Bob Roberts is spending two weeks in Salt Lake City with his mother, Mrs. Annie Zierold. Mrs. Ada Geis and children of Salt Lake City spent Friday through Monday in Lehi with Mrs. Geis' grandmother, Mrs. Mary L. Roberts, and her father, Ford Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Christensen and family are moving to American Amer-ican Fork this week to make their home. Mrs. Marie Lott Kleinman and son, Neil, are spending the fall and winter months in Tuscon, Arizona, while Lieutenant Klein-man Klein-man is in England. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Evans have purchased the former John S. Evans home on Second West and .Third North streets. Mrs. Soren Mork visited Wednesday Wed-nesday with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Emery Mork, who is in a Salt Lake hospital convalescing from a recent major operation. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Phillips of Salt Lake City spent Monday in Lehi visiting friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Abel Ekins (Ger-aldine (Ger-aldine Taylor) arrived in Lehi Friday from Honolulu, Hawaii, where Mr. Ekins is employed in government work. They will visit Mrs. Ekins' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald R. Taylor, and Mr. Ekins' relatives in Pleasant Grove during dur-ing the next month, after which they will return to the islands. They have been in Hawaii since before Pearl Harbor. Three babies were given names : during Fast Day services at the ; Lehi Fifth ward Sunday. They were Ralph Lawrence Glather, son of L. O.'and Geralee Soren-son Soren-son Glather, Mark J. Haslam, son of Cpl. Glen and Barta Jones Haslam, and Georgia McMillan, daughter of George Richard and Ruth Peterson McMillan. The home of Mrs. Ben C. Lott was the scene of a delightful party Wednesday afternoon, when a group of friends and neighbors pleasantly surprised Mrs. Lott on her birthday anniversary. anni-versary. The wedding will take place Fri- 5 day, September 15, at the home The Lehi Stake Relief Society Planning Meeting will be held Sunday, September 10, at 2 p. m. in the stake tabernacle, in con nection with the regular Priest hood union meeting, it is announced an-nounced by Ethel Hunger, stake Relief Society president. This meeting is being held in accord ance with the program outlined by the general board. All sJake board members, ward officers, and class leaders are expected to be present. The purpose of the meeting is to stimulate all phases of Relief Society work at the beginning of the 1944-45 season, to preview lesson work and other activities planned for the coming year, and to give whatever help and instruction in-struction is deemed necessary- by the stake board. Stake board members will take full advantage of this special meeting, and will be prepared to conduct their respective re-spective departments for ward workers. Following is a list of departments depart-ments to be held, and board members in charge: Presidents, Ethel Hunger; Educational work, Alta Ash; Church Welfare, Udine Wing; Secretaries and Treasurers, Treasur-ers, Eliza Logsdon; Magazine, Marie Smith; Teachers' Topic, Rose Lott; Theology, Edna Banks; Bible Literature, Liliane Anderson; Social Science, Eudora Ross. Lehi stake M-Men, Gleaners, Junior and Explorers will hold a fireside chat at the Second ward chapel at 9 p. m., Sunday, September 10, following sacrament sacra-ment services. Dr. C. W. Hay-mond, Hay-mond, famed athlete of Salt Lake City, will address the group on youth problems. Arrangements for the chat are under the direction of Kelsey Chatfield, stake M Men president, and Marie Allred, stake Gleaner president. A cordial invitation is issued to all young people of the above age group to join their friends at the fireside chat. Stake Choir Resumes Rehearsals The Lehi stake choir, directed by Mrs. Isabel Brown, resumed rehearsals this week after a few weeks' rest. Regular rehearsals will be held Wednesday evening at 8 p. m. , . The choir is busy putting the finishing touches on their repertoire reper-toire for the ward tour, which will begin in the next few weeks. The programs which will be given giv-en in each ward, will consist of ensemble numbers with specialty solos.' v.. - Armond Webb is president of the choir. La Priel Goodwin and Alva H.
