Bruce is a student of Prof. Mark Robinson of Ogden. Another recital, in which Bruce will appear, will be held in Salt Lake City at a later date. Mr. and Mrs. Clell Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jackson, Phyllis Jackson and son, Dickie, attended a party at the Luke's Hot Pots in Midway Sunday, given in honor of the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Jackson's mother, Mrs. Martha Linton, Lin-ton, of Provo. The Athenian club were entertained enter-tained at the home of Mrs. E. C. Jorgensen Wednesday afternoon. An interesting review of the book, "Tobacco Road," was given by Miss Arleen Goodwin of the Junior Athenian club, after which the hostess served a dainty luncheon. A miscellaneous shower party is being held this afternoon (Thursday) (Thurs-day) at 2 o'clock in the Third ward chapel, honoring Mrs. Vincent Co-Uane, Co-Uane, an early May bride. Mrs. Coliane was formerly Miss Helen Almonetti of this city. Mrs. Katie Bertino, mother of the bride, is hostess. An invitation is extended to all women and girls of the ward over the age of fifteen. This club is a national organization, organiza-tion, composed of wives of the Agricultural Ag-ricultural college students. Mrs. White was formerly Miss Fern Rothe of this city. Her many friends extend congratulations and wish her success in her new duties. Shirley Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Peterson, celebrated cele-brated her tenth birthday anniversary anni-versary Saturday afternoon, by entertaining en-tertaining a number of little friends at a delightful birthday party.
