An evening of lively tames, followed by a delicious luncheon lunch-eon was enjoyed by the twenty friends attending the party. Her little eon burned both hands quite badly and was treated here during the week by Dr. Eddlngton at the local hospital They returned to Spanish Pork Sunday. The First Ward Primary officers and teachers were entertained at the home of Miss Freda Phillips last Thursday night for their regular regu-lar business meeting and social. Road Show were entertained at a social by the Mutual officers Tuesday evening, following Mutual. A variety of games and other social diversions were enjoyed and delic ious refreshments served. VT 0 ' PRETTY WEDDING HONORS YOUNG COUPLE A gay wedding reception was given Thursday evening in the Third ward chapel, honoring the marriage of Miss Bertha Powell and Edward S. Fox, which was solem nized Wednesday. November 7, In the Salt Lake Temple. The affair was outstanding among the social events of the fall season. The bridal party stood in a bower at the west entrance of the chapel, which was attractively decorated with flowers and pink and white streamers. The bride's attendants Included Miss Emily Powell, her sister, sis-ter, as maid of honor; Misses Lois Dickerson and Lucile Johnson, bridesmaids; little Misses Jerry An derson, Provo, and Esther Brems, flower girls. Eldred Fox, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Roger Price and Heber Hadfleld were ushers and escorted the bridesmaids. brides-maids. The maid of honor was es corted by the best man. Mrs. J. T. Powell and Mrs. I- W. Fox, mothers of the young couple, were, also Included In-cluded In the bridal party. The bride was lovely In a gown of white satin and carried a beautiful bridal boquet of chrysanthemums. Miss Emily Powell, maid of honor, wore a blue silk crepe. The two bridesmaids wore evening gowns of yellow taffeta and light blue silk crepe. The little flower girls were dainty In blue and pink frocks and each carried a basket of pink sweet peas and roses- Horace Hadfleld acted as master of ceremonies. Program numbers were given as follows: Vocal solo by Mrs. Nydia Price, reading by little lit-tle Miss Mariam Humphries of American Fork, vocal selection by Miss Rhoda Johnson, accompanied by Miss Mavis Johnson, a piano selection by Mrs. Owen Humphries of American Fork, and a reading by H. C. Evans. Dancing was enjoyed by the guests during the evening, the music being furnished by th Rhythm Boys orchestra. Dainty' refreshments refresh-ments were served to the many guests. Many beautiful and useful gifts were presented to the young couple. - About three hundred and fifty guests attended the affair, coming from Salt Lake City, Provo, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, American Fork and Lehi.
