McTague has selected the 16 top teams from the entries received from the intermountain area and the caliber of the teams entered in the meet indicates that the fans will see some classy aggrega tions in action. Lehi Takes First Tennis Match Lehi high school tennis players snared two singles and a doubles victory from the American Fork racket wielders Tuesday afternoon after-noon on the local courts to win the meet three matches to two. Dick Felt racked up the first Lehi victory by downing Myron Briggs 6-0 and 6-4. Monte Lee then evened the count for tne Cavemen by defeating Harold Gammon 6-3 and 6-0. LaRay Clements then lost to West Turner, Tur-ner, Lehi, 6-4, 6-4 to put the Pioneers in the lead again. The two schools split the doubles matches when Don .Roberts and Harold Fox of Lehi teamed up to beat Delbert Hoglund and Ken Abel 6-2 and 6-0.: Cavemen Le-Roy Le-Roy Griffin and Mark Grant ganged up on LaVerl Leaney and Charles Johnson 6-0 and 6-1. High School Athletes Revive Baseball Again Baseball will get a lot of attention at-tention at American Fork Hieh school this year undes the direc tion cf Coach Don Overly. The high schools of the Alpine district dis-trict have organized a prep league and will cross bats for the championship. Mentor Overly has more than 30 prospects trying out for positions posi-tions on the Cavemen nine and after a couple of weeks of workouts work-outs the squad will be cut to 15 players. Tne Forker squad lacks experience ex-perience and knowledge of the iundamentals since the sport nasn't been regularly taught for many seasons. However, in Blair Keese. Steve Seastrand. Glade Steiner, Max Pierce, Don Mower and Loyal Iverson, the Caveman coach has players who had experience ex-perience on the American Legion team last year. The Lehi diamond crew will be coached by Earl Holmstead. Evan Baugh will handle the Lincoln assignment and Guy Hillman is at the helm in Pleasant Grove. The Pee Gee team is rated as the team to beat for the district title. Other proposed sites submitted for consideration con-sideration at the meeting were those already established at Timp Haven and Hobble Creek, and a new location near Ironton. Officials of the Provo Chamber Cham-ber of Commerce indicated that invitations would be extended to the other commerce organizations organiza-tions of the county to assist in choosing and boosting a sight. The Provo meeting was well attended by college skiers, Forest Service officials, city officials, and business men.
