Has your search for the perfect wallpaper taken you right out of your price range? Creative planning may allow you to have that dream paper and economy, too. Consider papering only one wall of a simple room, usually the first surface you see as you enter. Papering a plain wall may take less paper than fitting and piecing piec-ing around doors and windows, win-dows, and certainly takes less effort. Coordinating paint, contrasting con-trasting trim, border paper, or a simple stencil design taken from the paper itself, can be even more effective than total wallpaper coverage. cover-age. Erin McGuire, Pleasant Grove High School English Eng-lish teacher, entered a contest with over 70,000 entries. Fifty "wieners" were selected from across America and McGuire's entry was the sole wiener from Utah. The contest was titled "Oh I wish..." She wrote that she "wished to use the Oscar Mayer Wiener Mobile for a day to raise money for Operation Smile because hot dogs and smiles go together naturally...." The Wiener Mobile Drove from Colorado to pick McGuire up at her Provo home. From there it was to the Wal-Mart in Lindon to set up tents, tables and a grill for the fund raising event to benefit Operation Smile. "I saw it" read the stickers' stick-ers' given by the wiener team and they gave 'away wiener whistles to anyone who wanted one. The PGHS Operation Smile Club sold hot dog deals for $3, chips and drink included, and entered each customer into the drawing for a ride in the mobile. One. winner per hour was awarded the coveted ride. The club raised $1,200 for Operation Smile and McGuire received $5,000 toward her wish which will be given to the effort.
