The marriage took place at the home of Miss Smith's grandmother, Mrs. Annie O. Smith, of this city. The ceremony was performed at 4:30 p. m. by. Bishop E. B. Garrett in the presence of he immediate family members and a" few close friends. Following the ceremony dinner was served at the Roberts home. Twenty guests were present. On Saturday evening Mrs. Oliver Roberts, Mrs. Annie Smith and Mrs. Myron Hales of Cedar Valley entertained ' at a miscellaneous shower in honor of the bride. The affair was held in the Second ward Relief society rooms. Games were played and the following program presented: Violin solo, Betty Logs-don, Logs-don, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Roy Logsdon; readings, Mrs. Dean, Prior; accordian selections, Miriam Humphries of American Fork; piano selections, Mrs. Mary Humphries of American Fork. APPROACHING MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Wilson of this city announce the engagement engage-ment and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Betty Irene Wilson, and Mr. Lane P. Hall, son of Mrs. Sylva Hall of this city, which will take place on Friday, February 27. . The bride is a graduate of the Lehi high school, has taken an active' ac-tive' part in church and civic affairs af-fairs in the community. For the past two years she has been employed em-ployed in the agricultural office at the City and County building in Provo. Mr. Hall is a graduate of the high school in Winslow, Arizona. Local Youth Receives Burns In Stove Blast Thursday night, Ralph Colledge, 18, of this city, a CCC enrollee at the Provo river camp, located on the old Provo city airport grounds, was being treated at the Utah Valley hospital for first and second degree burns received when a stove exploded ex-ploded at the camp. Condition of the youth was reported re-ported "good" by an attending physician. Colledge was in the shower house when Lee Warren, of Tennessee, enrollee en-rollee in charge of the building, threw a rag saturated with gasoline gaso-line into a stove, according to Walter Wal-ter O. Nelson, camp commander. The resulting explosion blew the stove door open and flames enveloped en-veloped Colledge setting his clothing cloth-ing afire. Warren and the other youths extinguished the flames by placing Colledge under a shower. They then rushed him to the hospital. hos-pital. Quick actions by Warren and the other youths probably saved Colledge Col-ledge from even more severe burns. Gleaner-M Men Banquet Date Announced Plans are now underway for the annual M Men and Gleaner Girls banquet of Lehi stake, which is expected ex-pected to be one of the major social so-cial affairs of the season. The date has been set for Tuesday, Tues-day, evening, March io. The banquet ban-quet win be held in the Fifth ward chapel at 7:30 p. m. The theme to be carried out in the decorative scheme, toasts and the entire program will be "America, "Amer-ica, Land of Choice." AH Gleaner Girls and M. Men of the stake are looking forward with interest to this big annual event and are planning to attend. Tickets are now on sale and more complete details will be announced next week. A patriotic theme predominated in the decorations decora-tions and ' menu!
