend, Miss Bonnie Olsen, spent the weekend at the Nielson home. After a day of deer hunting in the Kanosh area, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thompson will return to their home in Inglewood, Cal., and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Thompson will go back to Provo, where Kent is a student at the V. Mrs. Carol Rodman and two sons Micheal and Gary, drove down from Salt Lake City last Sunday and took Miss Cora Paxton back to Salt Lake for a weeks stay. They will bring her back Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mallett returned re-turned to their home in Santa Monica, Friday after a two weeks stay with Mrs. Mary Freer. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Larsen and Mrs. Josephine Sudbury drove down from Orem for the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Nielson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Irvln Whatcott drove to Provo Sunday and visited Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ashton and family and Mr. and Mrs. Darold Whatcott and daughters. Sunday evening was Relief Society Soc-iety Conference and was given under the direction of Pres. Mary Johnson. Talks were given by Ruth Abegglen, Lucille Nielson, Bishop Greathouse and Mrs. Qra Gardner, who was the Stake Board representative. repre-sentative. Two numbers were sung by the Singing Mothers, with Susan Nielson as accompanist. Mr. Gardner accompanied his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Lile Johnson visited in Sutherland with Mr. and Mrs. Pete Johnson who just returned from a two weeks stay in Idaho Falls with Mr. and Mrs. Frances Bumham, who have just had a new baby boy. Mr. and Mrs. Curt Johnson and George drove to Salt Lake for the day, Sunday and visited Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McMahn and attended at-tended the blessing of their new little daughter. The McMahn's have one other daughter, Sharon. Mr. and Mrs. Phiil Nielson spent Fridny in Salt Lake shopping. Mrs. Hilda Thompson visited in Milford several days with her son, Max and family. Mr. and Mrs, Clarence Hogan visited in Provo with their daughter, daugh-ter, Romay. Mr. Hogan returned home leaving Mrs. Hogan for a longer stay. Mrs. Glenna Vest received word that her brother Dern had undergone under-gone surgery, having all the bone removed from the elbow to the wrist in the left arm. A large number of men left Deseret Tuesday morning to go to Salina, Utah where they will help in the search for Walter LaCont Johnson, who has been missing since Oct. 21 while he was deer hunting in Salina Canyon. Miss Dorothy Corry spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Corry. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Keith Corry on the new son born at the Delta Hospital. This is the first grand child for Mr. and Mrs. Ceorge Corry. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Coates of Kingston and Mr. and Mrs. Maesel Brasher of Salt Lake visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Christensen and daughter of Tooele visited Mr. and Mrs. El Fowles. Mr. Neil Ogden Jr. stopped on his way from Los Angeles, California Cal-ifornia to visit his parents in Salt Lake and to see his grandfather, A. M. Ogden. The small baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Ogden is in the Holy Cross hospital receiving medical care. . Sandra the small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Owens is recovering re-covering nicely from the accident she recently had on the program Sunday evening.
