Witty Quips Gem Newest I Roger Film Homely wit, ai humorous as any that Will Rogers himself creates as America's home-spun philosopher, bestrew his newest Fox Film picture, "Life Begins at 40," the fun-shaken comedy that comes next Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, June 23, 24 and 25, to the COZY Theatre. The cowboy-star Is cast as a droll country newspaper editor who injects in-jects big-time excitement into smalltown small-town folk- He throws the strong light of hilarity and good sense on friend and foe alike. From his mouth come some apt gems on life, love, politics, square shooting, contentment. On age, Will Rogers says in "Life Begins At 40, that "when you get to be forty, your mind sort of begins to chew its cud. You stop going off half ocked and learn moderation. That's when you begin to live." - How The World Changes The humorist adds: "At twenty, we don't care what the world thinks of us- At thirrty, we worry about what it thinks of us. At forty, we're sure it doesn't thing of us-" On self-praise, he opines that "hen eggs is more popular than duck eggs, because a hen cackles to advertise its product." On current politics, his thought is that "if them quintuplets up yonder was born in this country, two of 'em would have to be plowed under." About the business of successful' writing, regard this curio: . "When I started out to write and misspelled a few words, people said I was just plain ignorant. Soon as got to mispelling all of 'em, they discovered I was a humorist and said I was quaint." Remember, this is not Will Rogers confessing the secret of his success, but the country editor giving the low-down. Around Will Rogers is grouped an unusual cast, made up of Roche lie Hudson and Richard Cromwell in the juvenile romantic leads,' George Barbier, Jane Darwell, Slim Sum-merville, Sum-merville, Sterling Holloway, Thomas Beck, Roger Imhof, Charles Sellon, John Bradford and Ruth Gillette. o Mr. and Mrs. Francis Goates and children motored to Magna last Friday Fri-day for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. George Southwick.
