Mr. and Mrs. Roger Stoker and daughter, Shirley, of Boise, Idaho, are here visiting with Mr. Stoker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Stoker. Mable Hackney of Moorehead, Kentucky, was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchings last Thursday. Mrs. Hazel Allred is employed at the Pleasant Grove office of the Utah ower and Light company, while the regular saleslady Is on her vacation. Miss Delia Carson spent Satur day and Sunday visiting in Salt Lake City. Miss Erma Schow, who is em ployed In Bryce canyon, spent the week-end here with her parents, Mr, and Mrs, A. C. Schow. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Christensen and daughters, Metta and Alta, spent Monday visiting in Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turner of Coalville spent Monday In Lehi, vis iting with Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Turner Tur-ner and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Turner, Mrs. George Phillips, Mrs. Edward Phillips and two children spent Wednesday visiting in Salt Lake City. Baby Ray Tidwell, eight months old son of Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Tidwell Tid-well of McGill, Nevada, is here staying stay-ing with his grandmother, Mrs. B. G. Webb, while his parents are en-Joying en-Joying a vacation in San Francisco and other points of interest in California. Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Anderson of Salt Lake City s)ent Saturday and Sunday visiting here with Mrs. Ra chel Anderson and Mr. and Mrs, Stanley Taylor. Mrs. Birdie DuBoise and daughter, daugh-ter, Virginia, of Salt Lake City spent Sunday here with Mrs. DuBoise's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. John son. Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchings and daughter, Laurel, attended Sacra ment meeting in the East Mill Creek ward last Sunday evening. Mr. Hutchings was the speaker at the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Carson and daughter, Delia, and Miss Minnie Flack of Fairfield visited at Heber last Wednesday, attending the cele bration. While there they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Bar- zee. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Goodwin and little daughters, Zola and Vonetta, spent the week-end visiting with Mrs. Goodwin's mother in Foun tain Green. Mr, and Mrs. Leigh Ingersoll and little son, Phillip, of Gooding, Idaho, are here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Peterson and, other relatives. Mrs. Ingersoll was formerly Miss Georgeana Peterson of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Anderson have returned home from Denver, Colorado, where Mr, Anderson attended at-tended a convention. They visited points of interest in Denver and report a lovely trip. IT Mrs. S. J. Taylor left Tuesday to spend a few days in Midvale with her granddaughter, Mrs. Arch Nelson. Nel-son. She will leave Friday in company com-pany with Mr. and Mrs. Heber C. Hart for Shelley, Idaho, where she will be a guest at the Hart home for two or three weeks. Twenty-two Twenty-two family members were present, including Mrs, Peet, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Roberts and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Peet and family and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Peterson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Jackson and Clifton Jackson spent Tuesday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Clif-ton Jackson returned to their home in Cedar City Wednesday, after a several days' visit here. They came to attend funeral services held for Mrs. Alice Ashton. Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Peterson and Dan Worlton arrived home Monday evening after spending four days vacationing in Yellowstone national park. They spent two days with Mr. and Mrs. Leon Taylor at their sum mer cabin on Snake river and part of the time with Mrs. Douglas Scalley at the Scalley cabin. They enjoyed fishing and sightseeing all through the park. Main Street : : : : ; Phone 353 Former students and friends from this city were grief stricken to hear of the death of Mrs. Naomi Broad-bent Broad-bent Johnson, 34, wife of W. Eugene Johnson of Salt Lake City. She died Sunday at 8:30 p. m. in a Salt Lake City' hospital of complications following fol-lowing childbirth. She was a former for-mer teacher of the Lehi high school and is quite well known in this community. com-munity. She was born in Heber, Utah, February 15, 1905, a daughter of David A and Mima Murdock Broad-bent. Broad-bent. She attended school in Heber and was valedictorian of her high school class in 1924. She also was a grad uate of Brieham Young university where she majored in dramatic art She later took a graduate course at Northwestern university in Evan- ston, Illinois, and at a dramatic school in Boston, Massachusetts. Mrs. Johnson taught dramatic art and physical education at Lehi from 1927 to 1930 and at Springville from 1930 to 1935. She had been giving private lessons in Salt Lake City the past few years. Besides her husband and parents she is survived by three children: Lucille Anne. David Merrill and Na omi Jean Johnson, Salt Lake City; four brothers and seven sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday at 2 p. m. in the Wasatch L. D. S. stake tabernacle at Heber. Burial was made in the Heber ceme tery.
