Show THURSDAY, AUGUST 10, 1944 THE LEHI SUN, LEHI, UTAH Local Items Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Schow and two children of Bountiful were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. Carlos Schow. Mrs. Myron Burgess spent Wed' nesday in Provo on business. Miss Mattle Davis of Salt Lake City was a Lehi visitor Saturday, Mrs. Floyd Herring spent Monday Mon-day in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Burgess and family and Mr. and Mrs. Fer rin Gurney and family enjoyed a picnic supper and a swim at Sara toga Friday evening. Misses Anita and Alberta Van Wagoner spent the week-end in Lehi with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Van Wagoner. Miss Fay Wanlass and Miss Fay Ashton returned to their homes Saturday, after a two weeks visit in California. They visited points of interest at San Francisco and the Bay region enroute home. They report a very enjoyable trip. Miss Pearl Peterson of Salt Lake City spent the week-end with Lehi relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bateman and family are moving to American Ameri-can Fork this week, where they recently purchased a new home. A son was born to Glen and Barta Jones Haslam at the Amer ican Fork hospital Monday night. The father is stationed at Denver Colorado, with the U. S. army. Mrs. Dennis Giles and son, Darrell, and his family returned to their home In Huntington Park, California, after visiting Utah relatives during the past two weeks. Mrs. Dennis Giles is a sister of Mrs. J. C. Wanlass. George N. Larsen of Chicago arrived in Leh Friday from Chicago, Chi-cago, Illinois, to Join his wife and two daughters, Nancy and Anne Janet, who have been visiting the past few weeks with Mrs. Lar- sen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Le-Roy Le-Roy Davis. Mrs. Larsen is the former Nelda Davis of this city. The Larsens expect to spend two weeks here with relatives and friends before returning to their home. Mrs. Bertha Knudsen of Provo visited here last week with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Clark of Provo spent Sunday visiting with Mrs. Clark's mother, Mrs. Mary Winn. Mrs. Wilbur Rasmussen and Mrs. Leo Sudweeks and son, Grant, of Salt Lake City visited here .Monday with Mrs. Mary Winn. Mrs. Maxine Held and little daughter, Carol, of Salt Lake City are spending this week in Lehi with Mrs. Held's grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Mary Briant.- Mrs. Held is reported to be ill. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Schow were in Ogden Sunday, where they met their new grandson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Schow, for the first time. The mother and baby are reported to be doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Alva H. Wing and Miss Willa Hadfield have returned return-ed to their homes after a short visit in Cheyenne, Wyoming with Ralph Wing, who is stationed there. Mrs. J. Freeman Royle entertained enter-tained a group of friends at her home Saturday afternoon, honoring hon-oring Mrs. Bertha Knudsen of Provo, who has been visiting here.
