Victor William 'Bill' Gaisford celebrates 80th Victor William (Bill) Gaisford will celebrate his 80th birthday March 27. He will be honored at an open house on Saturday, March 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at 945 N. 200 East, Lehi. Bill was born March 27, 1923, in Springville. He married Betty Gates March 27, 1947, in Provo. He has three children: Charles J. The newlyweds will be honored at a reception that same evening from 7 to 9 at Leland Wimmer celebrates 80th birthday Leland Pulley Wimmer celebrated his 80th birthday birth-day on March 7 while spending the winter months in Nevada and Arizona. Leland was born March 7, 1923, in Murray. He was the second son born to George Smith and Hazel Pulley Wimmer. He was raised in American Ameri-can Fork and received his early education in local schools. He graduated from American Fork High School in 1941. After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy. He earned a bachelors and masters degree at BYU, also earning credentials in counseling coun-seling and clinical psychology- He served in the Utah school system for 34 years. His career in education began in 1952, teaching fourth and sixth grades at Forbes School. He worked in Alpine District for 18 years. In 1965, be left the classroom and became one of the first elementary counselors in the state of Utah. In 1969 he accepted the position of school psychologist psy-chologist and part-time administrator in the Tooele County School District office. His duties included diagnostic diag-nostic work with handicapped handi-capped students, supervision supervi-sion of special education, i Victor William Gaisford Gaisford. . Leland Pulley Wimmer the child abuse and neglect program and inter-agency coordinator for the district. He retired in May 19S6. He married Evelyn Merikof'er Feb. 14. 1915, in Salt Lake City. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Aug. 21, 19 16. He has been an active member of the LDS Church. He served in many positions of leadership and served in the Third Ward bishopric. He served 12 years as high councilman in the Alpine and American Fork Stakes. He and his wile have served three full-time missions for the church. He has six children: Steven Lee Wimmer (deceased); Sheldon (Mary) Wimmer, Alpine; Raymond (Pat) Wimmer, Sterling, Va.; Han-ell (deceased); Linda Wimmer, Orem; DoriLynn (Gary) Roberts, Lehi; and Harold (Ruth) Wimmer Hyde Park.
