Mr. and Mrs. Nevin Crabb and children and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Street motored to West Jordan Sunday Sun-day and spent the day visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur I. Peterson Miss Utella Smith and Audrey Johnson entertained at an oyster supper at the Smith home Friday evening. Covers were laid for Miss Smith, Howard Whlmpey, Miss Johnson and Bert Austin. Miss Lela Jones left Monday to spend, a week in Lark with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Reed. Merton Brown spent Sunday in Lehi with his wife and children. Mr. Fred Schown visited over the week end with his family. Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Kirkham, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond L. Kirkham and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Kirkham spent last Sunday night in Provo, vislt-at vislt-at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Russell, The Junior girls of the First ward Mutual entertained at a party last Tuesday evening. Social diver sions were enjoyed and dainty re freshments served. Mr. Wing was on business bus-iness for the Undertakers Association, Associat-ion, of which hs is secretary. While there they visited relatives and report re-port a gay time. They arrived home Monday evening. A group of young married people entertained at a delicious chicken supper at the State Street Cafe Wednesday evening. Following supper sup-per progressive games were played. The guest list included Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wing, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Smith. Mr. and Mrs. George Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Fowler and Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Allred were called to Provo last Thursday on account of the serious illness of Mrs. Alfred's father, David H. Jones. Mr. Allred returned home Sunday and Mrs. Allred is still at the bed side of her father. Dr. and Mrs. J. G. Jones spent Sunday and Sun-night Sun-night with him. He is still reported to be in a serious condition. A group of girls were entertained at a Valentine party Tuesday eve ning at the home of Miss Donna Hadfleld. A series of lively games were played and dainty refreshments refresh-ments served. A Valentine box and the distribution of valentines was. an important feature of the party. The girls present were Dorothy Gray, Norma Price, Phyllis Dorton, Udon Gough. Virginia Jackson, Helen Price, Leona Gray, Fay Dickenson, Dick-enson, Doris Dickerson, Mildred Edwards, Ed-wards, Willa and Donna Hadfield. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Steadman and son, Albert, of Midvale, Mr, and Mrs. A. E. Poison and children of Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Ward of Salt Lake City were Sunday Sun-day dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Dickerson. Elder Albert Steadman Just recently returned from the mission field in Colorado, where he was a missionary com panion of Arnold Dickerson. Ha reports Arnold doing solendid work and states that he Is a fine miss ionary. Elder Steadman talked In the Sacrament meeting In the Third ward Sunday evening. The young couple will make their home In Richfield. Miss Gardner is well-known in i this city, having taken an active part in church and social affairs and has many friends who extend their best wishes for her future l happiness and success. Mr. Curtis too, is well-known in his community and has many friends offering their congratulations. AGE 10 TO 60 YEARS This Society, which shall be known as the Tlmpanogos Benevolent Society is composed of residents of Utah County, Utah, in the vicinity of American Fork, Lehi, Pleasant Grove and surrounding country. Men and women In good health, between ten and sixty years of age, each to voluntarily donate, but without legal liability to do so, within thirty days after death of a subscriber to the person named by such deceased subscriber, or their j legal heirs the sum of ONE DOLLAR. A failure for more than thirty days to donate the one dollar shall terminate the subscriber's connection in this Society. Each subscriber shall voluntarily donate the sum of TWO DOLLARS subscription fee at the time of making aplicatlon for membership. A member leaving the territory embraced in this association still retains membership. SOME REASONS WHY THIS SOCIETY IS BETTER THAN ANYTHING ORGANIZED It pays no salary to any officer. You pay no money except on the death of a subscriber. subscrib-er. The amount of money received by the heir of a deceased subscriber will be all the money received from subscribers donating within thirty days after the death of a member, less the actual expense of collecting the same, which shall not exceed ten cents per member. If a death occurs it is one of your neighbors, you know to whom the money goes. The money is left in your own locality. A person of limited means can be a member. WE WANT YOU TO JOIN. Meiling attended a card party at Keeley's in Provo given by the American Legion Auxiliary of Provo. A group of young married folks were entertained at a Valentine party Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emery V. Peck. Hospital Notes Miss Beth Romney was removed to the home of Mrs. P. D. Worlton Tuesday from the hospital, where she recently underwent an appendicitis append-icitis operation. Miss Evelyn Brown returned to her home in Tooele, Sunday, after spending several weeks here visiting visit-ing with her aunt, Mrs. William Ritter. Mr. A. J. Evans, Hyrum J.Evans and Heber J. Webb motored to Og-den Og-den Tuesday and attended funeral services held for David Francis. Mr. Francis is a cousin to A. J. and Hyrum J. Evans. Mrs. Heber J. Webb accompanied them as far as Salt Lake City and spent the day visiting with her sister, Mrs. Emerson Emer-son Curtis. Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Littleford and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Littleford spent Saturday in Pleasant Grove, visiting visit-ing friends and relatives. The Primary children of the Fifth ward were given valentine parties in their various groups in connection connect-ion with their regular lessons, Tues day afternoon. Mrs. D. H. Chipman and son, R. D., of Salt Lake City visited over the week end in Lehi with Mrs. Chipman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Whipple. Edith Thrasher, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Thrasher, had her tonsils removed at the local hospital on Friday. Mrs. Joseph Marsh of Alpine underwent un-derwent a major operation at the Lehi hospital on Thursday. Mrs. W. L. Worlton is in the hospital hos-pital receiving medical treatment Mrs. Laveda Asay was removed to her home Thursday. She had an abcess lanced and was in the hospital hos-pital for a few days. Thornton Garrett had an abcess on his side lanced at the hospital, Monday.
