A. announces that Lehl stake needs just sixty-seven and one-half subscriptions for the Improvement Im-provement Era to go over the top. This is the nearest Lehl stake has ever been to reaching the stake's quota. The officers would appreciate appre-ciate the support of stake members mem-bers concerning this matter. Mrs Edward Fox was hostess to members of the 34 Club at her home Thursday evening. At the American Legion meeting held Thursday evening in the Memorial Me-morial building business was discussed dis-cussed and it was decided that a meeting will be held on the second Thursday of each month. At this time instructions will be given on "Proper Fire Prevention." Thomas Powers will be in charge. They also al-so voted to contribute $5 to the Red Cross and purchase a $50 Defense Bond. They appointed a committee commit-tee to help with the Civilian defense de-fense in Lehi. Hampton of Ogden. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake temple Wednesday by Presi dent Stephen L. Chipman. They were accompanied to the temple by Mrs. T. F. Klrkham. The American Legion Auxiliary held their first meeting of the new year Friday, January 9 at the home of Mrs. Blanche Turner. Business affairs were discussed. The auxil iary have been asked to join with the National Defense program that is being carried out in Lehl this year. Another meeting will be held in two weeks.
