On Friday Mr- and Mrs. Elias M. Jones were visiting in Provo. While there they attended a theatre. Miss Helen Harper of Pleasant Grove is spending a few days here visiting with Miss Maxine Van Wagoner- As guests of Miss Margaret Clyde, Miss Pauline Goates and Miss Max ine Van Wagoner spent July 3rd and 4th in Midway. The American Legion Auxiliary meeting which was to be held Wed nesday, July 10th, at Saratoga, has been postponed one week and will be held at the resort on July 17th Elias M. Jones came from Black- toot, Idaho, where he is employed by the Utah-Idaho Sugar company, to spend the Fourth and the week end here with his wife. He returned .to Idaho Sunday night. Mr- and Mrs. W. Miss Dorothy Rushton of Pleasant Grove Is here visiting her aunt, Mrs- Fred Turner, for a week-Friends week-Friends will be very sorry to hear that Felix Long suffered a partial stroke last Friday, At last reports he was feeling as well as possible. Mrs. Fred Turner and daughters spent last week at Pleasant Grove with Mrs. Turner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Walker and her sister, Mrs- Myrtle Rushton. Reuben Davis underwent a successful suc-cessful operation at the St. Mark's hospital Saturday. A cataract was removed from one of his eyes. His mfany friends are hoping for his speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Skinner an nounce the arrival of their first child, a lovely baby daughter, born Friday. The mother, formerly Miss Delia Street, and the new arrival are doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Giles and daughters, Leda and Phyllis, of Huntington Park, California, arrived ar-rived in Lehi Saturday for a two weeks' visit with relatives and friends. L- Worlton and daughters left Thursday, July 4th,. for Long Beach, California, where the doctor is attending the Pacific Coast Dental conference, being held in that city from July 8th to nth-Over nth-Over 1500 dentists from all over the United States were expected to be present at the conference. Guests of the convention include leading dentists and medical men from all over the United States, coming from New York City. Chicago, Minneap olis, New Haven, Connecticut; Cleve land, Ohio; Houston, Texas; San Francisco. Los Aneeles, California; Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Al buquerque, New Mexico. Every phaze in dentistry will be treated in detail This is expected to be cne of the very best conventions, conven-tions, treating scientific improvements improve-ments in dentistry ever held in the west- Mrs- Worlton Is attending the social functions planned by the ladies la-dies auxiliary while the convention is going on. The plans for the ladies la-dies included a trip to Catalina Island, Is-land, the Huntington Art Galleries and Library at Pasadena, a trip over the mountains to Santa Monica, Mon-ica, bridge luncheon at the beautiful beauti-ful Virginia Country club, an auto trip to Hollywood, an automobile trip to San Diego and across the border into Old Mexico and to Agua Caliente. At San Diego they will attend the International Exposition. o Scout Awarding Court of Honor Held Sunday An awarding Boy Scout Court of Honor of the Lehi district was held Sunday evening in the First ward chapel under the direction of the Lehi Court of Honor, Bishop G-Henry G-Henry Erickson in charge. Three scouts, Victor Smith, Keith Bushman and Dee S'chow, presented the colors, following the opening ex ercises. Musical numbers consisted of a song by Karma Clark, Gretta Churchhill, Julanne Gillett and Clea Gray, and a vocal solo by Vic tor Smith. Troop 3 scouts were excused from the Court of Honor- They left last week for a trip through Yellowstone Park. The following boy scouts, repre senting Troop 1, 4 and 5, were presented pre-sented with awards by Bishop Joseph. Jo-seph. E. Smith. . Bishop H A- Anderson An-derson recommended the First ward scout: Flovd White, the Fourth ward boys and Keith Lott, the Fifth ward boys. ' Troop 1 Keith Bushman, First Class award. Troop 5 LaMar Dahl, merit bad-tres bad-tres in First Aid and Leatherwork; Wesley Schow, merit badge in leatherwork: leath-erwork: Maurice DahL merit badges in Leatherwork and Dairying; Earl Fox, merit badge in Leatherwork, and Keith Lott, merit badge in Civics- Three aDnllcations have been re ceived by the court of honor by a scout from Troop 3, a scout from Troop 4, and a scout from Troop 5. This high award will be presented to these boys at the next awarding court of honor. Leo Hanson was the speaker of the evening and gave a splendid address, ad-dress, stressing the great importance of home ties, the great scout program, pro-gram, and how the boys can apply the scout laws, etc. to their lives- After the closing exercises the colors were retired by the scouts. o , . Parents Visiting Day at Kindergarten Kindergar-ten Class Friday Visiting day for the parents of the children attending the Kindergarten Kinder-garten class will be held Friday morning, July 12th, at the Primary School building at 11 o'clock- Miss Phyllis Kirkham and Miss Arva Wing are the instructors of the group of children, who have been attending the Kindergarten classes during the past few weeks. The children are greatly enjoying the activities of Kindergarten and are receiving a great deal of benefit from the instructions given them. AU parents are urged to attend visiting day. F.F.A. Boys Leave For Yellowstone The Lehi Future Farmer boys with their leader, E. B. Garrett, will leave Saturday morning for a trip through Yellowstone National Park. They will make the trip in a school bus and will be gone a week. Thirty boys are expected to make the trip. , o Dr- and Mrs. Arthur W.
