The lesson "The Move South" was presented in a very interesting manner by Mrs. Neldon Eirk, and Mrs. Relva Booth Ross read the history of James Faulkner, pioneer pio-neer of 1855. Refreshments were served to 25 ladies. Mountainville Camp Histories of James and Ann Miller were given by their granddaughter, grand-daughter, Mrs. Si Bennett, before be-fore the Mountainville Camp, DUP, when they met Thursday in the Relic Hall. Mrs. H. Arthur Smith gave the lesson, "The Move South" and Mrs. J. William Healey conducted the flag salute. sa-lute. Lunch was served with Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. Ralph Smith as hostesses. Boy Scout News x Jamboree Results Blue ribbon proficiency awards at the Scout Week jamboree were woh by the Highland ward troop, the Third ward troop and the Seventh ward troop. The Third ward troop was high scorer with 155 points, the Highland scouti garnered 121 points in the contests, con-tests, and the Seventh ward received re-ceived 108 to end up in third place. Standard awards, represented by inscribed red ribbons, went to the Fourth ward scouts with 102 points, the Cub pack with 91 points, and the Fifth ward with 84 points. The Sixth ward troop with 81 points, the Alpine scouts with 6i points' and the Second ward group with 48 points were awarded award-ed yellow ribbons which were inscribed with "participant." (Other Activities) The Utah National Parks Council, Coun-cil, Boy Scouts of America, have announced that the annual fellowship fel-lowship meeting cf the Parks council will be held March 20 at the B. Y. U.'s Joseph Smith building. John Van Wagoner, president of the Senior Scout committee, announced Wednesday that a district meeting will be held in the Third ward chapel Sunday afternoon at 2 p. m. All unit representatives, committeemen, post guides and unit leaders and assistants are urged to be present at the Sunday meeting. At a Court of Honor Sunday nisht. the Third ward scouters awarded Life badges to Scouts Jay Moyle and Monte liee. . In addition to the awards earned by Scouts Moyle and Lee, thirty-three thirty-three advancement ranks were given other members of the troop along with 53 merit . badge awards. scouts also received an award of one merit badge. Grant Robinson received two merit badges and Merrill Beck received one merit badge in oth er award ceremonies. Paul Anderson, Roney Hutch-Ins, Hutch-Ins, Richard Pulley, Gordon Bennett Ben-nett and Reed Greenwood are new members of the troop who were accepted and registered last week.
