Mr. and Mrs. Herman Allred entertained en-tertained at a delicious turkey dinner din-ner Sunday evening for Mrs. Jennie Nostrom and sons, Reed and Bruce. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Mrs. Afton Giles visited from Friday until Monday in Salt Lake City with Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Giles. Mr. Giles spent Sunday there. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Austin spent Thursday and Friday of last week in Salt Lake City, visiting With Mr. and Mrs. George Holln-drake. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gray and daughter, Linda, were dinner guests of Mrs. Gray's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Allen, in Vineyard Sunday. On New Year's day Mr. and Mrs. John Price had as their dinner guests, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Price of Salt Lake City,, Mr. and Mrs. Le-land Le-land Price , arid daughter, RaNae. Sunday at dinner Mrs. Julia Brown had as her guests Mr. and Mrs. Leon Taylor of Spanish Fork, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Brown and children, Mr. Denzil Brown and daughter, all of Provo, and Mr. Alex Brown of Seattle, Washlng-jton. Eugene Davis of Blzby, Arizona, who has been very ill with pneumonia pneu-monia in the Lehi hospital, is reported re-ported to be improving nicely and is expected to be removed from the hospital soon. Mr. Davis came from Arizona to visit his father, Reuben Davis, and was stricken 111 before he arrived here. He has been in the hospital since. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Gray and Mrs. Herman Swenson were entertained enter-tained at dinner on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Buck- waiter in American Fork. Dewey Gaisford of Mammoth visited vis-ited here during the week-end with his mother, Mrs. Sarah E. Gaisford, and with his four children, Sally, Jim, Dick and Darwin Gaisford. Dr. and Mrs. Virgil Dorton, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Taylor of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Basil Dorton spent Sunday afternoon with their father, J. E. Dorton. Mrs. R. H. Giles and daughter, Beth, and son, Glen, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bone and children of Salt Lake City were Sunday guests at the home of Mrs. John Bone. Rolene Bone of Salt Lake City returned home Sunday, after spending spend-ing the holidays here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Sorenson, as a guest of Miss Geralee Sorenson. Mr. and Mrs. Urban Johnson returned re-turned home last week, after en-Joying en-Joying a delightful visit in Phoenix, Arizona, with Mr. Johnson's sister. They also visited at Mesa and went into Old Mexico. They were gone ten days and report a lovely trip. Mrs. Ernest Peterson entertained at a gay children's party Friday afternoon, honoring the third birthday birth-day anniversary of their little son, Nile. The little guests were entertained enter-tained with lively games and were served dainty refreshments. A large birthday cake, decorated in pink rnd white, was an important Item. Harris entertained enter-tained at a prettily-appointed birthday birth-day dinner Sunday, honoring the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Minnie Min-nie Harris. A large birthday cake formed an attractive centerpiece. An enjoyable time was reported by the group present. The Builders Bee-hive girls of the Lehi Second ward elected new officers offi-cers at their meeting Tuesday evening, eve-ning, January 7. Lehi, Utah High School News The assembly, Friday, January 10, will be given by the Senior class. Various numbers will be given to forward the Lehlslon drive. It promises to be very different and interesting. To complete the half year's work, the 9th and 10th grade Foods classes went to Salt Lake City, January Jan-uary 7. They visited the Clover Leaf Dairy and the Royal Bakery. The Boosters will appear in costume cos-tume for the first time Friday, January Jan-uary 10, when the high school plays B. Y. high in what promises to be a very interesting game. The annual high school play was presented on the 7th and 8th. "June in January," coached by Miss Con-der, Con-der, was well received. Awards, given for the class series ser-ies touch-football tournaments were distributed Tuesday, January 7. The Seniors captured these awards and are now proudly displaying them. January 17th has been set for the deadline for Lehislon subscriptions. The staff hopes for an immediate and satisfactory response to the call. Mrs. Douglas Willes was removed to her home Sunday from the local hospital.
