A delightful party was given Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon at the home of Mrs, J. W. Wing by the Fifth ward Sunshine Sun-shine Committee complimentary to Mrs. Martha Ann Taylor, the occasion being her birthday anniversary. Forty ladies were present and enjoyed social chat, games and dainty refreshments. A number of complaints have been made by citizens in the town that boys have been wilfully destroying their gardens. Warning is given that unless those boys cease this deetruct-ful deetruct-ful work they will be severely dealt with by the city officers. ' Dr. Fred Stauffer Gives Lecture At Lions Meeting ' At the regular lions Club meeting and luncheon last Thursday evening in the high school Dr. Fred Stauffer of Salt Lake, gave an exceptionally interesting and instructive talk. Dr. Stauffer has recently returned from an extended trip around the world. He had with him numerous colored slides and gave an illustrated lecture on Palestine where be made an Intensive In-tensive study of conditions in this section of the country. The members pronounced this a rare treat and are anxious to hear Dr. Stauffer again. Raymond Stewart sang two vocal solos. Several distinguished visitors from Pleasant Grove were in attendance attend-ance at the meeting. The prize given by Thomas Powers was won by Dr. W. L. Worlton. , o Bishop David Evans Family Reunion Friday The Bishop David Evans Family Association have issued announcement announce-ment cards to each individual family to the number of 250 so as to have one card in the home of each child, grandchild and great-grandchild having hav-ing a home of their own and one to those who are away from home at work or on a mission if properly placed by those having the business in hand, .for the ninth annual reunion of the family. It will be held at Saratoga Resort. All belonging to the family in any respect by birth or .marriage, will please meet this one day of 365 to get acquainted with each other and help the other fellow have a good time. No invitations are issued as each one of the family are entitled to be there, each having equaled rights as descendants of the Bishop, and no invitations are deemed deem-ed necessary. Mr. MeiHng was chosen to represent the local Lions Club. Mrs. Meiling accompanied her husband East, where they will also visit Chicago, St. Louis and many other Important cities while there. Miss Fern Gardner, Sidney Trinna-man Trinna-man and Thurman Gilchrist were the three students from Lehi who won scholarship honors at the University of Utah. Congratulatory cards were sent by the Scholarship Committee of the University to the 329 students who had the highest average grades for the year.
